What other chars are already "modeled" in-game?

Not counting Sin, of course.

Technically almost everyone.

Fighting Game wise, only other person that comes to mind is Chipp's Secretary/Vice-President who actually has a kinda dope design to be honest. I wouldn't mind seeing him playable.

Sin is the only liable playable character at this point in the game's life.

at this point, everyone has the potential to be a selectable char, we can't really tell what Daisuke and Team Red are planning to do with the roster.

but at this moment, the only NPC full in-game model not in a cutscene etc is Sin, so he's probably more likely than others, due to being... well...made.

Game's lookin' good so far, hope I can play it in the future

Definitely with you on that, they would be smart to take their time patching this game. Nothing kills a games vibe more than too many patches.

Lol...maybe I'm mad bc I don't see baiken hos or zappa yet..hoping they will still make it in the game..If not...well so be it

There will more than likely be many more updates. timed releases seem to work well in an arcade format.

In the 'More videos' I also found this: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1hwlei_ram-chan-footage_videogames

Any vids or pictures w/ Chipp's secretary/VP? Curious about the design.

The first video isn't anything new, it's just footage of her boss form, the second is her as an actual playable character.

Here's footage of him, I think Suzaku said his name is Answer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qBPiPvkHu9M#t=1235

I figured that, but it was recently uploaded, so I thought it might be new. Either way, good for those who didn't see the videos Aristobule uploaded many moons ago.

Thanks. Definitely a ninja if I've ever seen one.

Well now I know why ArcSys decided to nerf Potemkin into the ground.  That theme of his is just too OP.

You know, as small, Japan-centric and overloaded with work as Arcsys is, you would think that by now they would find a way to get their soundtracks up for physical purchase or at least digital download asap.  If they did, I wouldn't have to be such a weaseling little scrub and rip theme from the various internet leaks that inevitably pop up.

And now that I've heard his theme all the way through, I'm convinced that Bedman really is the A.B.A. of Xrd, that theme of his just screams nightmare.

I can hear a ton of Isuka and Hard Corps Uprising in some of these songs, and that's a good thing.  Even some original soundtrack hints too, like Pot's "In Slave's Glory"

Anyway, Goldenrody recently uploaded several lengthy videos of Satou tearin' it up in +R.  Looks like he really might be holding out until Johnny Bravo gets into Xrd, not that I blame him.  Dude's amazing.

Knew I'd get reminded of that.  I should know better, been lurking dustloop for long enough to remember that much.

So, if anyone cares to answer, out of all the "new moves" (completely new or modified) characters have received, anyone have any favorites or see any as completely useless?

As previously mentioned, it SEEMS that Potemkin's flame pillar is utterly useless given he already has heat knuckle and HPB.  ICPM is funny as hell though and makes for some cool reversals when Pot comes flying across the screen.  Seems people are still getting used to it.

Speaking of Potemkin, I think his new 6K is pretty good. I'll miss having a standing overhead, but 6K is basically how he's expected to get ground combos now. It actually patches up a weakness he had in #R and I think once it starts getting used more, Potemkin might not be as miserable. And for corner air confirms? Wallsplat's a pretty helpful thing to have.

Is not even a reversal. Makes you wonder what were they thinking (drinking) when they gave Pot that useless move  :toot:

Still waiting for Ramlethal footage (versus).

Edit: :PO:  6K is also useful midscreen, he can do ··· 5k > 2s > 6k > flick/hammerfall, still don't know why they almost always go for the 2d ender (muscle memory maybe).

can sombody tell me the exact about what faust's black hole and balloon do ??

black hole seemingly drags the opponent in(?),and any other items on the screen will be dragged in too.

I mean, from what I've seen, it doesn't even hit on the sides.  Ralph in KOFXIII basically has the exact same thing, only it comes out faster, has 2 sizes (smaller is quicker), both are cancelable with other specials and they have a hit box that hits in the air AND the sides.

They obviously weren't drinking the good stuff, otherwise they would have just given Potemkin Magnum Opera as a normal, unblockable normal move like Ralph's Galactica Phantom.  Would've been hype/yolo/risky/swag/badass as f*ck.

But 6K really does seem like the miracle cure.  FAB and Konsome started making really good use of it once they rewrote their muscle memory now that 2S no longer vacuums.  It does hurt though, as Pot's combo option seem so... lacking now.  Get in, put in 3-4 hits, finishing with 2D, get pushed out of range, get back in, rinse and repeat.

So, is it true that the leaked OST contains Dizzy, Anji and Sin's themes, possibly hinting at them?

Screw that. Some troll was posting bogus into in the Philippine airdash fighter FB group.

I'll answer both. For modified, Dragon Install has to be it. It's actually viable now and Sol gets an actual Dragon FORM to be in when he uses it and the music changes too. All his moves get crazy DI buffs, even Tyrant Rave does when it didn't used to and when the mode ends you're not crippled by being put in danger state and made near-dizzy.

As for the best new move, Something like Millia's rose install would be it. That thing looks terrifying. Honorable mention goes to May's new Otter move (where the otter bounces a beach ball and she can jump off of the ball) cause otters are awesome.

The balloon is a joke item. It makes the characters talk in a chipmunk-like voice, like what happens when you breathe in from a helium balloon. Effect is about 15+ seconds long and will remain even after winning the round. It's pretty funny when you hear it.

Posted

I think the balloon can also be used to hide mix-ups, though the gas cloud is pretty small and doesn't last for too long.

The black hole also pulls in Faust himself, which means that he can unleash some nasty pressure if the opponent is sitting on it.

So I've heard that Holy Orders plays "when Ky lets his hair down". I had assumed he just had his hair down during IKs, because that's what I'd seen. But that's not it, is it? What's the condition for his ponytail coming undone? Can he still have his hair up when involved in IKs?

Posted

I think it's being knockdown when the opponent is at match point, something like that. Consider it the best comeback mechanic, badass music playing telling you to get your shit together. His hair can be up or down in IK's as far as I know. Maybe also having some lower HP on that round as well.
