HoudiniJr100 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Yes the karaoke versions are [largely] vocal-less, instrumental variants. only exceptions are the bass singer. (Who I did hear in the iTunes preview.)
ElvenShadow Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Purchased the Xrd tracks from Japan Amazon. Rockin out to some turned up full version of Heavy Day and knockin back some beers. Gonna go to Platon tomorrow night and enter their tournament. I'll try to check some of that Ramlethal stuff if I have a chance.
Jakestation Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 that matchup diagram is far from accurate i mean.....millia's shit tier on that thing Same stats are in the guild page. Bad players rarely use zato while they do pick a lot of millia. One of the reasons why millia is down there. Tiers are prolly totally different among good players, but that is still way better and more accurate than machaboos list.
Skyheartxia Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 that matchup diagram is far from accurate i mean.....millia's shit tier on that thing yeah, it's rather inaccurate. player lists are probably more reliable, because they dont take all skill levels in at once. it can sorta help with detecting bad MUs, though, if its noticeably bad on there.
Clousephinat Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I don't understand why is there so little people playing with Bedman, his command list is in fact the most easy to use of all and for what I have seen so far, Bedman seems really a promising and versatil character, maybe the fact that is not a "fun" character (since it rarely speaks during the battle) affects too much in the balance.

"Would YOU play him?", is the real question. His really stale combo routes kinda turn me off, but his strong defense, decent control of neutral, and strong Oki make me want to play him. Just not to an extend like sol, Millia, or now axl (who I kinda want to learn to play now)

I don't think many players are willing to learn a new character (especially on Arcade) and rather stick with characters that they are more familiar with from previous games.

Just not to an extend like sol, Millia, or now axl (who I kinda want to learn to play now) My main character is I-No and I doubt that's going to change, I really like Bedman however because of the strong pressure is able to put to the opponent like her as a matter of fact, although I'm also really curious about using the new Ky and May, that doesn't mean he can't become eventually one of the most used character or not for me. I don't think many players are willing to learn a new character (especially on Arcade) and rather stick with characters that they are more familiar with from previous games. From my whole view, because is in fact a new character it should have a little more usage, like Koichi tried him then. Of course, I'm not saying to use the character in tournaments if they don't feel like it, just saying but, in another hand we can see how Valentine has been really more used compared to Bedman when he was out.
youcanwonder Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I think bedman is very versatile as well. I'm sure people are playing him...He prolly just not getting to exploited right now but I'm sure that will change. As to will i play him? I will def toy w him to see if I like his style..until baiken or zappa make an appearance I'm rolling w him and may right now I'm thinking
Skyheartxia Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Bedman has a lot of styles he can adapt to for a player; (see LOX rushdown make you cry, Tsubu's zoning/INTENSE PUNISH GAME [he can punish Ky 6K with teleport dash throw for gods sake] and HellDoll's strong combos/mixup) i feel like his weakness is that his defense is lacking, even his 236C has very little guard point and isnt really a good reversal its more of a pressure/ air mode combo tool. But, many people like Koichi drop him because his seals/setups are specific and require a lot of adapting. if you can get the setups and neutral, you're good, his combos arent too hard. i just feel like a lot of people who had characters hoping to make it in went to an easier character to learn the system (Ky/Sol) also hes a bishie guy and not a young lady so hes instantly lost an audience haahhaha. but really, hes a strong character with SO much more potential to him. every weekly i see tsubu learn something new, become better. EDIT: what i actually mean with koichi dropping him is when he played him he seemed to drop a lot of pressure and setups along with whiffed 1/2/3HS moves a lot, so that might be the reason
king of heart Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Just like i was saying, i feel that you are talking from a console gamer point of view. Xrd is a new game and people on Arcades are all over it. It's really hard (especially since it's Guilty Gear) to just pop a 100Y = around 1$ to try to learn a new character for about 3-5 minutes and most of the times someone else will challenge you before you're done, beat you and kick you out of the cab. unlike consoles where you can spend hours playing and training for free.

Destin Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Maybe koichi just dropped him because he wanted to play rammy from the start?
Jakestation Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Maybe koichi just dropped him because he wanted to play rammy from the start? Koichi is playing i-no btw and already doing stuff with her which we havent seen before https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8f64VvF-R4o Also mikado steam is live, pretourny casuals going atm http://www.twitch.tv/joniosan
youcanwonder Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I like the fact that even though pot is the worst char in the game, fab still sticks to him..good char dedication
D.R.F. Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Fab is a beast. He can make reads that no other pot can do, besides hes been playing for a long time
NesmerII Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Fab is a beast. He can make reads that no other pot can do, besides hes been playing for a long time This, most definitely. I had never seen someone do such insane things with a GRAPPLER character until I saw FAB's Accent Core (+R) Potemkin. I honestly cannot wait for ArcSys to wise up and actually give Xrd Pot some new/old/USEFUL tools and see what FAB can do with them and the RC system, because ICPM and that f*cking Flame Pillar aren't going to cut it, considering the most I've consistently seen is Hammerfall YRC >> Pot Buster and maybe a few clutch ICPM's.
D.R.F. Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 You people are honestly insane lol. Potemkin Doesnt need ALL THAT MUCH. 2s vacuum and a.c. heat knuckle and he would be insane. Potemkin players correct me if im wrong, but this, and a overhead (like 6k from the past) and he would be a real monster by monster proportions
ElvenShadow Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 To answer some Ramlethal questions... Her swords when used from the placed orbs seem to act like projectiles for purposes of Blitz Shield. I also could be wrong about this but I tried to BS her glowing green move where she lunges forward at you and I think it also might act as a projectile in the sense that she does not get put in the counter state. This was against the computer in training mode and it was hard to tell if I actually did it right or not so take this with a grain of salt for now. Faust can crouch under her spinny sword super at the start of it but once it starts to move forward he can't seem to do so anymore.

D.R.F. Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 that would be too much lol =))) Just the old pushback and AC's heat knuckle will be enough for a new age This man understands. The rc system allows the player to accommodate for weaknesses, I like that
shinr Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Speaking of the new RC system: Besides the major rebalancing it would bring, what if the Overdrives cost 25% outside of combos like YRCs, and Forcebreaks cost 50% during the combo if they were added back?

Dragon install for 25% !? . . . . . . . i really don't know what to say!
