ninjay Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Yeah why is that exactly? Did someone actually cheat before? lol It's not really cheating using a wireless device, but there is an issue with syncing. If you use something like a PS3 DS3 controller, it has to sync to the PS3. If you do not desync it after you are done playing, you could accidentally press the home button on a console other people are playing on. That can ruin a match during tournament play.

My original main is Johnny but seeing as he's not in here (yet), I decided to main I-no. Anyone else has to compromise?

Part of me wants to go extreme and learn Pot since I've never played a grappler. Does anyone think there will be a patch before console release or will they let things go for a while being the first of a new series? What is the overall consensus on Xrd balance anyway (Solid?)?

I've always been a one character per game type of person, but since the cast is limited and those who have always played GG have some sort of leverage. I've gone to great lengths to develop a sub in Flaming-Dive-Kicks-R-Us, he looks hella fun. And with show much I intend to play this game, having a sub (or two) will keep the game fresh and fun for me. Also I think the balancing is pretty damn good, but some characters lost more from the removal of FBs than others, and some characters didn't get enough utility from their new moves to overcome these loses, examples like Slayer and Potemkin (among his nerfs). It's not just Ogawa. Man is just a goddamn monster with Sol. He played a nasty Testament during AC too.

The game is really fun and I'm sure you all will find someone you enjoy using until your main eventually returns. If Faust wasn't in I would have tried Axl or I-no most likely. Once console version is out I may just play them as sub characters anyway just to help the local scene learn other matchups than Faust when playing with me. (As by then I'll have already moved back to Chicago)

I'm 2nd place for most wins with Faust at the moment and I'm ranked 8th best Faust for risk rating. While checking that list. I noticed machaboo is ranked 6th place for Faust risk rating! I didn't even know he had a Faust! I guess a top class player like him can just pick anyone and be good!

Other than that, since Bridget is my sub, I plan to sub Bedman here. He seems really fun to play as well, I'm looking forward to it.

I definitely think its true for these top players, they can pick up any number of characters and do so well with 'em. Meanwhile I can barely get to 'just OK' using one character. That's the difference between them and me I suppose, lol...

I don't have any kind of grudge if someone asks me but yeah, no matter what people says in the end number of characters means nothing if at least most than a 80% I'm playing always against Sol.
