ElvenShadow Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Dark green Faust is what I always wanted. I'm happy!
Soviet Bear Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 So glad ASW didn't take the Netherrealm studios route. Keep it VN style. I don`t want GGXrd story to be a 5 hours movie. I'd rather have a 5 hour movie than a 5 hour book. NR did a great job with both MK and Injustice's story and set the bar quite high. Even if Xrd is going the VN route, I sincerely hope they make it close to #reload and AC. Exchange few lines > fight. BlazBlue's story mode made me hate words. EDIT: I don't mind reading in general, by the way. It's just that a lot of VNs tend to have cringe-worthy writing. I was fine with BBCT, but then it started getting more and more and more taxing. I played 999 the other day and it made me realize just how good VNs can be if the writing is good. Sadly, I don't think ASW does a proper job bringing their otherwise creative worlds to life in the VN format.
king of heart Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I am definitely hoping for new colors or some dlc shit. It is nonesense especially for poor may she has like two nice colors I want this back! It's been in all games!http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/images/8/8e/Sol_ex_k.gif
D.R.F. Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Nice. I want roi's old zombie sol palatte:( it is so cool
Layer Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 MK9's story mode is probably my favorite story mode of any fighting game ever, with CS behind. I'm actually a big VN reader so I didn't have much problems with how BB did their story mode and I think CS was able to pull it off pretty well because everything was still so vague about what was going on and the whole mystery of the time looping which made it fun to keep reading, until CP and holy crap I can barely get myself through it. They use soo many words to say so little and I get a very small sense of progression as I play it and maybe I've grown tired with their over use of esoteric jargon. Though that's not to say I prefer the way GG has done their stories before where it was meet somone, exchange two lines of dialogue, fight, repeat. The in house localization might have had an effect on it as well, which keeps me worried about Xrd and how ASW will handle it. I just think it's a shame to have these awesome 3D models and not use them to their fullest extent. But we'll see.

You can have adjusted gameplay based on what happens, minor character skirmishes (even multiple characters) with limited movesets or even in Isuka or old school beat 'em up style. Well, there is just a lot that could be done, but I understand that it's a minor element of fighting games. I will say that many people really enjoy Injustice's and MK's single player game. Many people are playing P4U2 just because it's more Persona story of characters that they enjoy. I'm still waiting for some just-because hack job 2v2 or Isuka mode. I think more colors will be in the game-- seems like a given right?

The latter probably wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the priority list but it would be cool. I think that colours will eventually be changeable on the fly, or a more comprehensive colour set will be released... It seems like something that wouldn't be too much work....
Blade Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 If ARCSys are the nice people they usually are they'll let us do a palette vote like they did for Accent Core at some point. Personally I'm voting for dark or invert style colors: http://i.imgur.com/ejOJYmm.jpg
Destin Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Can someone hack isuka to make the turn around a button a character focus button instead? So I just press it to change which character I am facing?
king of heart Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Just like I said before. I saw the texture map for the characters. Its all just colored squares. Anyone with basic knowledge in Photoshop can edit them.
Blade Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Palette Edits in GGIsuka weren't that great though for certain characters (Dizzy for one had a fixed set of them for Necro and Undine, something to do with memory compression likely). Not to mention A.B.A. had that palette glitch of hers. When it comes to GGXrd, I'm thinking if someone manages to figure out how to edit the textures, that might give us a bit of fun (hopefully it's not as difficult as Soul Calibur's Creation save files as far as Hex-edits go). BUT... I shouldn't say that, because we shouldn't be hacking GG games lol (the ARCSys Cops may be watching).
ElvenShadow Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 It is almost a given that they will add more colors for console. Every single GG fighter has had extra colors compared to the arcade version.
White Man Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 There's also the fact that color pack DLC is pretty much a given. Those are literally free money for ASW.
TekkamanArk Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 There's also the fact that color pack DLC is pretty much a given. Those are literally free money for ASW. Not if they suck as bad as BBCP's.
king of heart Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I hope they release packs like: Reload color pack, Slash color pack, etc . . .
White Man Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 What do you guys want to bet gold colors will be paid DLC?
king of heart Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 BTW anyone wondered about EX characters ? Since they might have new moves for the next Xrd title.
Soviet Bear Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I always liked the idea of EX characters. Reminded me of Samurai Shodown 3. MK10 already has 3 variants per character, so I think at least EX version of the current cast wouldn't make things feel as empty.
Fenrir Werwolf Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 BTW anyone wondered about EX characters ? Since they might have new moves for the next Xrd title. No plz, just a Waste of time that could be used for something else Anyway, I guess that arcsys is gonna announce the release date and the new chara during arc revo?

I hope they continue along with that. Just watching skme of the preliminary matches make me so excited regardless
king of heart Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Well after announcing Xrd last year. I am hoping for something big this time.
Jocelot Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 A concrete release date would honestly be all it takes to make me hype.
