Honestly I'm so new to playing fighting games seriously that I don't even know what kind of character I like yet.

Why? because he ROCKS! 66>VV>RC>5k>stuff>SODIUM ^2 strong lol  But in all honesty, Sol's fafnir is the only move I'd nerf, otherwise I don't there is anything bad about this character. I really like how Daisuke "fixed" a lot of his tools to make them overall more effective now.

Also you can't be Fafnir happy because there are many ways to punish that. This is coming from someone who is actually playing the game!

I feel like the game's localization is going to be rushed and tons of things finished last second, and therefore they aren't ready to announce a concrete day yet, just so they don't end up delaying it by 2 weeks after giving us a date.

Â We need a status screen of some kind that updates itself online and tells us what our local scene is like based on win records and junk. Â I don't mean like Scoreboards or Ranking per se, because we already know people abuse Online Ranking mode to save their precious numbers by rage quitting if they don't win. Â I mean something that's based on character-specific win rates/use for any mode in the game that can calculate the difference for us in case we want to know who gets picked the most in our areas or regions or who has the highest win % (leaving out mentioning top players because really tier list isn't about that it's about the characters).

And the ones you're going to see on the internet from top players apply to the higher levels of play. Why do you need to know the characters of which mediocre players are doing better? What difference does that make? How do you determine who is or isn't a top player to calculate into that? How do you exclude their specific games? What would be the actual point? Do people care what character Jane Doe is winning with against John Doe?

The company also states that the US will get its release in 2014. Most sites say Xrd hit's US on the 31st of Dec. As for the Tiers people should really just stop. I've seen at least 2 tier lists for Xrd and they vary greatly. It's more important to learn your matchup's than making a tier list your bible. On a completely different note. I really hope the Xrd scene in the states gets huge with tons of weekly tournies and majors.

Listen, no disrespect intended but...no one's making a tier list their bible, please don't turn this thread into a "lol tiers don't matter" thing, We all already know that tier lists aren't God. We don't need someone jumping around yelling about how dumb tier lists are every time someone brings one up.

Pichy covered Axl's descent well, but how about Chipp's rise in the two recent top player tier lists? He's generally been a character relatively strong everywhere except health/defense and damage output. Some of the mixups he has are insane (off the wall and invisible stuff), and teleport YRC is just adds to an already amazing neutral game. I was tempted to call him S based on observations, but I figured it might have been my bias as a Venom (Venom's worst matchup is often Chipp). Hmmm.

Really looking forward to playing chipp once the game comes out on console.
