NeoStrayCat Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Xrd Shipping Stuff... Well, I dunno, but it seems like the image does say ships 12/16, but the handling method does say "allow transit time and 2 days processing", dunno if its before or after release, so yeah. <_< I'm rather suggesting you rather get it pre-ordered in store instead (unless you live close to a EB/GS.), saves you the shipping cost, but then again...long waits for niche NA releases to be delivered in Can. can take a while. >_> Just 53 more days... Make that 52...
Yukikaze Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Pre-orders generally state the same thing. We will try to ship on or before release if possible. Some places will ship a day or two early, but its the Xmas period, so I would expect some delay. Does anyone know when the Gamstart Asia XRD tourney is starting today? I cannot find a time for today's match's only tomorrows finals. http://gamestart.asia/#!schedule.html http://www.twitch.tv/gamestartasia Edit: Nearly finished. http://toughcookietv.challonge.com/SonyGGXrdGS20143v3
SoWL Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 In my experience, Amazon is way too pessimistic about its delivery estimates. If I were to believe it, my copy of P4U is only going to arrive tomorrow, even though I've been playing it for two weeks already. And I don't even live in America
Uncivilized Elk Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Amazon is supposed to have an option for release-date shipment, so you get the game on release date as far as I know.
Tenj|n Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Sorry guys, there is absolutely no footage from GameStart's Xrd qualifiers. There was no free play/ practice time beforehand coz a SF tourney was taking place in the same area, everybody was practically playing it for the first time and fooling around. Lots of El and Sol but minimal Sin :x The organizers did inform me that the finals will be streamed, so keep a look out. I have no idea which teams made it lol

king of heart Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Today's Mikado tournament. I was teamed up with En Slayer and two other strong players that i don't know. first match was against Karinchou, Endou and Nakamura. http://www.twitch.tv/joniosan/b/581625065
TAI-X Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 I'm pretty sure that big companies in the fighting genre like ASW or Capcom have a lot of pressure from Stick manufactures, I don't think they will use this. A representative from MadCatz has already said that they're okay with it, but I imagine Hori will be pretty pissed if the next Tekken or Street Fighter uses similar drivers.
Argent Zero Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 So is everyone planning to buy the PS4 or the PS3 ver? Better yet, where's the mainstream headed for Guilty Gear?
Jakestation Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 So is everyone planning to buy the PS4 or the PS3 ver? Better yet, where's the mainstream headed for Guilty Gear? Does it matter? PS4 players can play online vs PS3 players.
The Magnet Technician Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 So is everyone planning to buy the PS4 or the PS3 ver? Better yet, where's the mainstream headed for Guilty Gear? Well, some TOs in this thread have said that they're likely gonna get the PS3 version because that's what most of them own and there's really not much else in the way of fighting games for the PS4.
MasterXDrake Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 So what kind of netcode will Xrd use? How does the PS3/PS4 cross play really work? PS4 could use the power it has for a better netcode.
D.R.F. Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 So what kind of netcode will Xrd use? How does the PS3/PS4 cross play really work? PS4 could use the power it has for a better netcode.I mean you can get an amazing netcode on the ps3 and 360 to begin with (skullgirls and VF5FS are prime examples). They are probably going to use the netcode used in bbcp and p4U, which is pretty good (I hope we get netcode akin to VF5FS.) I think the main focus is to make sure it is compatible with ps4 and ps3, which I have faith they succeeded in. Also, if you have wired connection, you should be okay regardless. We don't play NRS games guys;p
Mumm-Ra Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 What is this about el and sin? Did they release on arcade or something?
NeoStrayCat Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Well, I'm also gonna try to get it on PS3-US/NA-LE, so yeah, cheaper, and stuff. What is this about el and sin? Did they release on arcade or something? Nope, still console exclusive, for now, but they did show them off from TGS a while back.
klaww Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 So do we know how extensive the Soundtrack that comes in the LE is? is it a sampler or the entire soundtrack?
werewolfgold Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Actually Arc deleted all the story of XX series.lol XX series stories are all about Ino's time traveling, they put all of them into Ino's personal story, said she have saw the future of human's end many times, and she tried to change it, that's what heppened in XX series, but in the end, all she had done are meaningless. So time line goes back to GGX's ending and directly linked to Overture. It might be ok to remove XX series stories from the main story line. That wouldn't make a whole lot of sense, though. Seeing as 1. the game has a character besides I-no in the game introduced in the XX game (Slayer), and 2. the game builds on events that occurred in XX (such as Chipp wanting to become president). Things like that aren't central by any means, but there doesn't seem to be a real reason to just pretend it doesn't exist, especially when perhaps some people's favorite characters would be written out of existence so to speak. So do we know how extensive the Soundtrack that comes in the LE is? is it a sampler or the entire soundtrack? It's a sampler. It has the vocal tracks in the game (Heavy Day, Lily, Ride the Fire, etc.) and some tunes from the Vastedge pachinko game.
TAI-X Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 So is everyone planning to buy the PS4 or the PS3 ver? Better yet, where's the mainstream headed for Guilty Gear? Assuming there aren't any glaring issues with the port (i.e. frame drops), the PS3 version will almost certainly be the Western tourney standard for the forseeable future. It's especially going to be a necessity for smaller venues without a lot of money. I suspect that EVO will use PS4s, though, because Sony is a regular sponsor and they'll insist on having their new hardware pimped. If the game gets any mainstream attention, it will be from general audience early adopters of the PS4 who are just starved for something to play on the system. Most of them won't stick around, though.
Uncivilized Elk Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I'm rather ignorant on the subject but if the PS3 has frame drops while the PS4 does not, would that make for online compatibility to be a nightmarish desynching mess - or nothing of the sort?
TeeJay Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Anyone watch the Xrd 3v3 finals for the Singapore tourney?
Uncivilized Elk Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Random noob-level question. Are charge characters way more prone to negative penalties because they have to often hold back to use charge moves?
4r5 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Pretty sure ps3 version will be fine, since any slowdown would cause a desync, which would be hard to miss during development. But hey, SF4 exists. Though the good side (?), despite itself,SF4 is still well received. There are videos of axl getting neg'ed,during a chain stance combo. Granted he was in stance, like, the entire round.
werewolfgold Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Is this real? The one in the middle is Sol's model. The right one is an edit that someone who thought that his shoulders were too broad did. Random noob-level question. Are charge characters way more prone to negative penalties because they have to often hold back to use charge moves? Different characters have a different time set for how long it takes before a negative penalty sets in. It's not uniform across the board, so things like whether that character is meant to play keep away or a charge character or something is taken into account.
MasterXDrake Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Damn. The right one should be Sol's model. Someone should show this to the developers.
