People here aren't complaining over nothing, dude. It's sub-AC quality, and I'm not exaggerating.

You're the only one complaining about graphics so far.

I'm not sure what people expected from delay based netcode. Rollback would be better in 100% of situations, but there's like one modern game that even uses it. This feels like every other fighting game I've ever played online, but now you can see the exact number and I'm pretty sure people are just overreacting to that.

it feels exactly like every other fighting game online, yeah.

gg just has stricter inputs and is faster so it "feels" worse too because unlike BB there isn't a huge amount of startup on moves (which when you add 2 frames to 7 frame startup, doesnt feel as unresponsive as 2 frames to 4 or even 1f startup) and as far as i can tell theres less input leniency because theres no "hold down a button to repeat input for 5 frames" which means you usually have a 2-3 frame window from naturally pressing a button to get it out at the first possible instance.

this is the C- of netcode. it passes, but shit this should not be what you expect out of your children, arcsys. you can stomp capcom in every other part of game development but somehow netcode is always where you drop the ball and meet them at the lowest possible expectation.

the netcode is functional, no use whining about it. go whine at arcsys, not on dustloop.

I swear to god if I play this game online and it doesn't have 10 frame delay and cause my router to explode I'm gonna be hella disappointed. Yall sound like a bunch of DarkSydePhils with this talk.  Sub-AC what the fuck lol.

I'm a little disappointed with the graphics myself, models in general are kind of blurry and then when you do some actions the game will often decide to blur the screen further (I'm even seeing this with Millia's grab), when doing RC's animations seem a little choppy, etc etc etc

game is fun and it's not the AH2 PS2 port but I definitely feel like I'm playing the budget edition

which I kinda am lol

That's because you have it set to performance mode. Set it to quality mode and the game will look fine. I haven't encountered any slowdown yet, but it won't make that much of a difference either way.

Sorry if this has been asked, but anybody knows how many chapters (counting A and B parts) there are in story mode?

I find it interesting and all, but right now I'm just tryna play this Sin, y'know...

The graphics would be just fine, except everyone has been seeing the PS4 version for all of the console promotion, plus the demos that have been available. Combine this with the cross-buy DLC and save uploads, and it's clear that ASW prioritized the PS4 version and gave people an easy way to upgrade to it if they choose to. A lot of this complaining is excessive, and is doing damage to the game for people who haven't even gotten a chance to play it yet. The 30FPS comment made its way to the front page of SRK, now how many people who may have planned to buy the game for PS3 will skip it entirely? Who knows, but that's negative press the game didn't need.

Moving on, for those of you who want the "quickest" way to unlock Sin, completing a character's Challenges in Challenge mode grants you a 20,000W$ bonus. So theoretically, if your execution is up to it, you could do 10 characters and have enough for Sin in a very short period of time. I'm gonna try it once my PS4 copy gets here.

I'm planning to get the US PS3 release. How does the netplay compare to P4A Ultimax? Netplay is a make or break for me. There's no scene here unless it's a Capcom game.

Fucking this .  Remember guys, this is GG's comeback.  The game does not need any mroe unwarranted negativity, absolutely toxic for the community and newcomers.

And another thing is that you guys always complain about netplay so anyone with half a brain and plays online should already know not to listen to what some of you say about net play. It's better to just see for yourself

IMO, there's no such thing as "negative press the game doesn't need," provided it's factual. The SRK blowup was pretty bullshit, since it's a blatant misrepresentation, but the fact the game defaults to a "quality" mode (and hell, that there even -is- a quality mode, in some sense) is still pretty bad. Setting your fighting game's default to "might not run at 60 fps... sorry, guys!" just isn't acceptable. It's fucking 2014. We will know, and it will cause problems. This shit shouldn't happen.

i dunno whats people problem. processing runs decent enough. its nothing compare to jojo all star battle

That doesn't say much, you know.

jjasb is infamous for being 30fps fighter which handle its frame rate poorly. those who play it competitively have to be restricted to certain stages and characters to avoid frame rate issues which is still unreliable. here we have game that i believe does its best to accommodate and yet theirs majority scrutinize the game because some of it setbacks that i personally find minor. if anyone for second thought this game wasn't going to have issue on inferior hardware compare to the the ps4 or arcade board wasn't being realistic.

No, every negative thing is considered whining. You're not allowed to dislike any aspect of the game. The game is perfect in every way, the character models, framerate and netcode don't even matter. All joking aside, I think people should be allowed to have an opinion without being called a whiner. Some people had legit issues with the game, they're not complaining because they want to offend you, they were just expecting a more polished game. Arcsys even stated they had trouble trying to port it to PS3 and even in the first day there was already an online bug. The game isn't perfect, there's no need to get asshurt whenever someone criticizes it. We all love the game, and that's why we want it to be as great as possible.

I mentioned in my post that doing challenge mode gives you 20000 for every character you complete. You also get 20000 for finishing tutorial mode. 10 times in total and bam, you get Sin.

Story Mode Completion: 100,000

Tutorial Mode Completion: 20,000

Mission Mode: 300 per completed mission

Challenge Mode: 1000 per completed Challenge

Versus: 100 per round won for the winner (at least against the CPU it is)

Arcade: Variable amount I think, I got like 4136 or something when I first did it, not sure.

Tutorial: 0 total for time spent.

Netplay player matches seem to give 0, not sure about ranked considering how hit or miss the netplay is at the moment.

Currently, I just have Axl vs Potemkin, 1 round, 30 second, beginner, 5P on turbo. 14 win streak so far :V
