If we get another character for console it will most likely be Johnny or other returning character(s). Ram is the boss and that will not change.

That and if there is a stream archive of Xrd at Evo. I watched a few minutes of it but was also streaming SF Pools that same time on fraudulent 3mbps internet-- I pretty much watched everything.

I heard that the setups at EVO were unfortunately on laggy monitors so it may have hindered the experience for some people.

Yeah, the Dynex monitors next to the main center display had lag. It felt like 3 bar GG online.

They have confirmed the story takes place after the arcade version I believe. But if it's another boss, maybe it would be like the Imperator one in BBCP? (Apocalypse style)

Sorry, I dunno how dumb this sounds, but I just have a quick question about RC's in Xrd.

Since RC has startup frames now (6 for YRC iirc) do you think we could see people beating it on reaction with moves that are faster? Like if Venom YRC's Stinger Aim during a blockstring, can Sol use VV (5 frame startup iirc) to punish Venom?

I dunno if it's possible to react to a 6 frame move but do you think it's a possible tactic to be explored more in Xrd's lifetime. I was thinking about it because people were talking about being hit out of YRC a few pages back.

So... I don't think this has been mentioned, but GGXrd is confirmed to have English voiceovers.  I asked two Aksys employees at the Xrd booth at Evo at different times, and both confirmed that there will be dual audio.  They also said that Aksys has no input over handling the VA casting and whatnot, as that side is being handled/directed by Arcsys.  It was interesting that both employees I asked about this didn't show any hesitance in answering my question and were discussing it pretty freely, unlike some other topics that came up.

So what has been Aksys' role in the later BB games and now Xrd? Are they just purely handling the distribution of NA physical copies?

I guess that's how it is so far, even in a couple of posts somewhere here/there, Xrd is handled by ASW again. But yes, Aksys is, as usual, handling the distribution/marketing of the US/NA release.

It's really weird to think about how much work was put in to this game and yet still people are asking/griping to ARCSys to tweak or change this or that because to them it's just a "simple fighting game"... http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2099538&postcount=229

I hardly understand half the jargon used in that article. :?:

Omg 600 joint for one character!

That's insane!

Thanks, only 25 persons from ASW working in the game, I wonder how big are the Blazblue and Persona teams?.

Can you speak about those other topics?.

Oh, I didn't mean to be mysterious, haha.  Just the usual stuff like additional console characters, limited edition release, and such.

Though now that you mention it, I'm reminded of a conversation I overhead regarding the LE.  The conversation went like this...

Guy in front of me: "Is there going to be a Limited Edition and where can we order it?"

Aksys employee: "We'll have more information about the LE closer to launch"

Guy: "So that means there's going to be a LE?"

Aksys: "...We'll have more information about the LE closer to launch."

Guy: "Well that's an interesting way of answering that question."

Yeah, I thought my friend had told me that he asked them about English Voice Over stuff, but I was so burned out that I wasn't even sure anymore.  Thanks for confirming that.  English VA should get some people to play it that otherwise might not have cared.

The Limited Edition better include the complete soundtrack in the highest quality possible.

While we are at soundtrack, I noticed this:

http://www.play-asia.com/guilty-gear-xrd-sign--paOS-13-49-en-70-7txr.html

  • Let’s Rock! - The multi-talented man behind Guilty Gear, Daisuke Ishiwatari, once again arranges and composes the music of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- featuring over 80 heavy rock tracks!

Retailers often can leak some stuff. This may or may not be true, but that would mean that we will have music from previous games maybe :)

Interesting, if is true, maybe they will include old songs?, even if the story mode is huge with a lot of new music, I doubt it will reach 80 tracks.

Okay, so other retailers say "over 27 tracks", while the P-A listing says "over 80 tracks"? Well, not sure what to think about it yet, but guess we gotta wait until console release to see how much they can cram the tracks onto. (DLC not or nowwithstanding, since they did the same with BB:CP, but that's a different story.)

Also, kind funny on that LE statement saying as thinking "Yeah, we'll have it, but we won't announce it yet until we feel like it", but no problem there, just gotta wait for an annoucement and a price. Also speaking on that Soundtrack statement Bobman says, just hope it'll be an actual Soundtrack (or unless more like a sampler in most game LE's or in pre-order bonuses), because we all know what happened to the one on the US BB:CP LE "Soundtrack" on that. >_>

But I don't think to worry about such things, just gonna have to wait and see soon enough, I guess.
