Hate the nitpick, but they've ALWAYS been called Psych Bursts.

Yeah, people have already told that. I double-checked the Wiki before posting, and it didn't have the Psych part, so blame them v:v:v

Thanks. Let me know if you see any other mistakes in the command transcriptions.

It's not really a mistake, but it took me a while to realize that "(Midair)" means that the move has a midair option (as opposed to only being possible in midair). Maybe it should be written more clearly?

And from the news thread:

Once it reaches a certain level, you can counter any attack from your opponent.

The wording is pretty confusing here: what it does is that all your attacks become counter-attacks if the enemy's R.I.S.C. level is high enough.

And I just noticed this, but Millia seems to have some text written on her shoulder ribbon. "-xy black data"?

The yellow RC looks like it's just an RC for projectiles that haven't landed yet. Do projectile > input RC > TOKI YO TOMARE > swag combos.

私サイコ!!

Also, another nitpick, but I'm kinda sad they're using CG for lead character illustrations... I wanted more of that sexy Ishi goodness ^^; All da copics~

Only Millia is in 3D,Sol and Ky are both 2D.

It's clearer on main character page, pretty sure it says 'the dark'. I'm assuming the full ribbon is 'still in the dark.'

Her chest button also says something that's a lot less clear but seems to start 'Ch' so it might say 'Chastity...' something??

it looks like -ny -ry or -xy + "in the dark", which sadly rules out a good music reference. As for the chest loop, couldn't even make a solid guess. Definitely seems to be "Ch---ty" - could be charity, chastity, etc.

I mean computer generated illustrations in general, wanted some traditional media, which is why I mentioned copic markers

so has ky lost his javelin move? please dont let this game turn into kof 12...

Uhh, care to explain?

And why exactly do you need more moves? The game already was exciting before stuff was added in AC.

Going back to the roots where the system was more simple doesn't have to be bad.

I can agree with this, but I can't co-sign since I never really *learned* GG until AC, so I can't really say.

It'll be okay, guys. Either the system will work out as it's shown now, it'll be changed for the better, or you can keep playing AC/whatever other game you want to pick up. There's no need to get upset over Xrd's changes, we've got plenty of time to see how it all pans out.

This image leads me to believe that FRC's still might be in, in one form or another since the tension bar still accounts for 25% increments. (it's over 25% filled and it's green instead of being blue)

Th only iffy thing right now is "YRCs" since more or less everything else has been finely honed over the years, and I won't miss any of AC's systems outside of FBs, but it's not like GG ever needed them (and I never got FB Yozansen, harumph!) but yeah, I'm sure +R will be more than enough for anyone wanting to hand on to AC, especially since we should just now be receiving it this month on consoles \o/

Also KoF XII was the best beta test ever, the quality of XIII can attest to that :>

That being the only screenshot with meter between 50 and 0, it's not clear where or not it's actually showing an increment there. It could be green from the start until turning red at 50.

Also, something I'm curious about: whenever Sol is shown RCing, he's in the same pose. Either RCs make you airborne, or they have a burst-like animation. Wonder which?

If this is GG's way of going back to basics to get more people into the game, I'm fine with losing some moves, FRCs, and FBs.

So this is Guilty Gear's SF4 eh? Oh well, doesn't look half bad as of now. Hopefully they don't take out characters for some insane reason.

So, who lost or gained what moves?

Yeah, I don't think we're getting back every single character + new ones. It could happen I suppose, but I wouldn't put money on it.

After looking at RC with some time to think about it, its looking to potentially behave like X-Factor. Not in the come-back mechanic tomfoolery category, of course, but in the sense that it looks like you can do it at any time since it says it "can interrupt movement, actions and the recovery of actions,". The difference between the Red and Yellow RC's could be related to one is used while the opponent is in hit-stun and the other is used in neutral, and it would seem reasonable that you wouldn't slow down an opponent in neutral for as long as one in hit stun to reward you for using it offensively instead of just for footsies madness.

To step away from speculation, though, I'm really excited that the test is going to have 7 playable characters. I'm honestly surprised to see more than Sol and Ky ready for fisticuffs.

I anticipate X'rd to have the entire original cast, bridget or Dizzy + one new character. (16) total

Axl Low

Baiken

Chipp Zanuff

Faust/Dr. Baldhead

Johnny

Justice

Kliff Undersn

Ky Kiske

May

Millia Rage

Potemkin

Sol Badguy

Testament

Zato-1/Eddie

the RC/YRC system is to minimize the tight execution barrier while offering the same mechanic of an FRC. ^_^
