Shout outs to poorly written french signs all over the Paris Hotel. Shout outs to 4G Hotpots. (Not really, fuck you. But still shout outs because I could use it for Twitter, thanks Ama.) Shout outs to all the people that came to EVO and supported their anime games. Shout outs to American food. (I managed to survive.) Shout outs to "Not even Marvel?" Overall it was a great experience and was glad to see so many new but not new faces and all that stuff and will definitively keep going back to support my games side tourney or not from now on because it is hella worth it and don't regret it at all, learned the matchup from this year and will be back more ready next year! That's all that comes to my mind for now.

Shoutouts to shtkn, Jyosua, Xie, pochp, Bibiquadium, and anyone else who helped out organize, commentate, stream, and otherwise help out the tournaments. You guys put in a lot of effort and even though the tourney area was kind of a clusterfuck this year you guys made it all work out. Shoutouts to everyone who came out to support the side tourneys. I heard almost 100 people signed up for BB, even though a lot of them didn't show up. Shoutouts/GGs to Sukurabu, Jyosua, JaysonD, Taylor, TheBeautifulDude, pochp, Colpevole, Grover, the other Yu player at the Atlus booth, that one Yukiko player at the Atlus booth who bodied everyone(choseninja?), that one other Chie player at the Atlus booth, brkrdave, raptor, Schneider-X, iw2ma, Deathscythe, ehaungsan (your Ky really inspired me to get better at GG), and anyone else I might have played over the weekend, sorry if I left you out or forgot your name. Being a local I don't have the opportunity to fight and meet such awesome players!! It was very nice meeting players like Xie, Nemesis, StayFree, brkrdave, Zeromus_X, LordPangTong (sorry if I get any of your names wrong), and all the other people I met! I'd especially like to thank those who ran, organized, streamed, managed, and etc. the tournament. Running that tournament in that hot and cramped place made me really respect your guys' work. shtkn Posted July 17, 2013 Author Posted July 17, 2013 i'm not much for shoutouts, but i'll just say thank you to everyone for showing support for your games, and EXTRA special thanks to everyone who helped run the tournament or brought equipment or antyhing else to help me not go insane from stress. i'm pretty sure this is the least amount of games i've played at an evo ever to future evo side tournament organizers i reocmmend getting the following equipment: *whiteboards + stands or hangers per pool to write down who's on deck for matches as well as what pool. too many people didn't realize what pool they are in until they either we try to call them (time consuming) or get dq'ed *call/text everyone in a pool 15 min before a pool starts so they start heading down immediately *a printer so it's easier to get papers to everyone and to cut down on handwriting errors *megaphone is also useful so you don't lose your voice, but don't use this too much or else everyone's brains automatically filter out the megaphone note: future evo side tournament organizers include myself! i'm not saying i'm NOT going to run them again, but i'm not saying that i will either! /mystery

Shoutouts to Hellsap for the many great casual matches, while everyone else was off caring about Marvel for some reason. Shoutouts to AKA, Ludwig Van, Zer0kage, and DaiAndOh for being cool peeps. Shoutouts to the small army of Naotos that were wandering around. Shoutouts to Adelheid, DaiAndOh, and Amadeous for showing up at the GG station as my ride was leaving. (We'll play some other time. (too many to name, so much talking and trolling being had) Shoutouts to Stunedge for styling on me match in 8 am P4U pools, and not buying me drinks like he said he would. Shoutouts to the Atlus booth where i wasted a lot of time on KoF and P4U. Also giving sticks away and giving me a sweet KoF OST. Shoutouts to making it out of Marvel pools. Anime games make you good at America's best game? WHY AREN'T THE JAPS SO MUCH BETTER? Shoutouts to the Buffet of Buffets and me eating until i hating myself, meaning my goal was fulfilled. Also for the waitress telling me to steal the glass, and i did. Shoutouts to me NOT making it to the anime suite even after a bunch of dudes tried to get me to go, i was too fat to want to game..... sorry guys. (Ludwig VAN, Phor, etc) I'm ass at Akihiko The Game anyway. Shoutouts to the Chaos Code casuals on finals day. Whoever brought it and whoever let me use that stick for like hours.
