I thought it was her IK for a moment, but saw the meter only drop 50 so I guess they didn't want people to see that specific awakening super.

Since they didn't provide any information on Adachi, chances are he's just a pre-order/console exclusive character. Can only hope for more info the closer it gets to August.

I'm liking what I see from her, they only showed her defensive/zoning tools, I want to know what else she can do on the offense hope they upload some more vids

What was the DLC popping up at the end referring to? Does it say that Rise is a DLC character?

No. First-print copies of P4U2 in Japan will contain DLC which consists of an extra story scenario set after the events of the game.

Figured out something her analyze does

When analyzed, the disc projectile tracks and hits multiple time (2:06 in the video)

She looks like she has very good rushdown opportunities behind her zoning tools.

Rise's looking pretty sharp (I'm so excited, aaahhhhh). She can really fill the screen with a crazy amount of stuff. And the barrier looking move is... Odd. I wonder what kind of properties it has.

I was thinking it might be Makarakarn, but projectiles go through the shield as well as throws. So, perhaps that shield move is Tetrakarn and it reflects or does something to normal melee attacks.

I don't think it's for those either since during a later clip a Rise punches the one with the shield and the health still goes down. Maybe it just does something mundane like prevent chip damage? Or perhaps she can bounce off her musical notes off of it?

If you're talking about this she actually uses a projectile special, it's not a punch.

Here's something I can't seem to explain. They both have the mirrors up, but the Rise on the right loses SP suddenly. If the mirror makes it so the opponent loses SP, it doesn't work all the time, not from projectiles at least.

Ah, I had it wrong then.

Hmm, maybe the SP goes down since while the shield doesn't prevent damage, it helps to lessen it? Maybe it's like Rakukaja and SP is drained to activate the damage reduction? The P1 Shadow Rise grabbed the P2 Rise and only dealt 600 damage. That strikes me as a little too low damage for a throw so maybe that's the shield's effect? Funny enough, activating it gives Rise the Orgia Meter above her SP gauge along with the Orbital Satellites. This is looking more and more like Kokonoe (though not necessarily Brokenoe).

I don't really have theories on this whole shield thing, but don't forget: shadow characters deal less damage than normal characters.

That's true, though some characters make me forget that little detail (hello Shadow Misturu 100% combo). Well, I'm fresh out of ideas about what that shield is for then. Perhaps the clue is in the little meter she gets when activating it? I never saw it go down during after the activation so maybe it wasn't used properly?

Shadows do 20% less, so if the shield doesn't cut down any damage, Rise's throw would do 750 damage normally. That's on the fairly low side - Yosuke and Akihiko's hover around there, but Yosuke's inflicts Poison and Aki can followup from his. Slabs also does about the same, so I guess it's not impossible.

I watched the video, and it definitely seems like Rise's throw inflicts Charm, which would explain the SP drop.

So. I go on to Play-Asia.com and on the main site I see a huge picture (that looks amazing) of Persona 4 Ultimax: Ultra Suplex Hold or something like that, and the release date for one of the PS3 verisons is Aug 28, 2014. The other PS3 and Xbox release date is Q4, 2014. Don't know if I'm late or anything, but what does Q4 mean btw?

It doesn't increase damage, I checked by comparing her pre-shield laser with after shield and they're the same damage. It doesn't drain the users SP either, since there are times when both Rise have it up and nothing happens to their SP. I don't know if her throw straight up destroys SP (I would need her to do a throw without the shield on to confirm). Also, there's some kind of scan-like thing on the Rise that loses her SP, so maybe it has something to do with that.

Either way, I suppose it'll be difficult to figure out what it does, if it hasn't been triggered at all. On a related note, her awakening super, the oki one, gives her another meter.

Quarter 4 is anywhere from October 1st to December 31st.

Golden Arena Gameplay with Yukiko.

Golden Elizabeth please. This is GG's Survival Mode all over again!

That's the dream Elizabeth, where she has over 100k (probably closer to 200k) health, and heals a portion of that health while in a combo, and still having access to diarahan, and almost one shots with a Zio. Not looking forward to that!

You can very clearly see the hearts floating off Rise after the throw as well as the pulsing SP bar indiciative of the status effect - Rise's throw inflicts Charm.

Sweet Captain Crunch, that shit is scary. Very, very scary. Well they did it, they created a boss character that takes Score Attack Elizabeth and makes her look like a gnat. This is that Death Bringer fight all over again. Added level of scary? You can't seem to Instant Kill during Golden Arena mode. When ATLUS wants you to work for your satisfaction, they go and make stuff like this.

Having said that though, I really like the idea behind Golden Arena mode. It brings a more RPG like feel to the game and feels more in place here than it does in a purely fighting game series (though I do like Abyss mode from BB anyway for dicking around). And hey, this mode is probably going to be the only way for me to have my not-FML tier Elizabeth. It's nice to know that if the game developers are not going to balance the character too make them more viable, I at least have the option of doing it myself.

In golden arena, each of Yukiko's hits inflicted Rage. Does that mean you can more or less change your character's weapon which gives bonus stats or status effect?

Definitely getting the RPG vibes, it's pretty much BB abyss mode with even more depths. I can see myself playing through it a lot!

I think it might be just one of Yukiko's abilities. Some one should check on that.

And Orpheus Telos, that Golden Elizabeth. She practically ate two supers like cookies.

Pretty sure it's an unlock-able skill from the mode. If normal Yukiko were to have a random rage effect from her attacks, she'd be kind of broken. lol

I wonder what would happen if you used Naoto or Lizzie's own Instant Kill supers Hamaon, Mudoon, Mahamaon and Mamudoon? Of course, that assumes you can even HIT Golden Lizzie with the latter two and if they would even do anything (Mahamaon/Mamudoon are instant death because they deal 25K+ damage which Golden Lizzie exceeds by a huge margin).
