I hope you can at least TK it. From a gameplay perspective I see some uses to this super like corner carrying or something, but visually? This is more underwhelming than Dragon Install (And everything about it)

Eh, I think it looks okay for an Aigis super. Her other two are tame in comparison to the rest of the cast as well. Won't be surprised if they all get ignored for Megido Fire loops again, though.

Besides the addition of being able to guard cancel with evasive action, I don't think so. Not 100% sure though.

Can someone explain to me the benefit of region-locking a game?

Does it save them money? Otherwise, I don't see the point.

They didn't want JP players to get the cheaper US copy. That and spoilers

I think part of it, at least for P4U, was that both versions of the game were the same. They both had English and Japanese text iirc.

Yeah, the two versions were the same and they wanted the game to sell well in Japan. That's why it was locked.

Also, on that subject, Atlus USA uploaded an english teaser for P4U2.

I knew they would take out Suplexes and Ultras from the title.

Slated for Fall 2014, I wonder if they will region lock again.

The sad thing is, that had ASW/ATLUS not screwed up so bad with handling the EU version, nobody would even raise a fuss over the region lock of the game. I mean, outside of that, P4A was probably the least amount of time I've had to wait for a localized version of a game (it was, IIRC, a mere week after the JPN version). I dunno if the region lock will make its dreaded return for P4U2, but an ATLUS representative did go out of his way to claim that region locking is NOT a new trend that they are adopting. Of course, this could easily change and the claim could have simply been damage control so take that with a grain of salt.

Heh, well the kept the Ultimax anyway. It rolls off better than say Persona 4 Arena 2 anyway so not too bad. Fall release is not too bad though.

Looks like the localized name will be Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. A fall release date is disappointing but hopefully they're aiming for early September.

Well ASW does need to let BBCP run its course in the West since we're only now getting it in March. Plus Fall is right before the Christmas/Winter season, where everyone goes nuts over buying AAA titles so it's a pretty sound decision.

I agree, shame that it happened to Europe.

Also, I just noticed that the north american version will also be released on Xbox. Kinda cool.

A lot of the AAA titles you are referring to start coming out as early as late September so I don't really feel it's a good idea really. Releasing in the summer, when usually nothing is coming out, would've been better if AAA titles had an effect on the game's sales. Personally, I don't think it does. Also, pretty sure this is Atlus' call and I don't think the release date has much to do with the timing of the release dates of other games. Considering that the 360 version only appeared in the US trailer, there's a chance they're taking extra time to port it to the 360 just for the US. Have to wait and see I guess.

Yeah, just saw the Eng. Trailer and surprised there will/might be a 360 port in the US (of course though there's unless an official confirmation for that [update: Never mind, it looks like Atlus USA is localizing/annoucing the new persona stuff]), hinted at the end of the trailer (hope for EU/PAL people if they'll get the same if they don't take a long time with their release, course it might be much later.), although fall will take a long while here, its just backlog that I'm on now.

I'm incredibly happy that there's going to be a 360 release. Can't wait to double dip and buy the game for both consoles again, lol. With that being said, I hope there's no region lock considering the fact that the releases are at least 2 months apart (Fall begins in Sept anyway).

Anyone catch the "P1 Grand Prix's Final Chapter" part in that trailer? Could that mean this is the last one?

Well hey, looks like I won't need to worry about missing out either way lol

Still getting PS3 because I already have it. Lol

Besides, at least we got persona 5 and Q too

Yeah, same thing in the original trailer. It will probably be the last one, at least involving the P3/P4 storyline.

As much as I was bummed over the lack of Junpei's voice. I understand why the game plays as jpananese...aside the small disclaimer lol

As long as he's still voiced by Vic Mignona, I'll be happy.

I'm guessing they're planning on showing a full trailer at E3 (with actual voices and all). Same for Persona Q, Dancing all night and maybe Persona 5.

Hopefully. And agreed. Vic needs more love. Lol

No, he doesn't. He's overrated as hell.

Anyway, not too surprised by the Fall release. Depending on the actual dates, a region lock would probably be more frustrating than last time (well, discounting that those who tried to import the first one were chumps), but at least it'll be a couple months at most, unlike CP.
