Also I was thinking that it really is played from Sol's/Sin's POV but if it really is that's kind of disappointing... so basically all other characters are hunting them for the money/other reasons like it was in the 1st GG tournament?

And the last thing I wanted to say is that Millia's design is quite risque this time... after all these years we were getting to look only at her (beautiful) legs and now... what? A sideboob?

If you ask me this looks like it's settled BEFORE overture.

Sin and Sol traveling togheter happened before overture, since in gg2 ending Sin decided to remain in Illirya, at his father side.

Of course, it's just speculation, and since it's a pachislot it will be just a filler.

Overture is in 2186, so yes, Dizzy would be 8.

Since it says Sin is 6 (he was 5 in Overture) this game may also take place in 2187.

So okay Sin is officially 5 years old in Overture? Makes no sense. Ky's short story said that his relationship with Dizzy began two years after he met her:

The meeting between this girl and the former commander of the anti-Gear army [seikishidan] (Sacred Order of Holy Knights), Ky Kiske, happened two years ago. For Ky, who had fought countless battles on the front lines against Gears, meeting this kind-hearted half-Gear who despised destruction and slaughter was refreshing yet mysterious.

So it would have been two years after GGX, meaning Dizzy is 5 when she gave birth to Sin putting him at most 3 years old in Overture. Arc Sys check your math :/

Sin's age is actually unspecified, isn't it? He was six months old when Ky placed him in Sol's care.

So, let's see. 2181 is when Ky met Dizzy.

Two years later (2183), Sin is 6 months old. Meaning he had to have been born on May 31, 2183.

In 2186, if it takes place after May 31, he'd be 3 in GG2.

So, yeah, for him to be 6 in Vastedge... it would have to be set in like, 2189.

Keep in mind that we don't know Xrd is set in 2187. All we know is that's when Sol designed his new sword.

That's the thing causing confusion, apparently on the website it says Sin is 6 in Vastedge, but as your math shows, that's not possible if it takes place between 2185 and 2186/7.

Something I would like to point out. Ky's weapon is a rifle, Dizzy is released from her seal after Valentine went down. Furaiken was used for that seal. The Furaiken could have been a toll to free Dizzy but the core essence was preserved and is installed in Magnolia which is in the making during this period. He does not need an actual weapon since he is not part of the big picture in Vastedge :v

It actually translates to Sin being slated as 6. Does that mean being subjected to changes? Or ArcSys themselves have no confirmation of when Vastedge happened. (Maybe they are still debating? )

Zappa's new outfit is gdlk. I hope he keeps it in Xrd, looks like something straight out of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. And thats never a bad thing imo

Perhaps Xrd and Vastedge is set after a longer time. Just because Sol's sword has a patent doesn't mean that's the year they are on?

My assumption is that it's just a gun-shaped magical focus, like how fuuraiken/fuuenken are sword-shaped magical foci.

I mean in dialogues and story, not in gameplay. I always prefer 2D in facial expressions than 3D models.
