See, thing is, while May and Bridget don't seem to age as time marches on, then you have characters like Baiken who seem like they existed further and further back in the timeline (back when before Japan was destroyed...which might be as early as 2073 which means Baiken is over 100 years old...god I don't wanna think about it, especially in consideration to Naruto's 'age sealing' methods).

Honestly, for now, all I can say is, I generally don't like relying on little unstable internet factoids like this, and Japan is just...wow, yeah I got no clue.

"Around Six" could be 5 or 4 years old for Sin for all we know.

That, and there is no calculated standard for Gear age, either, just an estimate based on Dizzy from GGX.

Don't get me started on the mystery that is Raven or Age-Reversing "That Man".

Baiken in the trailers seeing her home being destroyed doesn't mean she's old, like Chinatowns it's very logical that Japanese communities outside Japan exist.

But I do agree Sin being six is kinda problematic because he's at most 3 in Overture but until I see the actual date of GGVXT I'll leave it at that.

I have been part of the fandom for like five years and read every GG thread there is and I honestly never seen anyone claiming GG is "better written."

I think the general consensus, at least amongst GG fans, is that GG's setting is just cooler than BB's. Cooler characters, cooler concepts. However, I don't think there's any question that GG's storyline is an inconsistent, poorly planned mess compared to BB's.

Mori has really put a great deal of effort into crafting the storyline of BB into a cohesive whole, and what is probably the most sophisticated fighting game storyline ever, from seeding future playable characters in prequels to incorporating alternate endings into legitimate canon.

Ishiwatari just hasn't put the same level of thought and planning into GG. The storyline is certainly lurching toward something, but plot elements are introduced and dropped from game to game, and of course the original entry had a bad case of international martial arts tournament (twist ending notwithstanding).

My sincere hope is that, going forward, Ishiwatari takes a page from Mori's book and starts honing his storytelling. If Sign is intended to be an omen, acting as a sort of prelude to a new story arc, my desire is that Ishiwatari intends to plot things out with the sort of commitment and attention to detail that Mori has shown with BB.

It's not the game's end, they are displaying how the premium bonus would be like. That final bit is Ky telling sealed Dizzy that they will see each other again.

Premium bonus could be a bonus stage where you play as Ky and attempt to unseal Dizzy.
