I don't use taunts cause Bang has the longest taunt in the game

Wasn't it Nu?

Glad that both Makoto and Bullet have a very short taunt, not that I'd use them unless both my opponent and I suddenly feel the urge to screw around.

You're think it would be Nu/Lambda, but I actually took it to the lab once and found of that bangs is just slightly longer

Quick question for the pad users. When I played GG before BB came out, I was solely on a pad. That was the ps2, so the shoulder buttons are very shallow and have quick action. I'm seeing you guys choosing to use the trigger style R2/L2 buttons which have a deeper action for things like RCs and things that you need instantly and at a precise timing while leaving your L1/R1 buttons (the shallow ones) unbound. Is there a reason for this? It may be me, but the trigger buttons on the DS3 are the only things I dislike about the controller vs the DS2.

I think its mostly a comfort thing for some people. I honestly feel really awkward to have my hands at the top of the controller like that. Before I got CP though, I played Vita extend, and all I had to do for RC's was flick the right thumbstick, and now I use a 6 button pad, so I can't give a real good reason.

I have barrier/throw tech mapped to R1 precisely because the action is faster. It takes longer to press R2 in and I don't really know what level of depression activates the input.

I used to have it on R2, but it was always sooo slow and awkward using my middle finger to tech throws.

dustloop has been rather tense lately.

Hmm. You're right. The past two posts I've made in here have been very belligerent. I'll tone it down.

Wow thanks! I totally forgot about this at the time of posting!... How pathetic do you have to be to go to this video as support? P4U EVO? Seriously? Would you mind posting another anime 5v5? Or is this as good as it gets for America? lol. (I was super hype watching this at the time, so fuck you for posting it as a poor example, asshat.)

Oh, and at no point did I say US players weren't good. You're like talking to a retarded patriot. 'You dun love everything about Amer'ka? Fuckin' commie!' Apparently discussions are too personal for you. =/

Rather than come off as a brash and insulting again (a.k.a. fighting fire with fire), I'll be more clear.

It's mind-boggling that you would say something as clueless as "Using events at the biggest tournament in the world is poor evidence of how good a player is". I'm not sure what kind of rebuttal I could give that would even match how obtuse a comment that is. It's "Pathetic?" If you can give examples of a better stage than EVO for the US to show they're capable of matching Japan, then I'm sure people would be willing to look around for evidence. Also feel free to point out how it's a 'poor example'. Pain and Colpevole weren't exactly 'free' in their matches, either.

Not saying it directly doesn't mean you aren't saying it. "We aren't on Japan's level." "The best American players wouldn't have made Top 8 if Japan was 'really trying'." "Put Japan vs Anyone in a 5v5 and they'd win, and the video evidence where they lost doesn't count."

If you were looking to make the point that "Japan has a better scene because of logistics", then you're beating a dead horse. If you're saying "The US is shit-tier in anime", it's debatable, because strong JP players still have to work for their wins when they're over here.

I could very easily say the same to you, as far as personal discussions go. People who post in a fashion that's completely condescending rarely seem to recognize it as such, but I'm pretty certain you started off patronizing and flinging shit first.

That was some of the funniest commentary I've ever heard. Who the hell were those two guys? Were they high?

I want more.

One of the commentators was DC, a Florida player who sometimes posts here on DL. Not sure on the other.

When lag plays favorites.

I agree so much. This kills me inside, especially if I'm obviously about to lose, but I finally get that combo that can change the round-*LAG* nooooo.

And also, when the moment I lose a match, after constantly winning, a new player is suddenly in the room and I have to wait my turn.

OR (but less important)

It's just a group of me and my friends, playing, and we're not that good. Then some expert comes in the room and bodies all of us while we can't do anything about it but kick him, which is kind of harsh.

Posted

This is why I usually pass after I've gone through a room once. I doubt everyone wants to fight me/watch me fight forever. That said, I am sure there are people who were itching for a rematch..only to find that they have to wait a little longer. I guess you can't please everyone.

Posted

This is why I like the P4U lobby system. I usually set the max game limit to 3 or 5 games, so everyone gets a turn to play against each other.

^they implemented this option in CP as well.

There's also the "everyone fight room", it just doesn't "work" with an odd number of players

Not to ignore the conversation at hand, but...

Is Stylish too easy of an answer? Man, I hate figuring out somebody that I really respect for being so good is just using Stylish halfway through the match. Hopes get built up, and taken back down.

Actually, I find it's even better with an odd number of people, cause there's always someone switching out, so no one always plays the same person

Mics.

Microphones I agree are very annoying. I like to just sit down play and listen to the background music and sounds and not people giggling or shouting.

Microphones are fine if there's more than one person talking. Loads of people like chatting with their friends while they fight them, myself included.

No, I think stylish is the worst thing in the world, especially in ranked, it just feels like a wate of time.

Not like I lose to them or anything, no siree!

So what I'm guessing here is that ARC didn't put a mute option in CP

The fact that I'm so used to playing offline at my local scene that every time I want play with you cool people on DL, I can't handle Netplay to save my life.

Because by all rational logic, this should be handled by the platform, not the game, but PSN is TOTALLY as good as XBL. /eyeroll.

Don't start this crap again.

EDIT: Pet Peeve: Not making a Reversal easily inputable on wake-up. My only move that will allow me to get out of pressure should not require me to stop blocking and do a half circle. It's infuriating to get either a) nothing, or b) a j.C to come out instead of the 632146C I was going for.
