someonewhodied Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 you can still do training while waiting for a ranked match. No one does ranked though.
Errol Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Yeah I miss the training mode thing. I'd just enter training mode while waiting to see if the person I invited entered.. Now you just have to sit there and wait.
Dazardz Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 People mashing after Nu's 5D. If I ever 66 Act Parser after it, I'm walking right into a 5C.
Ashura San Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I have a new one. People that obviously ragequit and then, when called out on it, say that their connection actually dropped. Your connection dropped as I ended the match with GENESIS! EMERALD! TAGER! BUSTER!? Sure, sure. Not too fast there, the past 3 months, my internet router was being crappy and cutting off when people in the house would stream music/videos and what not. and it was random. when that happens, the router cuts off leaving everyone wondering why there was no internet. Now, this rarely happened to me when playing match ups online....but when it did....oh god..i'd play a game(mind you I do kinda suck)....and then a game later when re-matching after getting face rolled by someone, I would here my dad upstairs streaming videos....and me in the middle of a game....loosing...again....and guess what, right when my opponent k.o'd me, the game froze, and then I knew, I stared at the box, and sure enough, the flipping router was out. I was soooooo mad because I just knew my opponent thought I raged quit. when the router came back, I tried playing another game(same room, different person)....and guess what, the router went out again. I just gave up and turned in for the rest of the day. And I have almost no problems getting my butt handed to me in a game(dont get me wrong, I do try, I just fail at finishing combos. @_@). It depended on how my opponent fights(like I will only get discouraged if my opponent is full blow rush downing me knowing I have almost zero skill compared to them, giving me no space to breath.. so i'm pretty much just getting air juggled by 20 hit combos for every game..tech, then get juggled again until I die) other than that, I have no problems with loosing. I once sat in a P4 lobby...and had 5 wins.....and 22 looses by the time I was done. But like I said, I do try. Its just that when I play against players, its either against noobs, or against tourney material players....there is no in between..and i'm in between. Got a new router a few days ago, and i'v had no problems ever since...thank god.
Ashura San Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 When people have a burst and they don't use it when they need to. You're basically telling me you don't give a shit about the match lol. I'm not use to bursting, and never have been. I usually only remember about bursts, when I see another player use burst, or remember at the last round, but then its usually a bad burst so I end up getting punished. xD
Raziul Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I've come to the conclusion that this game has too many moves with Invincibility frames. Should tone that shit down and make it more rare. Not make it completely abusable.

Not make it completely abusable. What would "this game" be? Kappa. Pretty sure it's about all online fighting games.
mAceOfHearts Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Which of the I. Frame moves are abusable? Most of them are punishable as all hell.
Aloci Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 So I decided to take CP online last night. I had been a bit learly since my connection is wireless 4G I was pleasently surprised by the experience though; Managed to have a 2 Bar connection. None of the lag I had was super awful, except when people skipped the opening. For the love of good. Please don't skip the opening. So many eaten inputs.
Sadeyo Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I'm currently fighting JP/KR as of now in the last 4 months with 2's and 3's. What I did learn is that none of the players don't have any pride and run after one match win or lose, most of the time lose. Kudos to most of America with better competition. Another bad games to all JP/KR for judging you on your color before the match in a lobby or private room. They'll be a pink and I'm rocking blue because I'm playing a new character and for god knows how long it took me to get back to green again (former yellow). I would have a 15 win streak and color won't change but the whole rainbow is defeated behind me, I walk off to another cab to challenge a red only for them to give tissue face and 'x' mark, now imagine repeating this for days on end. Prove your worth and starting from scratch while everyone runs away after one fight or refuse to fight you in the first place because of your color. Connection is solid and I'm glad there's some players that will make an exception but the odds are still against you. Screw you you arrogant bastards! I'll just keep bodying you folks left and right and for as long as it takes exposing how free you color reliant bastards are! Hopefully when I'm back in the states you guys will be cool.
mAceOfHearts Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I have literally the exact same issue. I experimented a bit with Amane, Hazama and Valkenhayn, (whom I used to sub in Extend) which caused me to go from Yellow to Blue. Then I went back to using Azrael and it feels like it takes ages to rank back up again. Especially annoying since I constantly have player matches with a Pink (Reyn) and we seem to be pretty even. Now combine that with the fact that I have a 0 bar connection to 99% of players, which means that even finding a match is a trial.
Speakeasy Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 - When I'm in a lobby and I see a match going on. So I stand in front of the cab and wait. And wait. And when the match is over, wait and see if the loser wants to get back on and have a rematch. And they walk away, so I figure it's my turn to get on and do so. And then the other person sits there for 30 seconds before leaving. Lobby may be adorable as hell, but it's really starting to get on my nerves. - When I search for a ranked match and everybody is 0-bar. - When lag turns my 236236D into 6D.
ReynTime180 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Now combine that with the fact that I have a 0 bar connection to 99% of players, which means that even finding a match is a trial. I'll always love you <3
mAceOfHearts Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I'll always love you <3 Oh you. Less than three.
D.R.F. Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 My color, because it took me a long time to learn and I always had to fighting either laggy whores or lose closely to real good people because I cannot clinch. Also, motherfuck rollers, love catching them in their vulnerable frames the bitches Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
Dark Ranger88 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Be orange. Find an orange I can beat -> They run after one or two matches Find an orange I can't beat -> Keep fighting and they rank up to pink -> Figure out how to fight better against them and win some -> *It's too late they're pink*
NecroTheReaper Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I dunno if this is what he was doin, but it felt like this guy equated beating me to getting to take my station. I go back and he uses the X emoticon and just sits there. I finally just left, but felt kinda dickish even if thats not what he was doin.
susano Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 People who whine about other people not playing them. Seriously, no one is obligated to fight you. I play based on connections.
Elochai Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 People who whine about other people not playing them. Seriously, no one is obligated to fight you. I play based on connections. Jokes on you, 90% of BBCP matches don't even have noticeable lag. I think a majority of people don't care though, which is why east coast people play west coast people, and also why people use wifi when they're next to their router (ethernet cords are overrated).
susano Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I get random slowdowns in the middle of matches that screw me over. But hold on its my connection, right?
Aloci Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I have a 2bar connection when I play and I rarely see any lag. Though it usually feels worse when people skip the intro. (4G wireless Verizon router ;3;)
susano Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I usually run a 3/4 with most people but sometimes, that lag just credps in.
Angry Guy of DE Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 People mashing 2A after moves that are at least -4 on block but input delay somehow makes my 2A getting CH'd. All of the tables were flipped against Kokonoe.
Scarlet Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Incoming text wall My absolute biggest Pet Peeve right now is the fact that 95% of people who are Pro/SSSS-Rank/has-over-9000-player-match players flooding into the lobby's aimed at beginners...its bad enough that i avoid online play at all cost until i feel that i am ready to go online and get some experience only because 99% of thoes i fight are almost always more skilled than the average player. when i do make my own room (targeted at newbies) it always either end with a full room of pro players(excluding me so i'm busy getting face rolled), or a full room with one or two pros taking turns completely face rolling everyone else..thats not fun at all, kicking them doesn't really work since another equally skilled player will take their place....or they will keep coming back no mater how many times i kick them. And when i email them about why they are there since my room name said beginner/intermediate only 99.9% of the responses are either "Oh sorry i don't read room names" or "but i'm not pro" the other .1% are the ones who say "So?" or "this is the nature of online play...get over it" and wonder why there's no one to play with online, especially when it comes to fresh faces. My Next one is about these highly skilled players(or highly skilled a** hats) who constantly REMAKE their accounts to get out of being avoided by lower skill/newbie players, just so they can have more people to play against, there is nothing i hate more than joining a room thinking "wow i hope the match dosen't end in 10sec this time since this isnt an A+rank/lvl78 players here) i check their gamer tag it says.....20 matches....ok cool.....F-rank/level11...okay..*joins room, gets face rolled* checks gamer tag again......20 matches..19Wins..1Lose.... ....*proceeds to block player while watching other poor unsuspecting newbies get face rolled by these people left and right....* I Don't understand..why do people do this? why is it so hard to play like an honest player? this is why i avoid net play its rare that i every find people to play against that wont 20 hit string combo me every time.and what makes it worse is that it seems like people tend to also judge by your win lose ratio since i tend to notice that a lot of people love playing against those they know for sure they can probably win against since the win/lose gap is so large..some even have the nerve to add me to friends list after winning over 10 games against me knowing i didn't have a chance i would expect them to at least give me some tips but no its *add to FL,log off for a while, logs back on,attempts to get me to join in a player match with them immediately* , i really haven't improved at these games too much since getting face rolled only teaches me block the whole match. Usually i don't mind losing because well....i already see it coming i just play to learn how to deal with my opponent's attacks, but when i want to actually fight someone around my skill level its impossible even if when i make a room i try to be as specific as possible when it comes to battle conditions..nothing works.Even the Beginner Lobby is flooded with insanely high skilled players in CP........so now i'm back again spending 90% of my time practicing on a still target in training mode...or vs mode. (hell i spent about 2 1/2 hours in a full room of 40+ players getting face rolled, but it was fun and cool to watch the others play against each other with their immense amount of skill, i even started taking notes) End pet peeve Rant
susano Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I usually pick a character I'm not good with against beginners.
