If most of these changes stay, I may as well drop BB entirely and go to P4A(U) full time. Some of the changes make no sense. In a balance, you're supposed to nerf the characters that need it (Hazama, Litchi. any other top tier) and the buff the ones that need it (Carl, Tsubaki, Makoto). I know anime games aren't really known for their places and places an emphasis on tiers, but this isn't Marvel. Marvel is supposed to be a broken mess. BlazBlue, I saw differently, in that every character CAN be successful if you know how to use them, no matter their tier. But now it's apparent that with this game, tier whoring in acceptable. I'm about to be done.

How the hell can anyone that plays Carl think he needs to be buffed? He's never been a bad, let alone average, character.

where did you hear that?

This is weird I could have sworn I saw that on the Izayoi threads, but on second inspection it's gone. I'll change it.

I'm not too happy about the 6D thing. I guess it's more of an ender now, but it's still pretty stupid.

Would love to hear some more stuff about Terumi though.

Is it distortion cancelable?

I think the changes are good. They're just obviously incomplete, either in what we know or what's been done yet. They're clearly still working on a lot of stuff. Obviously Mu won't be left like that lol.

They're heading in a good path. As for raid OD, I'm cautiously optimistic and time will tell I suppose. Being able to be like "fuck your blockstring, FURINKAZAN!" has a certain appeal to it I admit. (And they're buffing frkz, Myoro forgot Bang entirely in his summary lol)

Whoops, would you care to add a summary?

I know right? But the guy got plenty of flak about it already a few pages back so just let it rest. We all like to see characters we like get better regardless of whether they need them or not.

Sure. So from what we know so far for Bang, command grab does a bit more damage and has a faster animation. Having seals in frkz gives you projectile invuln dashes and allows you to block as well as gives you +20% damage. A nail combos seem removed sadly.

Bullet seems hella strong now? Dunno, hopefully this means you can't play her by smashing your dick on the controller anymore.

I can still try...

You'll just have to smash it into your controller skillfully like the rest of us!  :eng101:

Not like you could do that before, either.

So to put things into words, OD raid is very flawed.

With the addition of it, any move with large start-up or with large recovery but can't be canceled, no matter how safe or plus it would be in a blockstring normally, will be countered for large unburstable damage.

An incredible defensive tool like this is paramount to hijacking a school-bus and crashing it into the game's meta.

Now if you could barrier cancel at any time during your opponent's OD raid, that would be slightly more balanced. It would offer the opponent an escape from apocalyptic rape during their own pressure, as well as refute the need for a DP or Rapid cancel on long recovery moves. I think this is just about the only way to begin to make something like this balanced.

(canceling into a DP or doing a rapid wouldn't even be able to fully deter OD raid usage, as it could be used during the start up of one of your moves and DPing or Rapiding would be rendered impossible.)

I'm really liking those changes on Bullet, and here I was starting to play her less in favor of Makoto because I was starting to feel that she was a little too braindead.

That being said, I'm also really happy to see that Makoto may FINALLY getting buffs.

Any loss of mix-up options is bad imo. That was prob his best overhead since sledge follow-up has no real gain outside the corner and you might as well be directing flight traffic with 6C so that's not hitting. It's also often used in his midscreen magnetized combos.

The rest I agree with, though I also heard his AC properties changed again which could change a lot.

6B should probably be a buff, 90% of the time it only used in combos anyways and it supposed to be faster now, which should mean more combo potential.

It's going to make the game extremely defensive and footsies based. That or players will find ways around it with jump canceling stuff, but it'll still be a huge thing to watch out for.

But then why wouldn't I just play UNiB? If they're tryin to change the direction of the game, they better stop, otherwise there is literally no reason for anyone to play this game because its BB.

Where are these Makoto buffs you speak of? Most of the stuff looks like nerfs to me.

Now that I think about it, this gcOD should be a huge buff to zoners. It nukes pressure, but if you can apply pressure from full screen, then you have a lot less to worry about. At the same time, when YOU get in pressure, you can still gcOD yourself to get them off you and reset positions.

By the same token there's OD>Messenga and the like. While safer, zoners are no doubt still victims.

Beats taking an OD>GETB to the face.
