Yea, you were a little too hungry for setting discs. I also wouldn't use SG as much against Ky based on the simple face that he has a fast projectile as well as range. Your friend sort of gave you a few of those SG setups though. That IK pose made me lol. Also, when they have burst, try rolling after you launch them or empty jumping into an air block and then air throw them/combo them. Once your opponent gets used to you rolling, they'll try and save their burst and that's when you go through with the combo (This works for me at least). You seem like you're headed in the right direction though. Good games.

Thanks for the comments, I'll keep them in mind. I find straight-up iAD pin usually just gets me thrown on landing, which is why I don't do it very much to get in. Anyway, if you guys are further interested, I've uploaded the OS vids also on my YouTube. More interesting fights since it's actually his main.

No idea.. maybe it has something to do with the hitstun of the previous (level 5 move) delaying the FRC point? Or maybe it's EX Millia or something.

Just so you guys know.. that combo isn't highlighted for the damage it does (though it is pretty good), but the way that S Disc FRC is used. Normally, you can only FRC that move before it hits, so something like what you see in that combo vid would not normally be possible.

So that combo is either using some sort of glitch / "feature" that we don't know about, or if EX Millia has a different FRC on 236S then that could be it as well. I'll test it out tonight if I get the time...

Just thought I should introduce myself. I've been playing Guilty Gear for 2 months and Millia for about a full month now. I switched from Dizzy to Millia because she's just plain better. Dizzy requires too much set up to get her pressure game going, whereas I can get anything started anywhere with Millia. I think my play style with Millia is radically different from a lot of other players I've seen. I use a lot of things other players don't, but I also never use the same oki more than once in a match. I'll have a couple of videos up next week so you guys can give me some tips on what I should practice. -There is one problem that I have though. I like to pressure my opponent the entire game, but sometimes I have trouble doing that when I don't have tension (you'll see what I'm talking about when I post my videos). I also have problems with a couple of matchups, but it seems noone ever answers them in the matchup thread.

If you got a camcorder, use record mode and use that. It's what I'm doing for MIRA.

the wii version indeed has strange FRC behaviors. I don't know if its the same on the PS2 and other versions, but theres this "easy FRC" settings where you can, I think, make the FRC window longer, it's super easy to hit them then.

Mi-ka-do update... Zayasu shows up and well, gets owned. Granted he is fighting Chipp, a tough matchup for Millia, but he doesn't take advantage of his (few) opportunities and fails some basic stuff like 6K hitconfirm. Just seemed like he was out of practice or totally psyched out or something. Zayasu may have been amazing in Slash, but in AC he's just been mediocre in the few vids I've seen.

Also, Kaqn has switched back to Millia. Hopefully we will see him up his game and challenge Woshige for the title of best Millia player.

Koichi is still beasting with I-no like usual (see DF2 quals vids from gamevision ranbat), and Kaqn originally was a Baiken player, then he switched to Millia, then Jam, then Order Sol, then I guess back to Millia again. And best Millia is probably still Woshige (dude beat Ogawa with Millia, too fucking good), but Nakamura is hands down the craziest Millia player right now (and my fave to watch). But then again the game is only a year old, so who knows? Maybe Kaqn will tear everyone up a new asshole at the next SBO ala Shonen, or maybe he will drop Millia again and go back to Jam or something...
