Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold Story Thread (spoilers)

Man, I gotta replay through P4A's story mode again. There are probably so many hints to P4A2's that I didn't catch on the first time through.

Watching through this Shadow Akihiko video, it's almost a certainty in my mind that SHO Minazuki is the one who assumes the guise of the cast's Shadows i.e. the Malevolent Entity. It also reasserts that this "mastermind" is responsible for kidnapping Labrys and throwing her inside of the television and he also calls Labrys his "puppet", just like SHO does in P4A2.

The ME also states "This one's desire to make people suffer was perfectly suited for such a plan" in reference to the person in question's heart; their Persona. It's evident from that phrasing that the ME isn't talking about Akihiko, but talking about someone else. I think that someone else is Sho, perhaps implying that SHO is indeed taking control of Sho in order to facilitate the execution of SHO's plan to assemble an army of powerful Shadows.

Nevermind, the striked out part was referring to Labrys.

I don't think Sho is the main guy behind the plan. I think the only reason Sho is working with the bad guys is to protect someone he cares about...oh god i just realized an insane idea...i think maybe Sho might be an Alternate Version of Yu. When he was Yu, Yu put Namantae into the TV and Nanako woke up. In his grief ME promised him that if finds the suitable vessel for ME. Me will bring back Nanako. The only reason why he is teaming up with ME is to protect Nanko. He wakes up in the current world and is found by the Kijiro group where he is experimented on and the plume of dusk is inserted. Due to this he loves a lot of his memory including his only name but still remembers one memory. The face of a child. After Sho breaks out he finds ME and the two plan to find a suitable vessel for ME. Just a stupid theory of mine.

Finally read the whole thread, but I've got a question: has it been explained or revealed what

Adachi

is trying to do on Tartarus? or what are his motivations?

Not really there is a rumour he might be a anti-hero.I bet he is against ME

All we know is that he's got some business at the tower where Sho is.

I am just curious..Do you think Adachi is on the side of SHO/ME?

IIRC Sho says on story mode that he doesn't even consider the posibility of him and Adachi cooperating

Yeah, that and he apparently knows more about what's going on than the Investigation Team do.

We know for a fact that SHO and Sho are two different being who co-exist within the same body, much like Hazama and Terumi. He's not a copy.

Do we know this for a fact? I don't think there's ever been a confirmation, and Sho vs. SHO's win quote is:

"Don't just come out on your own accord! I've still got more fun to have here!"

I don't see how that quote disproves my point. If anything, it seems like it would support it...?

Doesnt SHO take over Sho at the end of Yu's Arcade just as the credits come in?

But doesn't the quote demonstrate that they could be two distinct physical entities instead of just being part of a singular vessel?

And I'm not sure that's what happens at the end of the arcade mode cliffhanger (which happens for each character with a story and which is what my avatar is based on). Whether it's Sho or SHO, I think the same cutscene happens where Sho's scars glow red.

Eh? How does that quote suggest that? It could easily be interpreted as Sho fighting with SHO over control of their body because he wants to have more fun.

I'm interpreting "come out" very literally as opposed to it being a metaphor for the match-up. My point is that there's no clear indication either way.

Oh, about that dialogue in SHO's arcade mode, it's a secret boss. You need to input a special command in the 8th fight to access it.

Considering it's a secret boss, it may or may not be canon.

.....Okay hold the phone, (and pardon me being redundant in terms of my reaction), but secret boss? ._.

He's trying to prove a point. It doesn't actually exist...I think.

"slams hands down on desk" OBJECTION!!!!. Even if there was a secret boss we would have known about it already..your testimony is faulty...

Hype denied.

There are a alot of secret things in this game to be honest though. I wouldn't be surprised.
