doubletaco Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 I've updated the OP to reflect the new semiweekly format of this event. On Wednesdays the lobby will be Team Hold, while on Saturdays the lobby will be Team Shuffle.

doubletaco Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) We just wrapped up our first Beginner Night: Team Hold Edition and that was some of the most fun I've had with this game. I'm so excited to continue this event! We had a lot of Beginner Night regulars and a few new faces, and I'd love to see even more people come out for it. doubletaco Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 After my results yesterday I've gotta say I'm shocked with how well watching replays worked out. If you're picking up a suit, and have played with it a bit but just aren't feeling like you're playing it right, I can't recommend going and downloading high ranked replays enough. I learned so much about God Gundam and X2 that I would never have even attempted before watching them.

I host the lobby from 9 PM to 12 AM EDT on Wednesdays and Saturdays, barring any prior commitments. All you have to do is send me a messsage on PSN, TWitter, or Skype when we're playing and I'll send you an invite. We've got a pretty decent group of regulars now that are a bit above beginner level, but if you join in on the Skype call everyone is willing to answer questions or give tips if you want them.

akai_GO Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I can't join the Wednesday groups because that is Thurs morning for me, but I'd like to get in on Friday nights and play with some people in the community I'm not sure where I fall on the skill bar compared to the regulars, given how long I've been playing the game, but how recently I moved to online play, but I'm a really easy-going person and just like playing the game with people and getting better.

It's the same closed rule policy as Beginner night but I just wanna pose the minor restriction if actual beginners join, just stop picking your mains for a bit and pick something you're not super accustom to or isn't super top tier so you don't stomp them.
