excelence Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Got time to dl vid... i'll comment a little ... Nice color theme :D .... ok, back to business, thought never had good Dizzy Mirror before Round1 0:36 -> nice air pike counter into air combos Round2 1:10 -> 2p does combos with 2h Round3 2:12 -> throw follow up that didn't connect and makes u lost Oki setup Round4 2:34 -> Ok ... Dizzy's a floater *also taking a note for myself(;-_-)> 2:41 -> always do j.2s>j.h gatling... or not? should taking more notes... but i'm at work now >_>, Ok this Mirror is pretty awkward for me, i thought i need moar fish and Oki setup... and since there is only 1 vid, i think Elf is a better Dizzy Player than you... since he looks always getting the momentum and u tend to missing pressuring chance or making blunder in it ... not saying playing Dizzy offensively is good but the knowledge when to RTSD in this match is very important, since it's very rare Dizzy goes against an opponent that didn't have better normal than she is lol... and i didn't see any back dash on it, maybe u should try to shape up your defensive option more. Well thought i've never goes against Dizzy, but i believe her pressure is not without a hole... the last is patience... final round is pretty whack tl;dr : Be Patience, don't hesitate and RTSD
Grey Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Just watched it briefly but I think you can TK your bubbles more as you do your bubbles quite high up so they are not going to be that effective e.g. the bubbles at 1:48 and 2:45 are likely not going to do anything at those positions. There were also sometimes where you just stood there when you could've sent out a fish or something.
zaeris Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Let see if I can resurrect some interest back in this thread. A vids of me if anyone is bored and wants to see a scrub in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXcUymVXi4Q&feature=PlayList&p=B3EF4D1059C7D2C0&index=2
Grey Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 1:23, the FRC 2H Ice Spike FRC 2H Ice Spike doesn't seem to be worth it to me as the hp barely moved for 50% tension. 3:34 whiffed 2H :[ 3:58 nicely done here Seems to me you can work on some execution as there were a few random normals that I assume are messed up input.
zaeris Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 hahah yeah. Our Australian group has pretty much stop playing GG and phasing it out of tourney. Everyone is busy playing Sf4 or the new shinny Blazblu So yes its rather depressing here regulated to a casual game. My number of practise is equal to number of tourney ran these day which are once every month. Hopefully the american scene can keep GG afloat with more vids. bar's are not wasted because slayer kills you, seize the oppotunity.
excelence Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Wait, you're in Australia? O_o ... maybe i'll try to visit there in 1 or 2 years lol, My Brother said there's quite a bunch of people playing GG at his campus there edit: bar's are not wasted because slayer kills you, seize the oppotunity. yes, this is true >_>
Zekashis Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 K~K fish works really well against Slayer. Try to get more corner pressure on him if you can. Other than that, execute your combos and you're good.
Nehle Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Two new casuals if anyone is interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE6bLUbdX8g&feature=channel_page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COWbMsecR0o&feature=channel_page

Grey Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 KAZUKI 2009/6/4 Takadanobaba Mikado 3on3 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm7252189 Kimio(AB), Jonio(JO), Dora(CH) vs Kazuki(DI), Kawin(PO), 0(OS) The ABA got ticked throw so many times!
Stag.S Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 That's one way of dealing with Aba, using their fear of getting knocked down to do tick throws, but simple mistakes cost you matches against them =/ Ruki's been a lot more impressive lately, a lot of his earlier vids I saw him less solid in his oki and usually totally loss on the defense.
Luv-Sic Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Hope this is the right thread to post this. Does anyone here know how to download the vids from this site: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.geocities.jp/toramusi777/ggxx-combomovie.html Maybe the download link is broken. Trying to get that Accent Core Dizzy combo vid.
Stag.S Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Looks like the link is broken to me, but it's easy to find that combo vid on youtube. You could always rip the video from youtube, though the quality will suffer. Get Wild and Waltz of the Moon are up there at least.
4r5 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 here ya go http://filesmelt.com/downloader/GET_WILD.avi
bucklemyshoe Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 yea, i'm a fan of feather's vids too. You can DL Waltz of the Moon here http://www.geocities.jp/toramusi777/ggxx-combomovie.html
bucklemyshoe Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I think it's a bandwidth issue, if it doesn't become available in the next few days I'll upload it.

Grey Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Nice matches, but the end of the first game against HOS makes me cry for Dizzy inside :[
Stag.S Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I start of well against our local OS most of the time, especially if I come off from playing our ABA, but for some reason I just lose momentum the longer I play him.
Kurokun Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 It's been a while since I've last commented on a vid, lol. http://www.youtube.com/user/RaptorIIC#p/u/1/Qb8E9k3bNeM Stag.S (DI) vs. Recna (AB) 1st Match Round 1 0:29 to 0:31 / Nice air to ground combo here. Round 2 1:07 / Possible opportunity for oki after the 2D KD if you utilized the special cancel for fish summon or bubble. 1:08 to 1:11 / Missed opportunity for a combo to KD after the CH j.H hit. But the 5D afterwards for the dust combo/bubble loop attempt was good though. 1:22 to 1:24 / Nice throw to put AB into the corner here. Why no HP fish for oki though? 1:35 / Possible opportunity for a Ice Spike FRC follow up combo here for the win with DI. 1:50 / Special cancelled Ice Spike after 2D is nice. Round 3 2:00 to 2:04 / Good string/combo here to carry AB to the corner. 2:05 / Slight delay in utilizing fish summon for oki here, probably due to summon recovery period. Possible substitution with homing pike/bubble instead. 2:10 / Nice AT after the tech. 2nd Match Round 1 2:57 / I think you meant to do an IAD j.2S here as part of your mixup for corner oki. 3:02 / Possible Ice Spike FRC follow up combo here for the win OR special cancelled fish summon for oki after the 2D KD instead of after the Ice Spike KD OR short combo to grab OD after either of the low hits connected. From my POV anyway. 3:08 / 2H could've been FRCed for safety here. Round 2 3:39 to 3:40 / Summoning during a block string can be risky due to startup time and range. 3:53 / Possible opportunity for a combo to KD after the f.S hit Round 3 4:13 / Was this supposed to be a IAD j.2S instead of a IAD j.S? 4:33 / Ice Spike could've been FRCed for safety. 3rd Match Round 1 4:50 / Why no H fish to cover your rushdown here? 4:53 / IAD j.2S can be hit out of by some AA attacks, especially if you don't have summon cover. 4:58 / Nice throw to put AB into the corner here. 5:03 / Nice throw mixup here. 5:04 to 5:08 / Good pressure here. 5:09 / Nice gold burst here. 5:12 / Ice Spike could've been FRCed here for safety, especially since it didn't hit. 5:21 / I think you could've gone for a bubble here after the 2D KD for oki. Round 2 5:37 / Bad time to fish summon here during a block string. 5:46 / Why no HP fish here for a corner oki setup? 6:21 / 5D as AA? lol. Round 3 6:51 / Was this supposed to be a IAD j.2S instead of a IAD j.S? 7:05 / Nice throw after the OD usage by AB here. 7:07 to 7:09 / Good bubble oki here, though I think you maybe could've gone straight to Ice Spike here for KD instead of after 5H OR even use Imperial Ray OD for unburstable KD scenario. Some comments: - Needs more FRC stuffs, mostly to cover Ice Spike usage. - 2D special cancel stuff: You land 2D for KD often enough, follow up with a fish summon/bubble so you can go straight into oki instead of using Ice Spike afterwards. - Utilize more stuff for zoning like TK bubbles or scythes when applicable to compliment fish summons/homing pike tactics. Also, utilize 'held' homing pike a bit more to cover other summons you might have out at the same time or to zone and limit opponent's approach. - Oki could be more consisent at times. HP fish is usually the optimal summon choice in the corner, though bite fish stuffs (P/K fish variants) can also work too. Follow through with IAD j.2S stuffs as well cause you missed it a few times when you went for H/L mixups. - Don't IAD j.2S too much as your approach method without summon coverage cause you can get hit out of it by AA attacks. Dash jump>AD is good for movement options as an alternative approach method. That's about it. Aggro Dizzy indeed, lol. I'll probably comment on the other vid later.
woki Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sT6e_PHg7l0 I downloaded this video just because the dizzy player was she (and you can see her in the original Nico video) and the Potemkin player was Kusoru.
Stag.S Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/user/RaptorIIC#p/u/1/dQg9BkssFyA Months later with no practice, I'm still pretty bad. Better vids will be up soon.
