Make sure you're doing 96 for the AD, and IMMEDIATELY after you do j.2s. I kind of cheat sometimes and spam 966, then I drag the stick down to 32 S, and I spam 66 again. Once you get your second airdash after the j.2s the next one should be easily enough to do, it's the second airdash I have trouble with.

This is something you just have to keep practicing at until you can do it just by 'feel' unfortunately. Once you hit the IAD you have to transition to do a j.2S immediately like Stag.S said. The followup AD j.2S isn't too bad since DI is already airborne but it is only possible to do that if you hit the IAD j.2S correctly.

Once you've got the hang of it, you still have to be able to execute it according to the situation. More often than not you'll probably do this via a fish oki for a mixup. I remember practicing the IAD j.2S>AD j.2S by doing IceSpike FRCs first that either were made to whiff or be blocked instead then followup with the IAD j.2S>AD j.2S sequence. I was bored, lol.

Executing the sequence via pad is fun though.

I trust that last comment of yours to be sarcasm? lol if so, then I agree. Thanks for the tips. I plan on getting more of my Dizzy recorded tomorrow. I've only had one night to practice though (worked late a lot) so I won't have improved by much, but I did take everyone's advice to heart. Look out for her this weekend.

Fixed? lol.

I actually use a control pad though. You?

Yup pad warrior over here. I'm looking to invest in a stick soon, but only once I get better at my characters.

Dayum, man! The Millia player kept jumping out of your corner pressure every time. :psyduck: Maybe you should start the oki with IAD 2S stuff in the future against her or try to have a spike ready.

Hey everyone! Good news - I got my signal distribution problem fixed and I can finally capture matches! :yaaay: I don't have anyone to play over the weekend, sadly so I'm just going to capture matches of my Dizzy against Maniac mode CPU characters. I should have them uploaded tommorow, and match vids later this week. I'll keep everyone updated.

posted my 2cents on the Youtube already

Thanks. Keep in mind though I haven't been playing lately and also...that guy well, didn't know what he was doing so it looked worse than usual...:psyduck:

I've beaten them before, but it is rough going, especially against Order Sol. That dude wants nothing if not to rush you down.

i'm talking about mix them up :psyduck: ... u can't mix up an ai, an exact opposite logic when u go against human player :v:

Oh yeah. That's definitely true, but you can bait them somewhat. If you watch one of my vids, you'll see I do a jumping 2S fake after initiating corner oki and fooling the Order Sol into doing a dragonpunch.

But, yeah human opponents are the best.

I'm more annoyed with the retarded slashback that the AI tends to employ. You see it spam SB, and it works. I've seen it SB most of Gamma Ray before. Also, it'd SB 5k, c.s, f.S, Ice Spike in it's entirety once for me.

Told you this before but ditch the 2K 2HS combo, it only works consistently when you're dashing into them and actually pushing their character, or when they're dashing into you. If you're set on holding down 2 during your crouching combo, do a sweep instead with 2D. You can jump cancel it if it doesn't connect and run away. Nice followup off of the 2hit Air Spear though, against Faust.

Okay, but here's the deal (and I posted this on your youtube page but I think you missed it) - the combo is great and gets the best damage for low and max range . I'm fairly good at hit confirm and it does more than subbing for cr.D. The reason I messed up in those vids is because I was too close - usually I will do 2K 2S 5H 2H 236H. You tell me to use 5S, and I do but not from that distance and not when I want to go low.

I also usually FRC/special cancel the 2HS is if if its blocked or whatever, but like I said hadn't played in a few weeks and need to get back into the groove of things.

Anything else? I'm sure I have other stuff I need help on. :I:

Yeah I know I seem annoying saying it over and over (and I did see it on my Youtube) but I'd like to point out more flaws in that combo string. For one, 2K is an amazing low poke in it's range, but the problem is at the maximum distance you can hit someone with it, 2HS and even 2D will whiff, however 2D has a longer range (2S has even shorter horizontal range than both so your hitbox would have to be on top of the other for it to connect).

Even if they're blocking, you don't need to special cancel or frc to be safe after a 2D since it's JCable, whereas a whiffed 2HS MUST be FRC'd immediately, and since the window for FRC is right after the input your hit confirm has to be right at the 2K, not at the 2HS.

However, if your hitconfirm IS spot on, you could go to standing far Slash and hit with 1-2 hits, then link it into 5HS Icespike.

2HS is great and all but I had/have the same problem, which Nagai and Woki pointed out to me. I'm playing too recklessly without the experience to back it up, when I rush in and go for the usual 2K/5K c.S 5HS 2HS combo I whiff it too often and get punished. Dizzy is a character that can't afford to be punished, at least not more than two-three times.

You may not see these flaws as much against the computer but they will come bite you in the ass against any competent player. The instant you give them openings, they'll take you for a ride. Computers, even on Maniac, will not do this. Sure they might have a fancy dust or a damaging combo every once in a while, but you don't get knocked down into Oki from a computer, 100% stun combos, or in general consistent followups. I'm pulling my thoughts from real match experience, and I know that if all I did was 2K, 2HS all day one of the locals I play with will just go to town and take off a good 60%... if he's feeling lazy.

No, no! You're not annoying at all, I'm just saying in all the time I've been using it against human opponents (and despite what you have seen, I have actually fought against good players before :kitty: ) it has worked wonders. I never really whiffed with it and since I can hit confirm alright, I can forego the measly damage of 2D for 2HS, thus getting the KD and more damage.

But yeah, I agree with you just saying that 2HS is so much part of my mindset and has worked so well for me that it is somewhat hard to use 2D more. But I will try. :keke:

Oh definitely - I don't really like using the computer to show my skill because there things it does and does not do. Man, I wish I could have captured matches last month and when I played against this one Baiken player...
