Angel-tastic Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I think that it would be cool to have the balance updates and such as a patch and the new characters as DLC. Maybe they could make a bundle for the new characters + Kokonoe, Kagura and Terumi for like 20 yen or something, and a normal priced retail version with all the content. I think that would be a good deal for the people who already have the game. I hope they don't make it for PS4 though. I don't even have a PS4 and there aren't really any games I want for it and I bought the PS3 just to play fighting games, so that would suck for me. So I'm suddenly really glad that I dropped Nu for Izayoi. Nu's mode change combos were too hard for me, so I'll be glad to have some "normal" zoners, but I feel for the Nu mains who invested a lot of time in that iteration of Nu/Lambda. They changed Izayoi's Gain Art Mode too, but that made her better though, so I was cool with re-learning it. Maybe Nu and Lambda's new stuff will make them a lot better and more coherent as well? That would be fantastic if that happens. I'm personally most excited to see how Lambda comes out. A "rushdown zoner" would be so much fun!

I liked her since the phase 0 manga and I've been waiting for her since BBCP came out! Definately gonna at least sub, if not main her. Lambda now, I'm not sure. I don't like the fact that the sprite looks exactly the same and I don't like it story-wise too. I mean, I liked her but, does anyone actually stay dead in this game? D:

I won't be so salty about the new version if only the localization isn't that far away from the release date of the JP version. Characters who are add-ons/DLC=new. Questions? It's nice that you changed the definition to fit your argument, and then intentionally left out Terumi and Platinum. It's not like there was a Nu in CT, Bang/Litchi in CS, right?
Akujikan Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Characters who are add-ons/DLC=new. Questions? Even by that definition that means you're referring to Makoto, Valk, Platinum, Terumi and Kokonoe. Makoto was zany in CS2 after the full cast rebalance, not her original CS state (though she was still pretty solid then, with or without parry loop), so that doesn't really count. Plat has never been bonkers, and Terumi is capable of amazing damage but suffers in a lot of other areas. Valk has always been high tier because of his crazy mix up, high damage and mobility, but he's never seen blanket nerfs even outside of his new-DLC-hotness phase so that's a little debatable. Kokonoe is the only DLC character in BB that has thrown a monkey wrench in big enough for the community as a whole to actually consider banning since she trivialized several characters and everyone else still had to fight for their life against an overwhelming number of tools that almost universally resulted in enormous damage and could even reset into an unblockable for a kill. She's since been notably toned down, but she's still a very strong character. 1(.5?)/5 isn't so bad. /shenanigans is the CSS a different color? also im confused, did they remove Nu's different stances for Lambda or does Nu still have her stances? There is an image in this scan (http://i.imgur.com/g5dh1OU.png) of the CSS with Celica on the left and Lambda on the right. The background appears red, so that's probably a thing. And a couple of translators have said that a line in the article suggests that Nu will no longer have her stances. This is what is written on the photo. 最新バージョンではラムダ、ニューともに、モードチェンジが存在しない。 (in the new version Lambda, together with Nu, does not have mode change.) This is likely because Lambda will be more taking the place of Luna Forma but as a complete (I hope) character. Nu will likely be closer to her classic incarnation as the Dia Forma zoner. I know the latter makes CT players have nightmares, so here's hoping she's a little more realistic this time around.

Vulcan422 Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I am both shocked and pleased to know that Nu will no longer be bound by the shackles of the stance switch system, and also that Lambchops is returning. On the flip side, I don't care that much for Celica, much like I didn't care that much for Kokonoe's announcement. I will now go and wait until the reveal that the character that I am least interested in becomes top tier, while the character I am most interested in sucks.

I probably would have guessed that already from the screenshots anyway as Celica seems to interact directly with Minerva in many of those moves. Still, confirmation is good.

Izayoi was broken in the bad way. So was Tsubaki when she first came out. There's more than one way a character can be "broken"
