thiz Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Is someone remembering what it took them from CS2 Loketest to CS2 Arcade Release to CS2 console release? Just to get a basic idea of a possible release window.
Verimeloni Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Never mind. That attack in the pantyshot cap, could that be a reversal? Reversal super? I'm pretty sure that's her astral where Hazama's doing 236D.
Chaoschao222 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I'm pretty sure that's her astral where Hazama's doing 236D. Velouté is labeled as a DD.
Verimeloni Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Celica gameplay from Bururaji, around 15:30 mark: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1406168894 Plus you can hear (possibly) her theme playing in the background when they introduce her character. Violins~
swordsman09 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Aww how nice of Celica to heal you for the next round. Almost makes me like her. Well thankfully I don't see Celica being all Kokonoe tier on us all. Maybe some sick resets from her drive but no instant death combos. I like her cinematic super. It reminds me of Ramlethal Valentine's instant kill.
SixWingedAngel Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Celica looks great in the video She's Mori's ultimate waifu after all What I don't like is her run/backdash animation. Looks like some kind of freakin racing car lol
BloodWolF Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Gonna throw out what they say about Lambda for those that are interested. Reference: http://www.inside-games.jp/article/2014/07/24/78837.html Picture 1 Caption: N/A After: Lambda's base is in the Luna forma, but she varies from the current playable character, Nu. Aside from the new aura that surrounds her, she has a a lot of differences. After the new version update, Nu will no longer have mode change, so expect a big change from Nu as well. Picture 2 Caption: Drive: Sword summoner Kai After: She has the ability to summon swords and fire them at long distances. Picture 3 Caption: Lambda DD/OD Calamity Sword After: Unlike Nu's Calamity Sword, Lambda's will seek the opponent. (It doesn't say if it only seeks in OD, but that is what is shown) Picture 4 Caption: Lambda's new move, エクシーガネイル (Not sure how to say this honestly.) After: She teleports into the air and fires a large sword. Picture 5 Caption: Nu's new addition, jump 6D. After: Nu received a new air ability, This should add more variation to her offense. Picture 6 Caption: Battle Planner comment After: Lambda's base is the Luna form CP so she feels like Nu, but all of her D drives are different. She can't act parser off of her specials, but her style will be to lock down the enemy with her new drive and utilize her act parser zwei. Her OD will vary from Nu's as well, so please look forward to more.
Monarch Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Calamity Sword from anywhere in the screen? That sounds pretty good for extra damage during "DDDDDD" combos.
BloodWolF Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Well, we still don't know exactly what her drive does. It may not be DDDDDD for all we know.
DSveno Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Celica looks great in the video She's Mori's ultimate waifu after all I always thought that's Noel? Celica looks like my kind of girl. I guess using her will ensure more rage than Platinum from what I saw, and I love that.
Kikirin Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Just watched the Celica BB Radio snippet. Got a Bedman-ish vibe from Celica+Minerva's animations and attacks, albeit she doesn't have the deja vu mechanics. Seems to do quite a bit of damage off few hits on relatively simple-looking combos. Her fireball looks huge and annoying, and the huge uppercut from the screenshots seems to be a DP (went through Dead Spike). Didn't notice any sort of indicator for Minerva's health though. She seems to always be following Celica, even when Celica's hit / comboed. Also doesn't seem to be a separate hurtbox from Celica, and doesn't seem like she can be separated for tandem attacks or dismissed. Could be interesting if Minerva's health is tied to Celica taking damage - getting hit too much would then be a larger disadvantage for her than for other characters, in that she'd lose range, damage, and specials if Minerva's disabled.
mAc Chaos Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 i hope her "getting hit" animations have minerva taking the blows or something, it feels wrong to have the bb cast beating up on heralso the "mash combos" thing sounds like tsubaki
Master Of Chaos Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 From what I've seen in the video, both Celica and Minerva get hit. I fear for what Terumi has in store for her in his win pose. You know it will contain brutality of some kind.
swordsman09 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I fear for what Terumi has in store for her in his win pose. You know it will contain brutality of some kind. Thank you for getting me more excited for Celica. I'm hoping for another Ragna winpose while he just screams, "Get out! Get out of my sight!" i hope her "getting hit" animations have minerva taking the blows or something, it feels wrong to have the bb cast beating up on her also the "mash combos" thing sounds like tsubaki I get more of a Noel drive kind of vibe if you know what I mean.
Appledash- Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I love how one of Celica's DD's Minerva just tosses her off the screen and does the entire move herself.
Starlight777 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I love how one of Celica's DD's Minerva just tosses her off the screen and does the entire move herself. It really gives the feel that you're playing as Minerva instead of Celica to me. Celica's giving me a Rachel vibe with how she does almost nothing of her own. I kinda like the whole pacifist vibe she's giving off.
JyakotuKurayami Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Looking at in-game footage of Celica, it makes sense when they said that she and Minevra play in unison. You're essentially controlling ONE character with two sprites on screen. So while Celica has a puppet, she plays nothing like Carl or Relius, because they both move together and attack together. Interesting.
Hecatom Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 LOL, this thread, so many people throwing the word broken or OP when talking about characters that are just really good.It is obvious that none of you know what broken truly means.A character is only broken when all his matchups are 8:2 or more in his favor, you know like Petshop on JJBA, Ivan Ooze on MMPR, Akuma on ST.Kokono is perhaps the only character that could have been considered broken, but that is very debatable since she didn't dominate all the cast before the patch, she was still manageable.Being good, doesn't equate to OP or Broken.

Master Of Chaos Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 No one's talking about Celica being broken or OP. At least, not right now. Kokonoe was total bullshit pre-patch, anyone saying otherwise ether hasn't played the game enough or are fooling themselves. Near infinite blockstuns, nonsense damage, total arena control and teleport shit for days. Also what's with that plug that Celica keeps using for Minerva? Don't remember that being a thing. Then again, I don't remember Minerva being anything other than a Nirvana pallet, so...
Starlight777 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Celica and Lambda most likely won't turn out anything like Kokonoe did just for the sole fact they're getting loketested. Kokonoe didn't really get any kind of live testing.
SoWL Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I feel that Celica is way too basic to be broken: she's basically a cute shoto with a doll. The only way she might end up broken is if her combos deal obscene damage for no reason or if her healing ends up better than everyone expected. Actually, I'm more afraid of her joining Makoto as a character who has no broken tools and is just "fair". Also, Minerva is totally looking like Thanatos in that super.
Kikirin Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Actually, I'm more afraid of her joining Makoto as a character who has no broken tools and is just "fair". How is this a bad thing. If anything, more of the cast should be adjusted towards this level of honesty!
Master Of Chaos Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Makoto is boring because she doesn't have anything in particular going for her (Though the nerfs don't help ether). The difference between character power shouldn't be astronomical, because then NO ONE has fun as one character steamrolls everyone, but having them all around the same level is just boring. Having distinct strength and weaknesses is what makes fighting games fun. Anyway no more of this cause we're going off topic and it's way too early for judgement calls. BACK TO WAIFU HYPE GOGOGOGOGO~!
