I hope this ends up as something similar to USFIV where the upgrade is just DLC with a stand alone can be bought seperately

 

It'd be a first since ASW has never done it that way before. CSII was a free update (minus the DLC characters of course), while Extend was sold (initially) for full retail at $59.99. Somehow I am not inclined to believe they would grant us this many changes for free so it seems like a CP Extend is in the works. Course I could very well be wrong so don't fret too much over my opinion.

Info 1: Bang now appears to vanish when using his high speed movement from OD if he has a Rin mark.

Info 2: All Distortion Drives are now enhanced by Overdrive (currently only certain DDs benefit from OD).

 

Sweet news. I always thought it was a little odd that not every DD changed in OD.There are characters like Ragna, Azrael, Nu-13, Makoto and the like that had all their DDS changed in OD but this wasn't true for every character. I wonder what those power-up DDs will end up doing when in OD. Specifically I am referring to Hakumen's Mugen and Tsubaki's Macto Maledictus (214214B/C respectively). Should be fun to see at least.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much about Mugen/Install; They already "benefit" from Overdrive in that they last longer while in it, so I'd be a little surprised to discover they do anything more there.

 

If they do though, Tsubaki OD+Install Combos are going to be epic.

I don't remember them doing this before, but I hope they sell a discounted bundle with all of the DLC characters. I'd totally buy that.

And yah.  The reason Extend was so poorly received is that it was the OPPOSITE of a discount.  It was $40, and even if you had bought all of the new characters at $7 a pop, including Relius, who was never for sale that way, you'd still only have spent $28.  And every character you'd already shown your support for Ark Sys by buying reduced the value of Extend.  It was a terrible, terrible way to sell a game.

 

Edit: It's not a terrible way to get NEW people to buy the game, because $40 for everything is better than $30 or whatever plus $7*X DLC characters, but this has to be an OPTION, not a requirement.

Something visually impactful is what's most desired when od supers are concerned I think. Maybe have her pick which item she gets in a cute fashion or something.

I wonder if characters with small OD DD changes will get bigger ones. Noel's OD Thor allows her to airdash after the rocket, wonder if it'll get something more ;-;

Which was sadly hillarious considering that many of the complainers were also those who said that they will wait for the next revision with every dlc character on it.

So in the end they were stuck in a situation where many didn't like the idea of buying DLC chars neither buying a next revision, it seems that they want everything for free

Most likely they will do something like ultra street fighter 4 if they learned anything from Extend. Plus, the recent PR for Blazblue in general seems to suggest they really want this game to be main stream even in the US.

Also, with all the changes I highly doubt this will be free. I love free as much as the next person but at the end of the day this is still a for profit company we are talking about.

I can't help but get the feeling that Celica is a joke character--she's so hilariously unfitting and her moves are all comical...then again, this is ArcSys where all characters no matter how wacky are taken seriously.
