Goldenrody Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6683016 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6683832 Pretty interesting Litchi in these vids. Does double tk chun combos, and combos into Daisharin
jeboody Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 interesting, those vids have disappeared from nico.
Lord Knight Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Yeah wow wtf? We were watching these last night too.
jeboody Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 the litchi in these vids does some interesting stuff... vs v: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6704386 vs jin: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6704354 (and so does the v-13)
skati Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 For anyone here that has used Litchi so far, and has played Johnny in Guilty Gear, how is it using Litchi's Straight Through? Is it kind of hard to remember to press another button for the attack when you're used to Johnny's way? Or is it easier over all?
skati Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 You can just treat Litchi like not Johnny. Well, yeah. From what I've seen of her, you can't treat her like Johnny at all. It's just that one move that's similar. It was an idle question I was curious about, if anyone forgets to press a second button for the actual straight through attack to come out. I wasn't trying to claim she plays like Johnny or anything. Sorry if my post wasn't clear enough there.
jeboody Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 why not just treat her straight through like an entirely new move that you have to learn? no point in comparing it someone else's move.
skati Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 why not just treat her straight through like an entirely new move that you have to learn? no point in comparing it someone else's move. Yeah, I hear what you're saying, as well as the person above you. I'm probably going to use it as I would Johnny's slightly, in so far as going into the stance, waiting for the person to come, then strike (not all the time, of course, as that'll make me predictable, but from time to time). Anything else I can do, I'll figure it out. On that note, lets just kill discussion on my question about that. Anyway, a new, and hopefully more legitimate question here about straight through.... Is there any kind of time limit on how long her pose for it lasts or will it stay there indefinitely until you hit an attack button?
jeboody Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 http://s1.zetaboards.com/blazblue/pages/litchi_data/ 54 frames. lol i guess it's about 1 second.
Hintalove Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 For combo #9 in that list posted on the last page, the counter hit something is the fireball super, just in case any one was wondering.
Diveman Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 be careful when doing the manten punch super, sometimes the opp will reversal super you, so if they have meter try jumping or blocking. You can see what I mean on the latest gamechariot vids: http://www.gamechariot.com/08frame_main.html the last video at the bottom, the match between litchi and tager at 09:16
skati Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 http://s1.zetaboards.com/blazblue/pages/litchi_data/ 54 frames. lol i guess it's about 1 second. Hmm...well, there goes that plan. Oh well, I'm sure I can still figure out how to use her. Probably won't be able to do as a good with her as some other characters, but I may be able to at least figure out how to use her somewhat decently.
Shining Aquas Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Question about Unicorn Horn (aka FLAME SPEAR, BIZZITCH!!!): Does the input have to be exactly 6428C, or can it be something like 64128C or even something retarded like 64123698C?
jeboody Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 i cannot do flame super on 2P side. it's ridiculous. i pull it off pretty easily on 1P...i guess i'll try LK's method on 2P next time. skati, i suggest you wait until you play the game before drawing conclusions like that.
skati Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 i cannot do flame super on 2P side. it's ridiculous. i pull it off pretty easily on 1P...i guess i'll try LK's method on 2P next time. skati, i suggest you wait until you play the game before drawing conclusions like that. I definitely will. I thought maybe I could plan ahead of some things I could do (especially from the way the description sounded), you know? But yeah, you're right. I'll just have to wait til I actually play it.
dirsian Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I picked up Litchi today (my 2nd time back at that arcade in Houston, Planet Zero), and I frikkin love her. I have also come up with a few very unorthodox combos off of counterhits that i'll post here after I figure out exactly what I mashed =D. (Uh oh, looks like this thread has grown since I last lurked.) Looking at the vid's up on youtube, it also looks like I spend a LOT more time staffless than those japanese players do... What's up with that?
Brent-quest Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Dunno why you would ever really WANT to stay staffless. You have no shoryu when it's out and shorter normals.
Lord Knight Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 You do have a shoryu when you're staffless, use hatsu.
Brent-quest Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 You do have a shoryu when you're staffless, use hatsu. Uh... hatsu has no invincibility.
Lord Knight Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 It has large range and beats a lot of moves. It's rather useful. Manakan even gets to the point where he occasionally uses it out of tech.
Poizonous Flour Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I'm a little new to Litchi, myself... barely played her for the second time in the arcades and already did some pretty wierd stuff. 5B 5C(2hit) 3C During the manten return state... does she count as having the staff, or not. I followed this with... (non-equipped)5C 236+A, 236+B, 236+C during those final frames and it all connected. The staff kinda lingered there on her back and didn't move while this was being done, allowing me to finish the combo. But the staff still did seem equipped. 236+C. I realized after this move she tends to want to jump back to her staff. Is there a command that comes after this move, or is it automatic after hit she tries to land on her staff if it is placed. Maybe I should just spend more time at the arcades and try to figure this stuff out... ... She might have a better cross-up game than I first thought.
Lord Knight Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 During manten return state, she's counted as being staffless. If you're still doing staffless moves when the mantenbou already completely returned, it will wait until you're done. 236+C. I realized after this move she tends to want to jump back to her staff. Is there a command that comes after this move, or is it automatic after hit she tries to land on her staff if it is placed. Don't really get what you mean here.
Diveman Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I think he is talking about when people do chun (236+ C) and then they usually use 624A/B/C and leap to the mantenbou and launch it or whatever
