darkcloud Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 So where did you all purchase the game from? I bought mine from Play-Asia and am currently waiting for the game to arrive. For new players however I think it would be good to have a reference point on where or how to purchase the game. I did not see any information in the Q&A thread. So lets compile a list of places to buy the game that we trust. Also, is it possible to download this game over Japanese PSN? That would be the fastest way to get the game but would require some guidance on how to go about creating a japanese PSN account and adding currency. Thanks
SoWL Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Finally, a thread where everyone can ask how much the game costs and which PSN regions have it. Anyways, pretty much everything you should know is already explained over here: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6703-importing-101/

Tatsuma Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I think it should be noted that I think the Hong Kong's version is cheaper, as is the case with most of their releases. Feel free to correct me though.
Afternoon Intergalactic Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Like others have said, it's possible (and preferred by most) to download the game to a JP or HK PSN account, and most of the info can be found in the Importing 101 guide. Also, I've heard good things about both Play-Asia and Ami Ami regarding physical imports.
SoulGuitarist Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Like everyone is saying, you could always purchase from JPN PSN or HK PSN but if you are like me, you only download games only if it's download-only and only buy physical copies. Lol. My order shipped out today so you may want to check your order status to see if your copy shipped as well!
blackraen Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Like others have said, it's possible (and preferred by most) to download the game to a JP or HK PSN account, and most of the info can be found in the Importing 101 guide. Also, I've heard good things about both Play-Asia and Ami Ami regarding physical imports. I have traditionally gone with Play-Asia for my physical importing. My particular favorite about them is their offering of FedEx shipping is really nice, at least coming State-side, and is pretty equivalently priced to EMS but ships must faster. My typical shipping experience with Play-Asia runs a 50/50 between them shipping 1 day early (HK time) or on day-of-release (HK time again), and with FedEx delivery to Eugene, OR it's usually 2 days. Thanks to the Intl. Date Line, that means I usually get my physical copies from PA on Thursday or Friday my time, which is really nice. I like AmiAmi though since they will most often be able to offer the pre-order bonuses and other things that you'll miss out on more often than not with PA, but they are a JP based shop and ship using EMS, so stuff takes longer to get there, and they usually don't actually send out shipments till end of day on release day, so an AmiAmi shipment usually reaches me Monday or Tuesday (for Thursday release items). They do tend to be a little less expensive than PA though. They do NOT like it if you cancel orders though and may dump your account if you make a habit of it, so that's another thing to watch for with AmiAmi. The PA UNIEL shipment seemed to have been delayed a day, but I surprised to have still received mine today. Sometimes FedEx really comes through.
bluedevil5 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 There is a guide written up here: http://pcfightinggames.net/how-to-buy-under-night-in-birth-exe-late-from-psn/
Kurushii Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 There is a guide written up here: http://pcfightinggames.net/how-to-buy-under-night-in-birth-exe-late-from-psn/ "Now that you have bought the game for $55 dollars instead of $91 dollars it would have cost you in JPN PSN cards, you can feel better." Wow false information in that guide. The game is only 5800 yen on the Jp store. 6000 yen in cards from Playasia is $77.98, or $68.74 from SolarisJapan. Also multiple players in Japan was selling the cards for even cost too.
gwcommander Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I purchased my copy on Nipponn-Yasan which was $51 before shipping (physical) but hasn't shipped yet, I contacted them last night and they had mentioned they had a delay in reciving thier stock. Anyone else order from there? Edit: My copy just shipped last night. So looks like they are in stock there now.
SavageWolff Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 I'll just share how i got my copy :o i just went on play asia got 2 200HK cards and used a psn account from hong kong the cards come online in your email the same day(depending on when u buy it)
xSanosuke Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I ordered my copy from cdjapan recently with their 1-3 day FedEx International Priority shipping. It was the lowest base price I could find at $56, and I've had nothing but excellent experiences with them and that shipping speed before, so it was a no-brainer for me. I had a few members points to lessen the price a bit so it ran me just over $67 in total. Hasn't shipped yet on account of it being over the weekend and apparently on back-order, but it should definitely be moving in the next couple of days and be to me shortly judging by how fast they've gotten my stuff to me before.
RifleAvenger Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 My copy was shipped the day after the game came out, but got held up in Hong Kong for a week. No clue what that's about.
gwcommander Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Just got mine in today. I'm a sucker for physical games. I like smelling that new game smell. No DLC for that!
JettyLovefield Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Bought digital. My country loves salty tax so to hell with that.
Mortum Kujo Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I got mine through the JP PSN store, last time I bought a physical game from Japan I ended up having to pay an extra £40 D:
Shining Aquas Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Still waiting in the mail. Order said it shipped on the 26th... Suffering is suffering.
xSanosuke Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 CDJapan finally received fresh stock and my order has officially entered the shipping phase. Should leave their facilities probably in the next few hours and be at my doorstep Friday(most likely) or Saturday(at the latest), judging by my past experiences with their fastest shipping option. Get hype.
Siky Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 I didn't realize FedEx delivered on Saturdays... this makes me very sad about picking EMS over FedEx just to save a few bucks. Wouldn't be so bad if they shipped earlier, but... such bad luck.
zDisapproval Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Purchased HK physical copy from Play Asian with FedEx 2-4 days shipping. It got to me last Saturday and I ordered it on Thursday. Was very happy to start playing right away. ^_^
ekuah Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 got mine today from playasia with fedex. got it without problems. i even had not to pay taxes :D 8[
Shining Aquas Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I still haven't gotten mine. It shipped on July 26th. It sucks cause everyone in my area is probably practicing with characters that aren't Chaos, and now I'm probably too far behind to ever catch up.
