As of right now, it's mainly about why those matchups are bad. I'll touch up on it further when I play them more so I can really think about it. I think I have a pretty good idea of the Teddie one, however. Feel free to chime in. I'm going to call this the rough draft of it since I was really only replying to someone telling me to back up my claim. I didn't think I'd be interested in doing write ups. I'm now very interested in doing so. Anyway, the post is the first one on this page.

And yeah, after playing the Aigis one more, it's certainly even. Where are all the good Yu players at?

I don't think this was already mentioned but Margaret's guard cancel hits low, don't know how useful this could be but still its nice to know lol.

The only time you should use Guard Cancel Attack is if you're going to go into an OMB situation to put them on pixel of death. Just Guard Evasive Action.

I don't think  Shabrys beats Margaret...I think it's the opposite actually.

 

I'd like to see the reasoning...

After playing Bananamerica, I'll do some sort of write up. The general idea is that Margaret is really good at deal with Asterious in neutral (probably the best character in the game at breaking him) and that's where you'll wanna try and stay if you can help it. Offense is RPS with Shabrys because her DP ignores our safety range and hits us anyway. So things like stagger 5A lasers and sneaking a God Hand in there can get us blown up. Defense is really hard without meter. Like REALLY hard. 

 

Lord Knight, please play Bananamerica and give your in depth thesis on how to win that matchup outside of neutral. Because I have never had to play that hard in my entire life. 

 

Despite this, Shabrys is one of my favorite matchups in the game only behind Elizabeth.

What does rps mean?

Rock paper scissors; RPS just refers to a situation where you're forced to guess more or less.

Played him more today. I'm starting to get it more but I still feel the same way. 

 

I also forgot that her 214A/B/SB only hits once. 

 

Power Slash beats the bite setup and even if they block, it's rather hard to punish. Of course if you have meter to rapid, you get out for free. Also, if you have 50 meter when she does Titanomachia, use Power Slash to break Asterious. 

 

And again, neutral is pretty easy. Not too easy but very managable. You can win games in neutral if the player can't defend. Sweep, Divine Vacuum, God Hand, j.5D and j.2D all break Asterious. So you can keep her on the other side of the screen for a while.

I use Power Slash OMC to sort of make a wall around Margaret and then prepare to block if I can catch something like 5C or Buffalo Hammer. And I do so sparingly/sooner rather than later. 

 

Of course, Power Slash will straight up ruin Titanomachia if Shabrys or the bull is too close on activation (not sure if empty Titanomachia is safe against it, but I usually prepare to block/roll those anyway)

 

Pretty much all of our normals break the bull except for 5A/2A/j.A, D grabs, AoA,and j.B (but 5B /will/ work). 

 

Anything over 400 damage in a single hit should break the autoguard. Of course, use the best normal at your discretion (but wouldnt footstomping the bull be hilarious?)

Pressing DP against Shabrys is very dangerous indeed. I've been hit by a fatal 5C from her as a result. I didn't DP for like 6 games after that. ._.

not really worthwhile info but still funny to know, I was playing a friend who mains teddie and if marg suplexes him so that they both land on top of the curry, they both get inflicted with fear, poison and (I Think?) silence lol

 

pretty sure it works with things like the muscle drink too

Margaret quick match up update:

Narukami - still hard.

Yosuke - not too bad.

Kuma - bad.

Aigis - difficult to learn, but she wins.

Minazuki - not too bad.

Akihiko - fine, but don't mess up.

Sho - fine.

Ken - she definitely wins.

S.Lab - fine.

Rise - not bad, but pretty tough.

Yukari - same as Rise.

Chie - fine.

Marie - annoying.

Mitsuru - probably Margaret favour.

The rest - she definitely wins.
