Makoto's space Counter looks like a command grab, but I guess that it is just a really short range attack with frame 1 guard point plus a catch.

 

Her Infinite Rush looks and sounds really satisfying.

Oh yeah I actually thought I typed that, but I typed "attack" instead. I knew it wasn't a command grab, but it was more of a comment about how little range it has.

 

Mu-12's lasers having limited range is the absolute best thing for all characters that may have had a hard time in her matchup in every iteration. Navigating the screen will still be hell, but it won't be completely hopeless anymore.

Mu nerfed to the ground.....Yea. I think I need a drink. Or 1000.

 

It's not like they gave her amazing normals hurtboxes in the lightsaber portions. Not the end of the world. You just won't be as oppressive against characters with inherently inferior neutral anymore.

 

Maybe cut that down to 500 instead of 1000 so you don't kill yourself.

Thanks Q.Q. Im trying to keep my spirits up but....the very though of having to leave my waifu thanks to asws downright stupid balance decisions brings me right back down.

You don't have to leave, your true love of the character is being tested.

To be honest though, mu does sound a good deal worse. At least from what we have to go on. Not sure where she's headed.

Judging by the icon in your sig and your psn....you main tsubaki.

 

As tsubaki is one of mus best matchups atm....I really don't think you have room to speak on mu balance if im right. But idk. But if you have ever played mu you would know most of these nerfs are super unjustified and way larger than needed.

 

But again idk you so...sorry for any misunderstandings im not here to cause any drama.

I am seeing these changes as a fresh idea, because it seems that Mu has opened up new combo possibilies and stein seem to cancel into c normals (for odd reasons) for new kind of  pressure

Whoa whoa I'm not either. I'm actually just curious. I wanted to instigate you into giving me information. What matchups will become significantly worse for you because of these changes? How much harder will you have to work in order to achieve what you currently are able to do right now with ease? Have you already started coming up with ideas/gimmicks to continue to find a way to make up for what you lost? Probably should have been more direct about this instead of mean/angry.

I guess I'm ok with the Platinum changes, but damn am I going to miss 3C > Air Persia. 

The OD buff seems pretty neat though.

I think that we should not panic that much, since the mentioned info  only changes because there were more unlisted changes that you can see in the video

If they're tryong to point her in the direction of more rushdown, less mash D (its a joke, calm down) then I'd be happy. Putting aside my hatred of Mu for a moment, it has ALWAYS bothered me that all of the murakumos were zoning characters. Mu was the first character I picked up in Ex, and after a while I was like "... I dont like zoning, but I like the robo". Don't really want her to be bad, since a balanced cast is what I'd love to see (not perfect balance, fair balance).

These are more along the lines of aesthetic complaints though, so I'll go ahead and stop there.

Isn't she getting 3C > Heart car?

 

Yes, but I liked 3C > Air Persia for midscreen combos. 

It's all good though, I'm content with 3C > Heart Car. Either way, it's all a matter of time to see how these changes affect each character so I'm optimistic.

Oh hey Makoto.

  • I really like how you can cancel Lvl G drives too now. That looked really great.
  • If I think about what that j.2C bounce can do, I hope I can cancel into another j.2C, or dash for a cross up. Creative shit.
  • I noticed how they didn't mention the wallsticking. Does that mean it's gone?
  • Makoto's parry finally having some invulnerability. I hope I don't get counter'ed anymore when I try to do it.

Oh and I don't like that Terumi has a new theme. EDII too good.

C'mon, Mu getting nerfed is perfectly justified. That character is almost as annoying as Noel. Characters without mobility just have such a tough time getting anything done. Plus, she has a good dp, a great damage from most hits, and has normals that are really good at doing what they do. So obnoxious.

 

The only thing to complain about at this point is the overhead nerf. The other changes (even the Stein lasers being slower) aren't necessarily nerfs 'cause we don't know how her new setups and combos will work

Well, I'm not a Mu main, but the obvious change will be the Mu vs Nu/Lambda match up. Since the lasers don't go fullscreen, Nu/Lambda is much better at neutral as a result. Also Tager and Hakumen can get in and do things. So it'll make things easier for them as well as other slow characters. I could see her having trouble with fast characters, Tao, Valk, etc. Also characters who control neutral really well, like Hazama and Rachel, might be rough as well. Hard to say since new stuff all around.
