Argent Zero Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 The world can't end until Tager is S-tier! Ain't going to end till Tager can double jump and air dash.
TD Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 So never. I really want to see how much kokonoe got neutered.
Tokkan Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Doesn't seem like these need to be translated, but if someone wants to know what's there, I'll take a stab at it tomorrow. http://shoryuken.com/2014/10/08/arc-system-works-shares-additional-changes-in-blazblue-chronophantasmas-upcoming-ver-2-0-update/ USD beat you to it. I guess we should thank her.
shtkn Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 it appears overdrive time has been cut in half in general. lasted about 1.6 seconds when i timed it with my stopwatch (and subtracted superflash) http://youtu.be/rWMX8_ZOSaI?t=4m33s in 1.0, plat should have OD for 3 seconds when between 100%-90% health. pretty sure she had over 90% health here so my guess is od time is cut by half for everyone compared to 1.0
Ziggy_Stardust Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Not sure if it was posted a while back, but here's a few of Celica's reference palettes. GG: Zappa, with Minerva as S-Ko Anime/VG: ??? BB: Nine, no idea who Minerva is based off of, if anybody. Persona: Rise Kujikawa, with Minerva as Himiko. Oh and Lambda gets Nu's old Gundam color from CT as her anime reference palette. NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO! BAD CELICA! YOU ARE NOT AND NEVER WILL BE AS BADASS AND COOL AS ZAPPA! HOW DARE YOU! WHERE DO YOU EVEN GET OFF? I SWEAR IF I SEE ANYBODY USE THIS PALETTE THEN I WILL PERSONALLY ASTRAL HEAT THEM IN REAL LIFE.
bakahyl Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 it appears overdrive time has been cut in half in general. lasted about 1.6 seconds when i timed it with my stopwatch (and subtracted superflash) http://youtu.be/rWMX8_ZOSaI?t=4m33s in 1.0, plat should have OD for 3 seconds when between 100%-90% health. pretty sure she had over 90% health here so my guess is od time is cut by half for everyone compared to 1.0 It seems cut but not sure if it's by half because at this point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrsWN7pMjDM&&t=3h11m29s Celica has roughly 70-79% health and her OD lasts roughly 180f (timed it by using training mode at full health and activated OD at the same time as in the video) And at this point Jin used his OD while he had probably between 10-19% health and the gauge looked long (not as long as before though) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrsWN7pMjDM&&t=3h2m57s My guess is that they cut the OD time by a fixed amount of frames (probably 60f)
shtkn Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 that's interesting, but celica is a new char, so we have no values to compare against for her. maybe she has an abnormally long od time compared to the rest of the cast?
bakahyl Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I editted my previous post with a Jin value https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrsWN7pMjDM&&t=57m39s Amane using OD while having probably 30-39% health Odd,,, when i was timing Amane's values it looked very much the same as in 1.1 edit: I nearly forgot that there was a superfreeze caused bu Jin's Yukikaze that stopped the timer for a short moment
shtkn Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 hm yeah the jin example is hard to measure, but that was definitely longer than if we had just used the half theory.
chzchan Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I would actually like it if they did not just have global OD time decreases, but just have more varied OD lengths. Since OD's introduction, the length hasn't been too variant across characters.
destruction_adv Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 So, I read that Mu's OD no longer has steins auto-fire...so what does it do now besides buff a few specials.
LaziestNameEver Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Relius 6B doesn't force float on ground hit anymore. Not really sure what to think of this.
Myoro Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 This is really bad. Relius 6B doesn't force float on ground hit anymore. Not really sure what to think of this. Like 2/4 of every Relius confirm is gone, bad. 3/4 if 236C Rapid combos are out.
The Magnet Technician Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO!NO! BAD CELICA! YOU ARE NOT AND NEVER WILL BE AS BADASS AND COOL AS ZAPPA! HOW DARE YOU! WHERE DO YOU EVEN GET OFF? I SWEAR IF I SEE ANYBODY USE THIS PALETTE THEN I WILL PERSONALLY ASTRAL HEAT THEM IN REAL LIFE. I'm maining Celica, using her Zappa palette, and spending every single match fantasizing about her. Deal. Ain't going to end till Tager can double jump and air dash. I remember seeing Mike Z say something about how the three things Tager's needed since CT are a double-jump, projectile invincibility on SB start-up, and sledge break.
Rhannmah Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 some 2.0 streams https://twitter.com/Furious_blog/status/520066875883937792
Tokkan Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Lambda's GG palette is Ramlethal... Fitting. https://twitter.com/kc56ks/status/520098688861884417
TD Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 This is really bad. Like 2/4 of every Relius confirm is gone, bad. 3/4 if 236C Rapid combos are out. Really emphasizing duo combos it seems for damage, since it appears he has mid screen confirms only with ignis/ch/meter use. He has options still to corner carry or get damage, without ignis combos will likely be whatever into 236c for corner push, plus 6b can still be used for combos, probably lost one or two good confirms from 6b launch. I don't think its too bad, though 6b is an even worse combo fodder now and should be buffed utility wise to compensate, like actual invul. I guess this was to further balance the risk/reward of his already good pressure game. Not sure what else could have been needed, I saw 3c lost jump cancel but not special cancel, that's all I saw so far for his changes besides the new attack id stein. The new move might make the loss worthwhile.
NecroTheReaper Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Its a corner exclusive move, and while it does add a decent amount of damage to corner combos, I wouldn't say it was worth trading all jump cancels for, but... this is Arksys. They nerf what they nerf, and regardless of wether or not I approve is iirrelevant. Still, I dunno how a character with only pressure and a 26f overhead is gonna open someone up more than once per round. Meh, kinda excited, mostly bummed.
Daedron Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I dunno how a character with only pressure and a 26f overhead is gonna open someone up more than once per round. Really? Well I don't want to derail this thread, so I won't say anything more than that. But I do think you should think long and hard about what you just said.
Kiba Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Not sure if it was posted a while back, but here's a few of Celica's reference palettes. GG: Zappa, with Minerva as S-Ko Anime/VG: ??? Myoro Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Really? Well I don't want to derail this thread, so I won't say anything more than that. But I do think you should think long and hard about what you just said. Let's all not. I'm hecka concerned about Rel too, but let's just leave it at that. I'm serious.
StylisH Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 And we're off in the Day 1 Stakes again. Leading the way this year in the polls is Mu Too Weak, followed closely by Holy Shit Hakumen Damage and Why Nerf My Main. Stay tuned, folks, stay tuned... Seriously though, Bullet and Amane are looking pretty good now, so maybe I can win with Bullet now and won't feel bad for trying with Amane Litchi got set back a bit, but I can appreciate her being more challenging to play now because if you screw up staff launch setups/pressure, you pay Valk is still da gawd. Command grab being techable is actually a good thing imo. People desperate to tech it are more open to mixups and TRM shenanigans Izayoi I'm still on the fence about. I'd like to see a bit more info/footage before I pass judgment there I think I'm going to enjoy 2.0 Oh yeah, C wolf cannon too strong
bakahyl Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Well it's fun to read people who were tweeting about these things like Tsubaki having an almost 9k OD combo or Bang having 4k+ meterless corner combos
