Can someone give me a general summation of this character? Her gameplan, her playstyle, etc. She seems extremely basic to me so I'm not sure what to think of her but maybe it's just because I don't know much about her.

It's hard to say since we really only know what there is to know from watching match videos, and so far the only known players that have tried her are Kakyun and Minami.

She definitely seems to be a basic character for the most part, though we still don't know enough specifics about her drive to make a judgment on that.

She does have a few unique aspects though; an invincible super that's almost entirely safe on block, a chargeable DP that retains invuln through charge (though is not frame 1 invuln), what looks to be a very strong backdash, a very fast grounded overhead in backhoe > rapid, a really interesting throw game due to the limited and sometimes non-existant pushback on certain normals, and overall high damage.

Japan seems to be not so hot on BlazBlue right now, and there's almost no Celica discussion on Twitter, so most likely we'll have to wait until April to find out what's really up.

Early CPE tier lists put her bottom though.

There's a really stellar example of the weird property on (some?) of Celica's normals where they just have absolutely zero pushback on block. At around 9:50 it happens even against barrier. Kakyun has used it for some interesting TRM setups.

I appreciate this, am I the only one who cringes hearing her talk in battle....wasn't her voice so much better in the actual story?

Can someone please explain to me her Challenge 18 and 19? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong with the D~D~2D being able to be combo'd afterwords. Am I suppose to hit them in a special way with the last 2D, or do I just have to mash 2A afterwords?

You need to delay the 2D followup so that the opponent is seen as already on the ground when it hits, rather than being thrown into the ground. Basically just wait as long as possible before letting it go, without you know... being too late.

Now... You wouldn't happen to know a 9.5k combo would you?  :?:

OD > 6C > 214[C] > RC > 214[C] > (2D~6D > 214[C]) x2 > 2D~5D > CT > 66B > 5D > 632146C.

Are we going to make a critique thread? I have videos but it's just general knowledge of playing the game, no real ideas of actually using the character. Will probably have some footage next week to share between here and Skype.

Also is there any kind of trick to the timing of 214[C] RC 214[C] so that it passes through?

Assuming you're referring to the 9.6k combo, you just have to RC as soon as the first 214C ends and immediately input the second one. Honestly the game's version was a little bit easier.

 

OD 6C > CT > 214C > 2D~6D > 214[C] > 2D~6D > 214[C] > 2D~5D~6D > RC > Dash 6D~5D > Casque Veloute

Yeah the second one did the trick, I guess I just have to practise the RC

Kamoihito almost did 10k (literally only needed 70 more damage) when he tested her out at the beginning of the game. Maybe you can add one more hit or something to do so? I needa test this out
