Noel's mixups are actually mostly from drive in this version, so...

 

Anyways, that backdash looks hilarious. It goes like half screen in an instant.

 

That sounds better than the legendary F-Tohno backdash :psyduck:

Did Someone notice how she recovered almost nothing of HP with her DD? Welp, I wouldn't spend 50 bar just for that. Hopefully it is like yukiko's DP, a reversal and you can hold it to heal more.

Haha, Minerva looks like a lot of fun. Definitely going to try her out when she is released. I wonder with the two essentially being one character in the fight makes anything awkward hitbox wise.

Her backdash is legit though. Almost Zappa levels of awesome.

all im seeing from her currently is alot of speed. fast projectile, fast movement, fast attacks. I doubt she will be a movement character but she's looking like terumi with a good fireball.

 

not too interesting, but I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing her fleshed out more. where is nine.

Does Celica gameplay remind anyone else of Bedman, or is it just me?

 

So she looks like she has a godly anti-air, a godly projectile, and a godly backdash. I think those things at the very least are going to make her a pretty solid character in addition to her other abilities. I don't think she'll be outrageously good like Kokonoe, but I think that the Celica fans got a pretty good playable character though.

Yeah, she looks like a pretty solid character. Doesn't seem to be OP or trash. That and she is adorable :keke:, I look forward to being able to play her...whenever that happens to be that is.

Looking at the current character select screen, it looks like they could add two more characters on each side of Terumi. If ArcSys does release a CP Extend, I would hope it would include more than just the Vita content and Celica and Lambda. At any rate, I'm ready to see some gameplay of Celica so I can see how she plays.

My theory:

When the game was coming out, we saw the characters had color swaps of each other. When we saw Jin, we thought he has cs tsubaki default pallet, only later to find it was Izzys. Mu 12 had lambdas color. seemed a bit out of place but now lambda is playable, so we know her pallet swap will be mu. So, mu 12 pretty much confirmed lambda as playable. Lets take this further, Kokonoe has Jubei, if this theory holds water, she pretty much confirms Jubei playable. If Celica had Nines color, she will be confirming nine. So all we really need is Celicas color pallets. We get that, we get to see if nine will be in or not...or so goes my theory @_@

Calling it - Celica's astral renders her opponent powerless. Granted I'm amused by the idea she falls asleep, gets slapped by her opponent then counter bitch slaps them for 63831 damage.

He also stated: "Celica playable?! hahahaha, she can't fight, how is she gonna fight?", xP. I wouldn't take Mori's word to seriously. I think Jubei and Nine will be playable sooner or later. The true question is if they're gonna be playable in this iteration or later.

 

To me Celica looks good, since her normals are kind of solid, with good range and fast. Her backdash looks really similar to Kagura's, good but not Azrael's levels. But from the looks, she's not gonna be high tier. We all know that the top-high tiers have weird and powerful mechanics the gives them the upper hand (with the exception of Azrael and his lol normals). I hope that in the loktest they find some interesting information around her normals. If she ends good or bad, that depends almost on her normals, her drive mechanic is just too straight forward. Obviously, all this crap is just speculating from a 3 minute clip...

I don't see what's wrong with Celica being an easy to use character. She's even really fighting, as Minevra is really doing all the work. But my guess is that Celica will probably have Carl/Tao health, or even lower. Being a healer with a healing distortion, it wouldn't surprise me if she has 9000 health.

Whe can expect anything from Mori, lol. I just want a bit tricky Celica and not a easy char like Terumi.

 

I wanted Terumi to be more difficult to play than Hazama. ;_;

I don't see what's wrong with Celica being an easy to use character. She's even really fighting, as Minevra is really doing all the work. But my guess is that Celica will probably have Carl/Tao health, or even lower. Being a healer with a healing distortion, it wouldn't surprise me if she has 9000 health.

 

She kinda seems like a lighning bruiser based on what I've seen thus far and nothing else. 4 moves doing 2.8K, with the last move doing more than 1K has me believing. Whether or not she'll be easy, hard, or good is up in the air right now.

Loving the positivity from you guys. It'll be a fun character to play as just from a cute animation standpoint alone. I too hope she won't be faceroll like Terumi, so we don't have 5mil of those hanging around online, but I dont think she will appeal to those people.

I hope if I Celica is a character like Terumi people won't pick on me for choosing her as well as Terumi just cuz they're ezpz, I just choose characters cuz I like them or feel like trying them out :<

And for some reason I feel like a lot of people just inherently dislike Celica :(
