I am having so much fun with this game that I may split my (very limited) free time between only it and AH3 -- at least until there's more news on a console release of UNiB. (Thanks for putting CC on my radar, Katz.)

Like I said in my previous post, you may have meant something different (as it seems you have), you need to check your vocabulary. Your last sentence comes off as threatening (key word here is when you used "backlash"). Just check your wording and tone next time please.

The input buffer isn't the only thing that's bugging me about the game, by the way, but I'm not going to clog up this with stupid shit.

Moving on to more important things- Kudlak. I don't think he should be tournament banned from my experience last night. Keep in mind I was playing Rui, so I don't have any experience in this as lower tiered characters. Input anyone?

Honestly...don't you think I would have found a more severe choice of words to threaten you with? But that's fine. You feel how you feel and I can't change that. Onto more pressing matters.

Kudlak and Celia II have boss versions that you can select by pressing L1 after you beat the game for the first time. Those are the ones who should be banned. Why? They have plenty of unblockable attacks. One of them is also an instant kill. Their Chaos Gauge max is 5 instead of 3, and they don't have to spend for what would be EX moves in their playable versions.

Kudlak Sin is balanced. I haven't ranked him, but that's only because he has been released to the public recently. Also...the fact that the Japanese still play the arcade version despite having a brand new character on console just means that I can't properly rank him anytime soon.

I ask that you don't ban Sin. In fact...I strongly encourage people to play him so I can gather more data.

I don't care about the boss versions. I know they're borked. Boss Charas are almost always banned lol.

I was talking about Kudlak-Sin. I'm not going to ban him because he's not in arcade, him being in arcade has no impact on him being tournament legal. I see no reason to ban him at the moment, but I figured I'd take input on the matter.

As of now, i'm not banning him.

Tournament turned into casuals LOL! I felt I was the second best there, there was a guy that was bodying everybody there and I managed to beat him with Vein (Why do I find myself playing the katana characters in every anime game?). After that he proceeded with picking his main (Hikaru) against me and I kept getting close in beating him. Everyone was laughing because of his complaints about Vein, people said I made him salty so I guess I can say:

Mission Accomplished - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The game is fun, pretty easy to pick up, I thought I'd be a Cerberus Main but it didn't work out. I just wish I had time to practice the game and do combos before jumping right into it. We all did a Loc-Test setting after he left and we all enjoyed ourselves. I can't hate on the game, it's fun. A bit slow for my taste but Chaos Code isn't as bad as others have been saying it was.

i am not sure how i feel about the game. it feels like you have to be a lot more proactive in neutral than in gg/bb but maybe that's just "day one play". characters' teleports are really annoying on top of that. i like a lot of elements of the game but im really not sure how i feel overall about it, i think i dislike it but i am not sure exactly why

the neutral game is probably my favorite part about chaos code, just moving around and poking is a lot of fun with any character

celia 2 teleport is pretty busted (as a reversal), idk how to punish that thing but i also haven't training moded it yet either, kagari/vein's tele's i don't have a problem dealing with since they are more offensive and you can just block or mash out or whatever

been trying to figure out how to do good hikaru combos, can't get this down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx9W4e1gBo0#t=1h24m3s

for me it usually drops at 2C 236PP, the 2C does not even link for me most of the time, and i can't tell if it's character specific or not

i found an alternative that is

...2C 6B 623C 236A > 6B sj9.delay 3B > 2A 2C 6B small delay (avoids input overlap) 236PP > 2A etc (not really sure how to continue from here)

but that is also not very reliable for me, trying to see if anyone has been able to do the combo in the vid consistently or a combo that is close/equivalent they can do consistently

I don't play regular Hikaru, but as a general combo tip (if it involves linking a normal), try holding the 2C during whatever is before that, and the 2C will come out on the first frame that your character returns to neutral. If it doesn't work when you do that, then at least you'll know that it's not your link timing that's the issue.

If you wanna punish Celia's teleport, be where's going to be and press buttons there.

She can't do shit about that, not even trade.

We had our first Chaos Code tournament today in our area. Only eight people but it was fun all around. I would love to see it happen again.

iirc you can punish the recovery of her tp, but not many chars can punish double tp backwards.....like vein can do ex tp to catch her not sure about other chars

Punishing double teleport back, you're not gunna get that with most characters.

Well, unless you have something like Celia's unibeam.

But, odds are, you're not gunna teach a Celia's it's bad to teleport xD Because it's so damn good.
