nordentipwel Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Dog, if you block Ragna's Hells Fang's 2nd hit, just do CH 5C 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc JC 236C. What CH is suposed to be ? (sry about n00b question )
Genegrifter Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 What CH is suposed to be ? (sry about n00b question ) CH=Counterhit So Hell's Fang has few enough blockstun frames for you to hit with 5c as a counterhit and combo from there? Or should we be using 5a to counterhit, and then combo into 5cd 6c 214a 2b6c j.c236c?
Sarsapari Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Umm will this do? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayPJZJMUIjE It's a Noel Mirror match ^^'' I hope it's useful. Hey I like your name! It's like what Nanami Madobe is to Nana Mizuki but for Noto Mamiko. You should mash 6C more on 2D, it'll trade but you get a free combo off of it. Also for air to air use jA/jB, jC is for jumping in on people. Once you get used to it, air grab is also viable.
dragontamer Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 CH=Counterhit So Hell's Fang has few enough blockstun frames for you to hit with 5c as a counterhit and combo from there? Or should we be using 5a to counterhit, and then combo into 5cd 6c 214a 2b6c j.c236c? Yup. Hells Fang followup is -24 frames. Other moves to look out for are Dragon Punches (except Litchi, her's is pretty fast), blocked Daifunkas / mirror match Fenrirs, Arakune 2Cs and so forth. Also, the combo can go longer. And a 22C can be placed in there somewhere, but I'm unsure if it is more optimal to do the 22C after the 6C or the full air combo. So here's just the air combo. 5C 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C j.C j.B (jump cancel) j.B j.C j.236C You gotta do it quickly at the end if you don't want a hole, but it is possible.
SuperKawaiiDesu Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Dragon, they can tech out of that IIRC. just jB jC 236C for a 4.5k

Alright, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the help air grabbing helps me loop now
Sarsapari Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I didn't mean air grab mid combo. I meant air grab people jumping in lol.
Namiko105 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 XD I see mis read on my part, it still helps though haha.
dragontamer Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Dragon, they can tech out of that IIRC. just jB jC 236C for a 4.5k Hmm, I must have been confused about another combo. I finally was able to test it out last night, and you're right, it seems as if they can tech out of that one. (Remove the 5C and start with 5D instead, and the full air combo works) Yeah, j.B j.C 236C seems like the optimal combo from that situation.
Runis Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 CH 5C 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jB jC(3) j236C (4506) does more damage than 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jC(3) jB jc jB jC(3) j236C (3823 - CH 5D to start adds about another 100 damage) If you have the opportunity to CH with 5C, just take it as the scaling is better.
dragontamer Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Yeah, but I find CH 5D much easier to do, because of the invincibility frames. 5C CH is better.
Runis Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Yeah, but in a punish scenario - always take CH 5C 5D, If you are CH fishing with 5D, more likely than not you're going to do CH 5D 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jB jC(3) j236C. Cause that also does more damage than CH 5D 6C 214A 2B 6C jc jC(3) jB jc jB jC(3) j236C
Danny Schme Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Alright so I got my hands on a very shitty digital camera and saved the last two ranked matches I've played. I've uploaded these two not because I won or did anything well/flashy - only because they're my two most recent fights. So here they are! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMhojMmcQKM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc0GHcerEgk There are some terrible terrible mistakes in these videos, I've addressed a few of them them in the video description. Let it also be known that Ragnas at a high level terrify me because of their pressure games when they have 50 or more heat so I tend to hit and run if I can. Guide me, wise ones.
Senovit Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Stop using 6D after 6C. It black beats pretty much every time you try it. Use 5D. Nothing wrong with random air supers... doing it too often is pretty bad though as it does nothing but waste meter. Nu can hit you out too, although the one in the video didn't try.

Good call on the 5D. Not sure where I picked up the 6D idea. I got lucky with the Nu as she was still recovering from a whiffed sword if I remember correctly.
NinjaSYXX Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 random air supers is work great especially when you learn how to read your opponent well, but yea, don't break it out too often or else they'll somehow capitalize on your mistake.

This actually happened for the first time the other day. Normally just blocking or jB on the way down can save me from doing this but I've now had a Ragna jump up and DP me :8/:

Yes, 5D CH -> 5D does more damage. But I know my own limits :-p

Danny Schme Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 So I'd like to do this too...except I have no camera...what are my options? since using a digital camera is probably your cheapest option, I'm not sure what else to suggest. Best bet is to just borrow a friends. You don't really need to install programs to import pix or vids from cameras so it'd be good for a one time thing.
Runis Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Do you have a camera phone that you can upload vids to computer? Not exactly pretty, but as long as we get the gist f what's happening, that should be enough to help you.
Senovit Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Set up a player match with someone that has a capture card or a camera and is willing to upload for you.
Axle_the_red Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Also is there any way to upload a video you have already taken?
Danny Schme Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Also is there any way to upload a video you have already taken? Not 100% sure what you mean by this. If its a saved replay - you'll still need another medium to get it onto your computer. If its already on your computer.. well I suppose you wouldn't be asking this cause a normal upload would do.
