  3. very briefly since i'm not going to be home for a week: shoutouts to: -everyone who made this event possible from a technical level (stickbug, stunedge, jp players, big e, kurushii, xie, etc.) -montreal for being all around cool people. especially brice for being so hilariously weeaboo and charming at the same time. his power level is truly too strong -everyone who i actually got to play games with. my biggest regret is that i didn't have more time to play more people -everyone who actually showed up for the weekend and made it hype #NOFUTURE
  4. crush triggers are indeed special attacks. no they are not jump or dash cancelable.
  5. 6C > 6B existed in cs2 iirc... it was removed in extend. or was that from cs1 > cs2?

  9. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19410464 623D combos into 214D, so if you want to save meter, you can do taht instead of going into ice wave sekkajin > D can probably lead to a sideswap combo throw > 214B whiff, j.2C > j.C worked that vaccum on 5B(1) is pretty nuts 214B(1) recovery seems so long... or maybe that's my imagination? does he have more landing recovery after he floats in place after a while? cuz that would be terrible. i know this is a long shot, but does 214B have head invul or anything?
  10. first hit of jin's 5B has a very slight vaccum effect now. also air hit 5B seemed to pull in and down towards jin (instead of pull in and up like in previous games).
  11. pretty sure it's not his astral sprite: it's an unused sprite they had since BBCT. its probably the OD version of yukikaze but who knows, maybe it's the OD version of ice wave or maybe even ice arrow?
  12. i swear i saw a video where jin activated OD and got hit of hte recovery...
  13. i will likely be busy this thanksgiving, so go for it. also, i'm not hosting the week after thanksgiving as well since i will be at NEC as well as the week after that since i will be visiting friends on the east coast
  14. the only two SMPs ive seen on video is carl 8D and platinum's heart car. both of which they could tech out almost immediately. the opponent flashes blue when SMP is triggered. i hope it's not auto tech for all SMPs, but i guess we'll see.

  16. i guess all 3 of those girls now have half naked versions of themselves in the game that's a strange heartbeat monitor thing by her heat gauge... maybe it's a cooldown system where she "overheats" if she spam moves like roboky? she also seems to switch between two modes: normal mode and "gain art" mode. also, from what little i can read, her overdrive is called "freedom justice" lol. 'merica.
  17. now that i think about it, 5D fatal > 214D (1), (run up 5C > j.2C > j.C)x2 might work with this fatal. still not that much damage, but it's cool looking haha.

  19. roa, you left a tarot card at my place. also, i didn't see any link to photoshop cs5 on adobe's website, just cs6. can i just download that? or do you ahve a link to cs5? also, i can't host next friday, parents coming to town.
  20. iirc 623C has SMP, so i'm betting you get 623Cx2 at best and it may be more worht it to go for a different ender instead. or am i mistaken?
  21. imagine extend 5D with fatal. now imagine what you can do with that. probably not much (if anything). 5D > 214D > combo is all i can think of, and even that's not going ot lead to much damage.
  22. 2C being JCable is pretty damn important imo. that's balanced out by 5B and 2B not being JCable on block. wait, 2B wasn't JCable at all in extend. 2C > 6B existed in extend as well when they say crush trigger > 6C, do they mean if crush trigger breaks their guard? because i'd be surprised if that wasn't true. if they mean crush trigger on hit > 6C, then that'd be pretty good. do they mean air hit or ground hit? from the one location test video i saw of jin's crush trigger, it seemed to knock down on air hit and it kinda looked like you could combo afterwards, but maybe not enough for a 6C. 5D fatal... not sure how to use this. unless they allow you to combo off it normally, i'm not sure what it can add. Actually, I don't know what jin can do with fatal so i dunno.
  23. seriously, jin's ok in extend. not as good as he was in cs2, but ok. maximize your damage and learn all your setups and you can do well.
  24. the oceanside fight club is having an event this saturday as well. i will probably be going to that. also, i'll be hosting this friday night again.
