  1. iirc input lag isn't response time. you can test with this site, but you'll need some additional hardware: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/focus.php?subaction=showfull&id=1229335064
  2. the SMP hizansen didn't freeze... how interesting, i didn't know hizansen had SMP... it was also below the freeze count wasn't it?
  3. As long as it's a monitor with less than 1 frame of lag (16ms) i don't think it will be a problem. of course the standard evo monitor is a known quantity to many so that'd likely be the safest bet. i'll add that to the first post
  4. training mode is a useful SUPPLEMENT when learning the neutral game imo. if you find yourself constantly getting hit by an opponent's attack, recreate that situation in training mode as best you can (position and timing) and try out other options against it. beware that this won't teach you how to avoid getting into that situation in the first place! learning neutral game from nothing? first hand experience is the best, but videos are useful too.
  5. I hadn't thought about that since jyosua already has a portable 4g card taht he can use. if we could get a second stream station going that needs a 4g card, then we would ask for donations, but someone would ahve to volunteer step up and bring all the equipment for a stream station first... oh right, i should start a sign up list huh? yes, please bring it! we currently ahve 6 confirmed setups if we include yours.
  6. hah, i SO called that loop!
  7. So I have an extra copy of bbcse... Who's missing a copy? Sent from my phone using Tapatalk
  8. i can give rides if you're near clairemont or ucsd.
  9. to quote myself from the site feedback section:
  10. once again, i believe i have left my ps3 controller at the saltmines... im going to leave it in my bag from now on...
  11. it was intentionally moved under misc games. sadly the skullgirls sections hasn't been getting much traffic and with teh announcement that skullheart will be working as an "official" forum of sorts meant that the sg section on dl wouldn't be getting any revival from the recent patch. as a result we decided to finally move it under misc games and remove teh mods of the sg sections.
  12. i have some business in la this weekend, so i can't carpool to super arcade. also i'm going to have to leave friday early to head up to la. i'll still be there to open the doors, but i might have to give the keys to someone else if ryan isn't there to close shop.
  13. ASW released a version of BBCS on the 3ds as well. it's not impossible that it'd show up on ps4 as either a disc or downloadable title.
  14. pretty nice. my only complain is that the intro took a long time (90 seconds out of a 230 second video!). i assume this is because this is the first video and intended to give an overview of the whole series. assuming that the intro is heavily shortened in future videos, then i have no complaints.
  15. ryan says that he found my controller at saltmines, so that's good. WITCH HUNT OVER glod, i'd like to get a ride from you if possible. however, i might need to go pick up ds... would you be willing to do that? if not, that's fine; i can drive separately
  16. in theory it shouldn't be too bad to run both at the same time since everyone is in pools, we just need enough setups to run stuff in a timely manner.
  17. i think the only difference is taht SMP now triggers a visual effect, otherwise it's the same as the older games (minus the smp glitch i hope!)
  18. i am missing my ps3 controller... buddy do you have it? i don't recall when i lost it, could have happened a few weeks ago i really wanted to play dark space 3 this weekend...
  19. anyone can edit the wiki, even if you don't have an account. just click the edit buttons on the sides of each section or the one at teh top if yo uwant to edit teh whole page. thank you for your work! finding translators has been like herding cats...
  20. you have 623C and D, thought i wouldn't try 623C without 50 meter to RC if they block. you also have counter assault as well. the rest is learning to block. look at your opponent's tendencies: do they always go for an overhead after a specific attack? do they always jump after a specific attack? do they always run back in at a specific spacing? pay attention and learn to predict the opponent's action and beat them up for being predicitable. really, i hate posts like this because it always boils down to the same thing: PAY ATTENTION and learn from your mistakes, record your matches on a cell phone camera if you need to. look at yourself play and look at WHEN you're getting hit and WHY. then try not to do those things and devise strategies or watch videos of other players and see what they do to overcome/avoid the situations you have problems with. this is what we call learning the matchup. this isn't as easy as it sounds: it's difficult to see your own mistakes mid-match, thus why people watch videos of themselves and other players.
  21. is his name Time Killers?
  22. last year at evo, we had problems getting room to run the side tournaments, we also had to get there early each morning (right when they opened the doors) in order to camp our spot. i forget how many setups we had last year, but i think it was around 4? I'd liek to have 6-8 setups on hand in case we are fortunate to have enough space to run them all. Jyosua, won't you need one of your monitors to run the stream?
  23. If this is the sole reason you skipped out... Then it's the worst reason I've ever heard. It wasn't even raining at 7! Sent from my phone using Tapatalk
