  1. i have no idea when i can get my monitor base back from sanoshi, but if we REALLY need a setup, i can take the base from my computer and use it with my asus. i'd rather not do it since it's a hassle, but the option is there.

  3. i'm actually having a hard time figuring out how he makes one crossup vs not-crossup. all i can tell is that the starting distance from the corner is different between the two...

  6. everyone seems good so far. kanji only seemed above everyone else day 1 due to grappler syndrome. this game seems pretty damn fast, aigis short hop overheads is like VS all over again. we'll see how it goes, but if i had to guess, this game is going to end up like hnk where everyone is broken in their own way.
  7. i'm confused... why wouldn't they just go to boxarena stuff on tuesdays (or wednesdays or whenever it is) if they were interested in capcom fighters... what games are they interested in?
  8. or maybe it's like guilty gear where you can't combo into IKs. even still it seems p4arena's IKs have invincibility, so maybe they can be used as DP counters haha
  9. i have a feeling the silly gimmicky instant kills will be easy to avoid, but i'm worried about the IKs you can combo into, such as aigis's since it's basically a touch of death combo for 100 meter which isn't that hard to get in this game due to the free 50 you get for being low on health.

  12. maybe shadow will be the "Unlimited" version of chars for this game. it'd be pretty cool if they had new personas to go with it, tho that's a lot of extra work...

  14. ah yes taht makes sense, they do flash orange when they go into awakening, and hte trap caused the blue life which pushed mitsuru into awakening. okay nm then
  15. http://youtu.be/qUPVg49g2yE?t=1m14s wierd, i think mitsuru does a her DP (she tuns taht orange color), but it doesn't come out, like it canceled into block when naoto's attack touches her. She then DPs a second time (and we see the orange color again) and hits her. Look at mitsuru's blue life, it grows in 2 separate chunks. what's going on here? a bug? something involving awakenings?
  16. check the frame data on the wiki. the general rule is use normal block for air attacks, projectles, and 5As. Use barrier for everything else
  17. some moves can only be barrier blocked while airborne such as Ragna's 5B and 6A. If you barrier block in the air, you shoudl be able to block both so i can only assume you stopped air barrier blocking before you got hit. other attacks can be normal air blocked such as most projectiles, most air attacks, and most char's 5As A few moves can not be air blocked (not even air barrier) at all. The only ones that come to mind are tager's atomic collide, carl's fermata, and tao's pounce super.

  19. sad i missed hte stream oh well. i'm surprised, i didn't see much short hopping or counter assaults in the videos posted (or maybe i'ts just too hard to tell). also it seemed like the "dust" attacks didn't have auto guard through the first active frame? i think i saw one person get hit out of it. naoto's counter stance seemed easily baitable.
  20. yeah, it doens't seem like she has a persona, her portrait doesn't have one unlike every other character in the game. this leads to an interesting question though: if she has no persona, then why does she still have those persona health stocks under her life bar?
  21. kliff and justice were primarily banned to keep parity with arcade versions. this is similar to how soul calibur banned console exclusive chars like link, spawn, etc. if they were allowed they still might have have eventually become soft-banned or hard-banned.
  22. depends what. i'm not picking up porn for anyone. also this is the first vacation i've had in 5 years and i'm paying for it all myself so lucky is a relative term here.
