  3. i didn't do much better, lost to 4th place team, then to 3rd place team. also didn't do very well ovreall imo, so i need to level up somehow. anyways, see you guys friday night hopefully
  4. i had an absolute blast at the event, shoutouts to everyone who came out (especially from outside of socal). and a special set of shoutouts to socal leveling up taking second and third place in teams. commentating with james and cor was super fun as well, and i'm glad i met ppl from out of state. i will be going to NEC this year just to say hi to other parts of the community in person. maybe next year i'll plan a trip to canada haha. edit: also shoutouts to superarcade and level up for hosting us and providing equipment/stream time and being so hospitable

  10. can you get this stuff onto the wiki? i'd like for the wiki to be the place for things like beginner guides since i think it's easier for newbies to read. we can link to it in the forums like we do with guides and frame data.

  12. 6C > 623B might launch them too high for 5C > 6C, but i guess it's worth checking out. someone who's not at work should try it and report back

  14. it's 5058 damage with that ender. also both versions generate 8 heat total after the combo is over, so there really isnt' any reason to do it unless it's too hard or youre too lazy. given that it's like 50 damage difference, i'm tempted to take teh lazier route haha.
  15. someone should list that 5k combo in the combo thread, i'ts actually not too hard (unless you do it on one of hte more finiky characters like valk) 30 meter required: 623D > run up 6C > 623B > 66 6C > 623C > 5B > 5C > 6C > dash cancel 623D, run up 5C > 2C > superjump > j.2C or j.C > j.2C > 214B 5096 damage, 8 heat gained you can replace 5B with 5A, but then you will need 32 heat and the combo does 4897 damage

  19. ok, just went into the lab for testing... according to my research, 6A is +1 on hit test jin v jin: jin 1: 6A > 5B link jin 2: get hit > 5A 5B is 7frame startup, 5A is 6 frame startup result: trade jin 1: 6A > 3C link jin 2: get hit > 2B 3C is 10 frame startup, 2B is 9 frame startup result: trade jin 1: 6A > 5A link jin 2: get hit > 5A 5A is 6 frame startup result: jin 1 wins so unless my execution is failing me (which is possible, i recommend someone else go try it), 6A is +1 on hit.

  24. i'm really indifferent to this mechanic; the example shown was pretty much A > B > C > special > optional super, which isn't rocket science, it's about as generic a combo as you can get in a cancel heavy game. i don't care if taht's all people get "for free". the game should (and better) be interesting enough to have more combo possibilities other than that, otherwise this game is doomed.
  25. autocombo doens't really hurt much imo, assuming it's programmed to do unoptimized combos (likely since this is going to be day 0 stuff only) and doesn't take into account things like counterhit/positon/meter/etc like a human being could.
