  2. it definitely dodges jin's 236A/B/C. I didn't realize this "low profile" thing was a move property, and just assumed it was a hitbox thing. The only other low profile move i can think of is tao's crawling
  3. I suggest you look up some videos in the video section. Yes most are on nico video, but for your purposes, just find the youtube ones and they should help you get an idea of what most people do.

  7. your layout for the bb arcade stick is correct, though they also let you use: B C D A X X your gg layout is slightly wrong. It should be: K S H X P X D X One minor note is that the respect button isn't really standardized across all acarde cabinets, so where you put it is up to you. Some players don't even map the respect buttons when the set up their buttons. I should mention this in the first post... thanks for bringing this to my attention. As for your problems doing the throw whiff combos, all i can say is parctice. In training mode turn on the input reader and see what you're actually inputting when you're doing that combo and figure out what's wrong.
  8. you didn't look hard enough http://www.dustloop.com/ggac/data/comsys.html normal moves cancel into normal moves in GG. Gatling is the name for this fact. In BB i believe it's called Revolver Action, but whatever, people usually refer to them as gatlings.
  9. i''m pretty sure that's not what he's asking... he's asking if numpad notation applise to both arcade controls and console pads. The answer is yes. If you were asking what the numpads mean... well there's your answer. They were also explain in EVERY SINGLE ONE of the links in the first post (except the shoryuken glossary).

  11. Attached is the iconset that we use for forum buttons. I know we don't use all of them, but *shrug* that's what's in the folder. There's obviously more icons that we use than the ones attached, but consider these the start. If you'd like to re-do them, I have the following conditions: 1. make sure they look good in both light and dark skins (so we don't have 5 sets of icons floating around) 2. try to keep the images small (filesize-wise) so we don't burn up the server. These icons would be used for a mobile skin too if we can get away with it if you're still interested, let me know buttons.zip

  13. - I'll change the ps3 tab label later if i can find hte right settings - I prefer the user cp up near where it says Welcome ____ since it makes more sense to put all account-related links together. I'll probably change the size and color of it to be more visible later. - Those buttons are still red because they're all images and i would need to make new ones (or have someone else make them for me), whereas all the other changes are essentially css and php. I'll be changing the buttons eventually, though if someone can make an acceptable button set, it'd save me some time.
  14. Mention air teching (and ground teching too) and the tech traps you can do with it. Simplest example I can think of is tager atomic collider vs airborne magnetized opponents also, great idea btw, thread stickied. I'm slightly renaming this thread. Please post up whenever you write part 2,3,etc.
  15. j.214C can combo without the opponent being frozen, it just depends on what combo you do. Typically, it can't go on for too many hits or else they can tech out of it.
  16. i think wcw did what they could (minus hte missing jamma cable buisness) and their intentions were well placed. Good job. BB community needs to level up their game, but i guess that's what console is for.

  18. afaik all money matches are gentlemen's agreements... never heard of any paperwork ever getting signed in the past, even for stuff like the justin v sanford money match which was in the thousands of dollars too

  22. yes that's what i meant by "dash after the 623C". you need to time the 66 right after 623C ends, otherwise the 5B will miss. However, running 5B might throw people off at first too... need to remember to move the stick back to 5 (or even 4) so you don't get a 6B on accident.
  23. it's hard to do teh dash after the 623C, but keep practicing. if you're lazy, you can do 623A after a counter hit 623C, even though it gives you less damage + worse positioning. So if you're desperate to do something after CH 623C for now, do 623A, but you best learn the real combo or you'll be worse off in the long term.

  25. i have no opinion on mu-12. as for 360... this may be a problem... depends if they fixed that bug that was in the BB:CT 360 version. This version didn't have the scaling option where it cut off teh edges of the screen in 4:3 so it was possible for attacks to come offscreen that normally would appear at the edge of the screen. This was a problem for v-13 (v-11) users since their 4D attack would effectively come from offscreen. hopefully taht explanation made sense.
