  1. This game is tsun. GGs people.
  2. BBCP is a good game (legit). Play it or die.
  3. Quickly made-up some corner lobelia loop combo.. In corner: 5B > 5CDC > [5B > j.C > j.236A > 2D] x 2 5B > 6A > 236A > dash 6A > BBL
  4. In videos I usually see the j.236A loop start off of 5CC wallstick. I'm still at work so I can't state any specifics yet as I've yet to practice the loop myself. My current notes for a particular corner setup has: 5B > 5CC > 6A > 5A > 6A > 236A > 6A > 4B > 3C > frog (do some mix-up here... if frog hits then go with) 5CC > dash 5B > 6A > A Lobelia > 5B > 6A > 4B > dash 6A > Baden-Baden Lily
  5. If all else fails just look at the tech meter (the green bar that pops up in training mode) to learn the combo. It helped me adjust timings / heights just by considering how much hitstun was left at certain points in a combo.
  6. Reading those problems... it sounds like you are not hitting 5B > 6A deep enough (dash in really deep then do 5B > 6A). The height at which you hit 5B matters since it sets up the eventual A cannon which should hit as late as possible while still juggling the opponent. The timing gets easier once you find the sweet spot.
  7. It does, you have to do the 6A after 5D to make them pop upward. Example from one of the Challenge mode combos: 2B > 5B > 5D > 6A > ... If you do the 6A too fast they will not launch.
  8. @TD Yeah your second point is what I was getting at. I guess freeform isn't the right word. It's more like the faster pace of CP makes it more obvious what you should and shouldn't be doing in the match-up compared to previous games. I guess zoning is more "demanding" than before? Not sure how to phrase this lol but yeah I think you get it. I'm going to be making a room this evening around 6 PM CST. Help me play Rachel better and vice versa. EDIT: Once enough people get going with BBCP we can start on the match-up threads
  9. I actually think this is as far away as she has been from any of her previous incarnations. Mostly because of engine change but yeah just some things I notice as I am playing her: - Ground game is more heavily weighted (bnb change) - hitstop + push back on CH lobelia harder to convert - 2C is nearly useless - BBL isn't as easy to combo into. - Zoning isn't as "freeform" as it was in previous versions. Compared to her previous self these are pretty major shifts in her playstyle. But. I will say that she is still the same momentum based character we all know and love :V Knock em down... get em in the corner... set up shop.
  10. Challenge Mode is actually really really useful for practicing bnbs. They have everything from midscreen basics to corner OD combos.
  11. This sounds silly but if you are dropping a combo while practicing it... chances are you missed 6A. There are so many 6A's in the combos now lol :3 @TD Awesome. I'm going to mess with midscreen stuff some more.
  12. I just go with what works (while understanding why it does).
  13. Download complete. >Proceeds to play IIDX
  14. Practiced her bnbs and such already. Throw muscle memory out the window and get ready to learn some new timings! You don't have all day to hitconfirm now so make sure you know your combo routes. They set the default training mode options to have the dummy tech and stuff now it's soooo nice.
  15. I've got a head-to-head setup ready to go but need to take a few days to learn my stuff (1P mode material) before I can grind out match-ups with other.
  16. @woki: YES! We shall grind out the match-ups.
  17. ggs last night. Akihiko is a tough match-up for me still.
  18. Which Hakumen? Did he use j.B?
  19. Let's all mash BBCP in a few days:toot:
  20. Let's mash!
  21. GGs Grendy lmao
  22. let's mash in BBCP! I have an upgraded connection now and have gotten over the limitations of netplay for learning :3
