  1. No question... Kokonoe easily wins this match-up. What can you do against a character that has nearly the same tools as you + more? That ft 10 with Tsujikawa x N-O should speak for itself

  3. Interesting. So this is just the behavior of certain projectiles during superflash for ASW. I remember back in CS1 or something you could spam Barrier during superflash and it would cause the game to slowdown. It's easier to do during Makoto Big Bang Smash.
  4. You can keep Azrael away with Graviton. A safe way to do this is to superjump and plant a Graviton somewhere then do j.236D and watch the result (this will either blow Azrael back to fullscreen, make him block, or eat the Graviton detonation. Growler counters your projectiles but he has to commit to it so play with that.

  9. Yeah. Gotta lower expectations in the lobby system. Player Matches are where it's at for a more controlled environment. Although why they did away with counting win/loss in player matches is a shame. I guess it isn't too much trouble to keep a manual count if you are doing a ft5/ft10

  11. Oh didn't know. Also forgot to add that I haven't found a Hakumen's answer to random Lotus Bats.
  12. I played this matchup a bit last night. Hakumen dominates Rachel in neutral for the most part. I had a hard time getting in without pumpkin or frog since Hakumen can mostly just react to her winded approaches. With pumpkin out she can threaten safely and can approach a little more freely. With frog out she is mostly using it as a distraction as a means to get in. Kishuu is your answer to both of these I think. It can also catch Rachel backdash if you can make that read. Frog okizeme now works on Hakumen so if you attempt to counter frog on wakeup you will most likely get baited if the Rachel is aware of the change. Hakumen can approach air-to-ground rather easily. With Agito you can hover above Rachel and then do a falling j.B without much hesitation. 6A loses to j.B a lot (j.B THE GOD). For the most part Rachel wants to zone you out and wait for you to make a mistake. Overall this matchup is a battle of patience. Luckily, Hakumen benefits from waiting :P

  14. Tested it out. Reversal OD his command grab is legit :3 You can punish with a 5C fatal combo.
  15. You have to activate OD before the Lobelia hits. Note that this means you do not do a cancel OD. The Lobelia should fall as the OD time stop happens.

  17. You will want to sit back this match-up. At midrange her normals are better than yours for the most part. On oki watch out for reversal DD. On defense be wary of her instant overheads (her forward dash is Morrigan / I-No / Aigis style)
  18. Thankfully you can react to 2D now. Other than that this matchup feels the same.

    [CP] Rachel vs. Jin

    Jin is just a solid character overall. All you can do is play solid yourself. Try not to pigeonhole yourself into a static playstyle against Jin. The only sure answers I have are all basics. Wait for overhead. Make him commit to reversals. Catch him trying to zone with swords, etc.

  21. Terumi is an annoying matchup. I've resorted to getting my damage through whiff punishing via push blocking. Sometimes if you have a solid enough defense, your opponent will try to throw you via normal or command grab. You can up-back both options then wind downward for a punish combo. Good luck.
  22. If you can shoot a lobelia and then activate OD before the lobelia hits... the OD will stop time but the lobelia will still move and it causes hilarity on a crouching opponent. Similarly, Yukiko could throw a fan then Maragidyne. Fan will still travel and can force an opponent to block.
  23. Guys.... we have legit taunt combos. 8D combos are new hotness. Lobelia + OD is the new Maragidyne trick heh
