  1. The way I wanted to use it was to Lumen Stella after [2]8B (while you're falling down to the ground, you know, the usual thing) and just get in faster. I've played some Akatsukis who love to just shoot the Stella down with their fireball, and it might be possible to punish them for it if you jump over it like that (haven't tested that yet, though). EDIT: Seems like you can't do that after Flash Kick. Maybe because you don't actually jump, so you don't get any forward momentum?
  2. Potemkin got so many more tools than Tager to fight those characters, and even then, Tager does not automatically lose those match-ups.
  3. Forgetting about Bedman or something? Neither of the Murakumos are top-tier good in CP, so I wouldn't be too worried about that.

  7. And here I was, thinking that giving ERUERUFU a cool gunner fighting style would calm down the haters. Anyways, seems like she switches between the rifle and the shotgun for two different fighting styles? Xrd sure has a lot of these "Fight comfortably at any range" types lately.
  8. Apparently, rather than spinning the stick for extra throw hits, you can simply hold 4 or 6. Gotta make reacting to throw techs much easier.
  9. A random thing I noticed is that sometimes, after Vatista shoots the aerial Lumen Stella, she jumps forwards rather than backwards. Unfortunately, I couldn't replicate it in training mode, so now I wonder if it's a bug or something you actually can do reliably (I'd love to). Anyone else experienced anything like that?

  11. Shouldn't the game only load the voice tracks of two selected characters rather than all of them (meaning that they're in the separate files)? If that is the case, then the separate language selection is just a matter of simple variables.
  12. Very, very slowly. I'm afraid there's no better way to put it, since most of her moves do nothing on him. Make sure to learn all of his patterns and react to them (watch Imperator's aura, it changes colors according to the incoming attack). It's possible to beat him without receiving a single bit of damage if you're smart about it, though it might require a bit of luck.

  14. It's true that Bullet has other ways to spend Heat, but there aren't that many of those. It goes something like this: - Get extra Heat-Up level (on H0) - Convert random mid-screen Drive hit into damage (usually on H1-2, since H0 isn't that rewarding) - Rage Aggressor as combo finisher (can be done both on H1 and H2) - RC blocked DP lol - 720 (can be done at all Heat-Up levels, gets extra-tasty on H2). Now, the main reason why you want to have as much Heat-Up as possible is to turn Bullet's poor neutral game into a slightly better one, and that's important in BB. However, it doesn't solve Bullet's other problem: that is, her simple and gimmicky mix-up game. Having the option to command grab is a godsend for her, especially since it brings the opponent straight into the corner. If you manage to land some hits, then yeah, go ahead and get more Heat-Up, but if you have problems with that, it just makes sense to spend it on a command throw (not like you have any better options before hitting them, anyways).

  16. Last time we had a 2.0 expansion, it was a patch rather than a separate disc. I don't think Bullet is relevant here, unless we're discussing DD throws or you consider Miquelet a command throw (it isn't). Also, 720 is not that difficult to abuse with her: you have a forward dash (unlike Tager), a Drive cancel, 2B and 5C as buffers, and probably some more things I'm forgetting right now. On the other hand, she also needs more resources for it to deal damage, but even without it, the reward is good enough to be a threat. Speaking of which, I wonder why it's always the Tsubaki players who bring up their character in balance discussions rather than the Bullet/Makoto ones.

I picked up Vatista mostly because I didn't put enough thought in my Merkava play (sounds like a recipe for success, right?), and it does feel that she needs a whole lot of thought at all times. Like, I feel bad whenever I realize that I'm not holding any buttons - and then I hold them too late to do what I wanted to do. I also hold recovery to tech, so when I do tech and release the button, I make a crystal and leave myself wide open. Still, I enjoy learning her ins and outs, the combos feel like a puzzle with multiple layers, hiding the charges in ways you don't realize right away while reading the transcripts. And then there's the fact that I'm a pad warrior, so I haven't even tried performing the crystal combos. I'll try to end this rant with a concrete question: is it fine if I don't hold any buttons while going on the offensive with things like Assault or 5C? It feels like all combos are made in such a way that you don't have to hold anything until the hit-confirm.
  18. It's just that I don't have much experience playing as her, either, so if you don't mind using me as a punching bag, I might go for it next time.
  19. It happens to the best of us, don't worry. Found a nice room with more good connections today, even had a newbie I could test my Vatista against. GGs if anyone from there is around.

  21. Guys (and gals), please note that her reversal is not a suplex, but a piledriver. I should know, I play grapplers. EDIT: Or even an Inazuma drop, even though she's not a ninja.
  22. Maining Magicarp on day 1. Wait, I don't even have a WiiU. Maybe if they're going to include more than one pokemon I care about (i.e., someone other than Blaziken).
  23. I've started learning Vatista yesterday, and I can already say that our 5C is actually faster than his. Not by much, yeah, but if you mash C at start of round, it should beat his.

  25. GGs to Krieg and some other random Ranked people, I kinda walked in there just to look for my local peeps, and before I know it, I'm itching for more matches Also nice to see someone with connection other than 0.
