  1. Here we go. I tried to preserve all the references, but some of them just won't be caught by anyone outside of Japan, so I skipped those. I also assume that the last two trophies (clear 20 challenges and use all DDs) are to be completed with Terumi, but it's not mentioned in the conditions. And I have no idea how the ranking works, so excuse me for the sloppy translation of the second Network trophy. 2. Okay, I'm on it. By the way, that compiled artwork is hella cool, but it could be of better quality if you click on each achievement and use the image on the achievement's page. This instead of this, basically.
  3. Nothing yet, probably because I also ordered the 25th anniversary artbook. And it's even called, "Oh, it's just Hakumen", heh. Do we need a translation of the trophy list, by the way?
  4. Yeah, the combo thread is the one that needs the greatest amount of work right now, I think. Even then, we can't really come up with brand-new combos until the console release, so all we can do right now is separate the optimal combos found in combo videos from the rest. I'm actually a fan of the "Keep these combo elements in mind and make your own combos out of them" approach (that was used in Koopa's Tager guide, for example), but since the BBCP combo system is different from CS, writing down full combos might be more useful for now.
  5. These matches would've been so much better if they all didn't end with both players going "Okay, who's supposed to win in this round? What do you mean, you don't know? Uhh, let's just throw some specials at each other then".
  6. We now: http://i.imgur.com/Rh30vbO.jpg Also, if anyone still cares about this, the devs had an interview on SRK back in September, and they plan to release the game in early 2014: http://shoryuken.com/2013/08/29/interview-behind-the-scenes-with-league-of-fighters-dev-instaburst/
  7. The problem is, it's not made for the fans only, it's just that they're doing a pretty bad job at adapting the plot for the newcomers. Like I've been saying, Mori mentioned at TGS that the plot is going to make more sense than the game to those who haven't played it, but apparently, he and the rest of the world have different definitions of "make more sense"
  8. While you're at it, why do we need separate pastebins for all supports? Isn't it better to keep them all in a single file?

  10. Only on Dustloop can people blame the animation for being good - how dare they spend this valuable resource on a character no one likes! Yeah, I don't think we'd get any more decent animation even if the Bolverk summoning scene was out. Yeah, it's a perfect opportunity for obvious jokes, but listing it as the episode's downside is just silly.
  11. The second episode did indeed finish with CT (Haku vs Ragna, Nu vs Noel, Ragna vs Nu). To no one's surprise, Noel summoning her guns looks better than the rest of the show so far, even if the actual fight consisted of her zoning Nu with gunshots. But really, it looked slightly better than last time, even if there are still random people appearing out of nowhere and the OP is still a badly made AMV.
  12. At least they won't know about it. Ignorance is bliss and all that jazz.
  13. vs Carl: BBCP 10/11/2013 Tachikawa 3on3 Part 7/7 [Merry / Meri] vs Makoto: BBCP 10/11/2013 Tachikawa 3on3 Part 7/7 [Merry / Meri] vs Ragna: BBCP 10/13/2013 Bravers Rebel 2on2 - Last Chance Qualifier [0] vs Valkenhayn: BBCP 10/11/2013 Tachikawa 3on3 Part 3/7 [Merry / Meri]
  14. Well, Misaka is only supposed to have super-armor on her asphalt sword move and the ground lightning stomp. Having the exact video with a timestamp would help figuring out the case. Someone on 2ch finally asked about Shana's Trump Card, and it apparently increases the untechable time of her attacks. That sounds plenty strong alright.
  15. I dunno, JoJo is a simple enough game to not take too much time from BBCP. Maybe it's just me maining combo-light characters, but I don't really have to spend too much time in the lab, just having one meet-up every 2-4 weeks is enough to scratch my JoJo itch and have a good time.
  16. You've got that wrong. The lightning icons are spent on Trump Cards, yes, but they can serve many different purposes (turn on modes for Shana and KYH, perform a throw with Kirino, etc.). Guard point reversals are called Impact Skills and cost nothing (maybe some health turns grey, P4U-style? At least that's the case for catch reversals). As for the RCs, the game doesn't have a proper mechanic similar to that, but it has Support cancels (summon a Support mid-combo for 1 gauge), Combo Blasts (One More Burst from P4U) and maybe some of the Trump Cards (Shana's, I suppose?).
  17. Honestly, with two fighting game series behind them by now, I'd think they'd get the hang of this whole "New franchise" deal. And since they've started the loketests so early, they are probably very conscious of potential slip-ups.
  18. We got an article similar to the last one that covers Shizuo and KYH: http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/000/731/731882/index-2.html It doesn't say anything about Shizuo that we couldn't see on the stream, but it does say that KYH is built around her Trump Card, that changes her modes. Red mode improves the range of her specials, Blue mode improves the number of hits they do, and Green mode improves her defense. So yeah, it works just like Accel World's color wheel (even if KYH isn't supposed to change her color). They also list some recommended character combinations (Shana + Leafa, Kirino + Vilhelmina, Misaka + Haruyuki). Personally, I found Shana to be the most powerful character and Touma to be the best Support so far, so I wonder how people are going to beat their team. It's already guaranteed, but they're still silent on the exact platform (it's probably PS3, but still).
  19. I dunno, it feels to me like Shizuo and KYH were the least popular characters of the day. It doesn't help that KYH seems underpowered so far, though it might be because no one has any idea how to use her. Also, I don't really like how even the Lv.2 supers take less than 1/5 of a health bar, so Time Ups are so frequent. Maybe it's because of all the Potentials happening left and right, but it feels like they should buff the damage a notch.
  20. Some Trump Cards seem to be a buff rather than a single attack, so the gauge shows its duration. The only characters to have it are Shana (who doesn't actually stop time, so I have no idea what it does) and KYH (who changes colors, which doesn't make any sense in Accel World's context at all).
  21. Well he has both a dash and a double-jump, which is already an accomplishment (though he's not really a grappler, so that was to be expected?). The divekick is honestly enough to make an impression of a lightning bruiser, I suppose, though it's hard to judge how punishable it is. Oh, and he also has a door-ram move that seems to be a decent gap-closer. Too bad that the game has stage BGMs, I wanted Shizuo to have his anime theme. Someone finally picked a Kuroneko assist: it seems to have the longest recharge time so far, and you can interrupt its long start-up by hitting the enemy character. But yeah, it covers lots of space and would fit nicely for zoning characters (Biribiri doesn't really seem to be one). It might be a good fit for Neito when/if they add her.
  22. I suppose Haru's Extra factor comes from the fact that he tracks the opponent (and maybe you can hold off his attack for some time?). Celty is a straightforward Attack-Support: she jumps down on her bike and rides it to the edge of the screen behind her. And Shizuo has hella good mobility for someone so heavy-hitting. EDIT: Impact Skills have the same gray health business going on about them as in P4U. Makes sense, I suppose.
  23. People seem to be all over that Silver Crow assist: he basically performs an ultra-fast version of Leona's V move. And he's considered Extra-Support for some reason. Is it just me, or the Support properties change when you meter-burn them in combos? Maybe Extra-Supports perform a whole new attack when you do or something. EDIT: Man, all these people noticing things already pointed out in the translations
  24. Some of these are less informative than Xie's reports in the OP, but I'll keep them in just in case. - Shana has two specials: a projectile and a circular attack with the sword (both can be performed in mid-air). Her Impact Skill can be used both in combos and as a counter-attack. Her Trump Card makes her form a Fuzetsu that basically stops time. Her first Climax Arts makes her rise upwards, then fall diagonally downwards (Winger anyone?). Her second Climax Arts makes her wrap her sword in flame and perform a long combo. - Wilhelmina has some tracking properties on her attack. It takes a while to use her again, so you can't really spam her. - Misaka can improve the range of her electrical attacks by holding down the button. Her crouching Impact Skill has great range, while her standing one is better fit for close-ranged battles. Her Trump Card makes her kick a vending machine and blow the enemy away with an overhead strike. Her first special is a simple long-ranged lightning bolt, while her other special makes her attract rubble and toss it at the enemy while moving in mid-air. Her Climax Arts are her coin railgun toss and a simple auto-combo super. - Touma stops the enemy's attack and blows them away if he is hit, even if the enemy tries to use Climax Arts on him. He also recovers faster than the rest of the Support characters. - Asuna's neutral Impact Skill makes her dash forward with a rapier thrust. Her crouching one, on the other hand, makes her jump and quickly dive diagonally downwards at a steep angle. Her Trump Card makes her perform an uppercut after a short wind-up. Her first special is a couple of fast stabs that comes out pretty fast and deals lots of hits. Her other special makes her jump backwards and perform a follow-up move depending on the button you press. If you hold the button down, she performs a feint instead. Lastly, her third special is a mid-air rush that holds her aerial combos together. Both her supers can be used in combos and come out pretty fast, one of them being a quick auto-combo from the trailer. - Leafa blows the enemy away with her wind attack, so it's important to keep your position in mind if you want to use her in a combo. She recovers fast enough so you can throw her out in neutral as a poke and in combos to deal some extra damage. - Kirino might be the most technical character so far: since her range is short, you have to depend on her tricks and Support characters to get in. Her neutral Impact Skill is a multi-hit attack, while her crouching one is an anti-air move with a tall hitbox. Her Trump Card makes her mount the enemy and slap them: even though there's a limited amount of these, you kinda want to use it as often as possible. Her first special makes her perform a rushdown attack, a slide or a jumping kick depending on the button pressed. The C version can also serve as a mobility tool in a pinch. The second special makes Kirino throw random stuff at various arcs that stays on the screen. You can hold the button down to keep on throwing. The third special makes her throw a beach ball in mid-air: since you can't act until you land, you have to be careful about when to use it. Her first Climax Arts makes her perform a dance in various cosplay outfits, and her second one is the crane game from the trailer: if the enemy doesn't dodge the crane, they receive lots of damage. - Kuroneko appears in front of your character and strikes a chuuni pose, making roses appear around her. Since the roses make lots of petals that all deal damage, the range of this attack is deceptively wide.
  25. It's probably something like that, yeah. Basically, when everyone has guard-point specials, there is little need for the proper DPs. I'll check the article in a minute. The way it was worded made it sound like lag: "Some time passes between you pressing a button and the character performing a move, which sometimes makes it difficult to perform specials". And I suppose the difference between Attack and Extra supports is in the extra effects that come with the attack (Wilhelmina stuns the enemy, for example)?
