  1. this guy needs to be sponsored
  2. Don't super jump after the second 5C. Just regular jump.
  3. I use advanced input all the time and I rarely drop my combos :v
  4. Advanced input is only for BB :I
  5. If you're having troubles with inputs on your controller, perhaps consider investing some money on buying an arcade stick.
  6. Better throw combo: corner B+C - 5C - 5D(1) - dead spike - 5C - sjc j.C - j.D - belial edge - 5D - inferno divider - cross under 3C - hell's fang/22C To make the cross under 3C easier, you can omit the dash before 5D after the Belial Edge and use C Inferno Divider instead. What will happen is that the first hit of ID will whiff and the second hit will land, leaving the opponent at an optimal height so that they won't be able to tech until they reach the ground. You can of course use D Inferno Divider (1) but unless you understand how the system works I'd suggest staying with the former method. I also noticed you have Xbox Live.
  7. Actually Tager can trump most of your approaches provided the player knows the matchup. He can use 2C, 623C or backdash on any jump ins you do, and he can use backdash 360A for any openings that you leave in your pressure (and by the way, Ragna has a lot). Tager's backdash may not be the best tool to get out of situations, but for what it's worth it works really well against Ragna's tools. The only thing Tager can't do anything about is footsies, that is, until he gets Spark Bolt. Don't be afraid to use that, and if one of those footsies hit, you can confirm into a Hell's Fang for a tiny bit of oki. You can use j.C every time on his wakeup, but eventually the Tager player will find a way out of the pressure that you follow afterwards. There is no situation in fighting games where one solution will always work. Tager players can backdash after their wakeup and that would force your j.C to whiff. When that happens, you're pretty much eating a free command grab. Ragna's overhead is terrible by the way. It'll only work to someone who can't block.
  8. I don't think lack of midscreen game is important.
  9. what about midscreen game
  10. If you're cheesing the opponent and you're winning, then that's not something you need to worry about. Sure, cheesing the opponent may not be the best way to play a fighting game, but if it's working, then you might as well use it for as long as it works. You only need to worry about how you play if you're losing. Then you can go figure out new things to replace cheesing your opponent and increase your chances of winning.
  11. Dead Spike's range is a little wonky, so I wouldn't be surprised if that did work.
  12. Who the fuck cares if you use the challenge mode combos? Do whatever you need to do to win. If your opponent lost, then he's made more bad choices or made more screwups than you, and you shouldn't have to feel sorry about that. This is especially evident with a character like Ragna who has to stick to his core mechanics to play efficiently and well. In other words, you can't complain that you got cheesed out if you lost to Ragna, given how terrible his gameplay is. If he's complaining about how you use an optimal and practical BnB such as, for example, B > C > Hell's Fang, then tell him to go suck a dick. Everyone uses it and they're not ashamed about the level of difficulty that the combo requires, as long as it works.
  13. If you can IB the first 5C, that's an automatic safe ID punish right there. As for the second 5C, if you can react to either a 6B or a 2C after it, then you can definitely react using an ID as well. They're not that quick, so it's all within viability. Just watch for her Asteroid Vision. That can fuck up your input.
  14. quite a burn to the self-image there won't you say
  15. I sincerely hope that Blazblue is not on Sunday; otherwise I gotta prepare to waste a ton of money for gas.
  16. 5D(1) is pretty much required in that combo since the hitboxes and timing don't mix all the time.
  17. You guys reaaaallly need a Ragna main in your scene. Just saying.
  18. shoutouts to everyone i met and already forgot me
  19. Just wait till you get blown up by her 20 frame overhead. If you space her DP correctly, the DP's startup then becomes 13 frames in which you can actually throw out a meaty 2A without getting countered.
  20. You can also plink 2A~B. (or even 2A~C~B)

  22. > mixup thread on ragna > ragna has terrible mixup options :|
  23. Too bad in most cases Tsubakis would spam 623A/D and most of the time it would work In theory it shouldn't work but it's happened to me so many goddamn times I'm starting to not believe myself
