While 6B and 6A nerfs are questionable, let's not forget that CT/CS1 Ragna needed those strings, specially considering that his A's moves were minus on block and 2D mad unsafe. Moreover, he ran out of range way sooner and easily than now since you couldn't reverse strings. IB being -5 could also reveal many gaps in his strings. Things are just different, he's got new tools for pressure like DS DC for example, and his defence is still good as ever. You just gotta commit for good rewards now.

I usually blue burst after awakening and having tons of meter, but only if I'm in a really tight spot. If I spend all of my resources, I risk a Gold Burst on wakeup, or after IAD crossup.

I think the retconned the fact that he killed many NOL soldiers. Hazama even said that most were badly beaten and couldn't compete in beauty pageants anymore.

Well, it's not like they decided to nerf his pressure or anything, it's just because his strings are intrinsically linked to his combos, and they wanted to get rid off stupid combos anyway. Same deal with the loss of Dash cancels on CP. Then they try to make up for it by adding new properties to moves, but in the end his blockstrings stay limited. Unless they implement something like on-block only cancels, can't see him getting back pre-CS2 material.

Unless you mess up badly against Tager, who can pretty much destroy you before the burst is avaiable.

Yes, if you execute BS at certain ranges it becomes very awkward to Anti Air and even block right sometimes.
