  1. |That review is bullcrap. The game is decent and except for not being able to use a control, it is definitevely NOT garbage. The graphics are fantastic imo. Download and play yourselves people.
  2. Hell's Fang is trashy. Use 2D instead whenever you can. 5D(1) is also a must in this case.
  3. Alright, it's calculed in some weird manner. Deadspike -28f startup, hits on last frame. -Level 4 move, 18 blockstun. -Active 12 frames, and total 54F(I assume it counts the previous stuff, startup and active). So the "true" recovery is 14F. I think Ragna recovers as soon the first active frame hits, meaning he doesnt need to go through the Active ones, I think... Reinforced by: "attack disappears upon being hit" 18f(blck)-14(rcvery) = +4f adv. To become +3, I think Ragna uses an extra frame to cancel de active frames. Thats how I think it was calculated. Edit: Stuff's half wrong, sorry. Correctly stated here
  4. A color edit DLC would be MUCH better than predefined palletes. Hell, I would even pay 15 bucks for it. Much more profittable.
  5. Excellent gameplay. Your pick ups were great, every confirm was well-executed and most combos werent dropped at all. Props to blocking dat Polestrip.
  6. Dont be afraid of his overhead. Often, it comes in these forms: 2B>6B 2C>6B 5A/2A>6B Those can be beaten CLEANLY by very nasty starters, like 5C and 5B.If it comes from 2C however, use the standard jabs. Just dont mash on these moves, Ragna can ocasionally throw in frametraps, like 2A>2C, 2C>5D, 2B>5D. Again, dont also expect traps in every string, watch for the mithical Deadspike.
  7. Why #Reload... There's a better way to play GGAC, for both training and offline(Use that cute fish that sprinkles water from the hole on its head) Anyway, good luck with this.

  9. What is this? From internet: "A frame trap is a sequence of moves where the first move's frame advantage (or disadvantage) plus the startup frames (not counting the first active frame) for the follow-up move creates a window (the frame trap) where the opponent, even if they perform a move to react, will be stuffed (or even counterhit) because the active frames of their move will not come out before the active frames of the second move of the frame trap." Thats the general concept for most, if not all, fighting games. I shall not waste time, I will put these for leechers who just want to memorize and spam online. These are all grounded, stringed traps for Ragna. 1 Frame traps 5A/2A> 2C, 3C 5B/2C> 5D 2 Frame traps 5A/2A> 5C 5A> 6A 2B > Hell's Fang 5B/2C> 2D 3 Frame traps N/A 4 Frame traps 5A/2A> Hell's Fang 2B> 5D 2C> 6C 5C/6B/6C> 6D(BK) 1~4 frame gaps are preffered, since within this range 99% of 5A/2As will lose to these. Its perfect for people who like to mash jabs in pressure, these will cut them off right away. Explanation(boring stuff) Using the gdlk framedata I could find these precise values.Taking as an example 2A 2C 2A is a level 1 move, that results in 11 blockstun frames. Instant Blocking is not taken in account, for awhile. 2C has 12 startup frames, meaning it hits in the 12th one. This means, the opponent is free to do anything as soon 2A's blockstun ends, but at same time, he's going to be hit on the same frame. Blockstun(first move) - Startup = Frame Advantage 11 - 12 = -1 Frame Adv. Actually, a disvantage. By finding Attack Levels, and their respective blockstuns, and startups for all moves in Ragna's framedata it is possible to obtain every Frame Adv. in strings and ,at same time, the fabled Frametraps. Level 1 / 11 Blockstun 5A, 2A, j.A, Level 2 / 13 Blockstun 2B, j.B Level 3 / 16 Blockstun 5B, 2C, 6A, j.C, j.D Level 4 / 18 Blockstun 5C, 6B, 6C, 3C, 5D(1), All Special moves Level 5 / 20 Blockstun 5D(2), 2D, 6D, Black Onslaught Remember that we need 1~4 frames gaps, this can be done by finding moves with, 12~15, 14~17, 17~20, 19~22, 21~24 Startup frames for their respective level moves. Which are: 12~15: 5C, 2C, 6A, 3C, Hell's Fang 14~17: 5D, Hell's Fang 17~20: 6C, 5D, 2D, Gauntlet Hades 19~22: 6C, 6D(BK), Gauntlet Hades 21~24: 6B, 6D(BK) Crossed this values blablabla and found the said traps. But that's not it, traps are not limited to Gattling/Special Cancels. Some moves like Deadspike leave you at +3 frame advantage. You can do your stuff before your opponent, frame traps are however all about apparent disvantage... Something can be done, as stated by LuminAbyss: Originally posted in... I believe this was posted with pressure in mind, but should work as a trap as well. Remember, even 1 frame graps CAN be punished by many many things. IB'ed stuff is seriously dangerous to you, however I would like to mention gdlk 2A 2C. It is hard to reversal from and 2C recovers fast enough to save you from most reversals, not to mention, if the opponent messes up he will get Fatal Countered. 2A is very hard to IB if used correctly. Remember, 2A 2C is just too good, both as a frametrap and combo starter. Notes -Tight and safe strings like 5B 5C can be delayed to create a gap. -Not every "fishing" results in Counter, watch for it. -Some IB'ed stuff will become a trap, that previously wasnt. -If you wish to test or figure out more strings, set the Training Dummy to Block only the First hit For awhile, I think it's better to not talk about what can punish those gaps, just too many too mention here. That's it
  10. Alright, got back to CS stuff... re-starting with gigantic Tager. To do: Valkenhayn Nu Litchi(Wip/Missing) Bang(Missing) Rachel Platinum Relius?
  11. No Kaqn AT ALL :baaawwwbunny:
  12. Means he will just get you after a blocked 5C, either during its recovery or canceling into something else other than probably ID. It takes longer to cancel into something else. Also, dont freaking use xx blockstring xxx 6A on a good Tager, it is just too predicable whats coming next after.
  13. Just pick Haku. He won Evo.
  14. Nice work man, I really love this novel. Seems like we're halfway throught it.
  15. I dont get you people, there's no real question to why LK lost do Spark's Haku. Spark was the better player and outplayed everyone. Almost nothing to do with tiers.

  17. Do anyone else think its way too early for this? They even revamped the HUD, probably this is gonna be a major update. So, no patch.
  18. Lets for a moment, stop talking about ourselves and analyze what the opponent can do against us. I dont have much in mind, but heres a brotip. Never end your strings with 6A, it will be blatantly obvious to him what happens next; Either jump cancel or special cancel, and I believe everyone has a consistent way to punish both. I had to learn this the hard way against a semi-psychic Tager.
  19. Yeha you're right, it was actually buffed. Got mistaken with j.D My bad.
  20. Hmm, assuming they're magnetized of course. Wouldnt [collider whiff] 6B 2C stuff provide better damage? unless you meant "j.C" instead of j.D. I've seen Akira do j.D instead of j.C, probably because pushes better. Whats the best stuff to followup after 9j.C/9j.D(m) j.2C besides gadget?
  21. I think 6D j.D whiff is much more unsafe now because 6D's attack level got nerfed. Its unsafe to the point that even some C moves will beat you cleanly. Btw people, Ragna's hitboxes are now avaiable on framedata
  22. Sorry for taking so long, but there is Order Pizza Sol. With all colors requested and a template for editing, as usual :| Direct links for the rest: http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/6336/ordersolc222opy.png http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/3240/ordersol3333.png BONUS Found this lying on my PSD folder, I have no idea who made it or where I got it, I completely forgot. Whenever you are, thank you very much for this PSD. Also, updated OP.
  23. Well, its a sort of Kara, you are actually dash cancelling the second hit, before it connects. And it works on any sort of block and on hit. HF is good too, but too near, leaves you at disvantage.
  24. People still dont see how 5D is underrated >: Sometimes you can get away with stuff like 5D(1) dash cancel --> stuff and its variations. Kaqn usually, or rarely, catches people offguard by just doing 2A 5D(1) (DC) Grab/Pressure resets/Inferno divider/6D etc. Surely, thats a hugeass gap for punishes, but lets get throw in some randomness.
  25. These are some ok strings, but most can be mashed out.
