They said one of them is out of practice if I'm not mistaken. -

Yeah, I don't know too much about GG lore besides what I've seen in AC, but that caught me off guard. I'm not sure if that's a Valentine norm or what... -
Seeing Tsubaki's 241D 236D Orb against Growler is hilarious in it's own right. It's pretty much endless seconds of clash when seen for the first time. It doesn't beat hot potato.

It seems to move pretty fast based on the vids, which would be good for responsiveness I suppose. I'd assume, with enough time, someone could fine-tune setups and other things with timed-based muscle memory. -
I actually think that's why they keep Tsubaki low too. She's easier on the execution for someone like me, though I played a lot of fraudulent Litchi. If she ever got too good...... I've always approached Tsubaki as I have to play smarter to win. It feels like I beat Ornstein and Smough when I beat a good Koko....

American media follows TGS pretty well, so they'll be news, vids and announcements galore on familiar sites while a lot of just gameplay stuff will probably be on youtube. In fact, the Persona 5 preview trailer and a lot of of pre-TGS stuff is widely on youtube. I'm sure people will upload to youtube eventually. Media will probably show trailers.gameplay given to them mostly. I'm not sure how much we'll see on Xrd specifically. IIRC on all of that. It's basically Japanese Gamescom, E3 etc. Sometimes Arc has had tournaments in the past but who knows. Nerdjosh said Ruu is coming here for a tourney in Connecticut next week for +R. I gotta find the date for that. -

^^It's probably way back at this point. Did anyone find anything interesting in the translations? I only read what the auto-translator gave me which was decent enough. It did mention that Elphet's champagne attack should be quite useful. I'm also interested in seeming Sin a lot more now because we haven't seen that guy in motion either. -

I'm curious how this will affect the flow when using her stationary rifle and if that'll force people to initially rush her down. I can see the power increasing being useful against more patient opponents. Perhaps for someone like Potemkin who can slide head or w/e. she may not be too bad for him. On the other hand, if her shotgun is good enough, that forces people to make a choice. -

I'm just ready to see them in motion, even if it's played poorly. I like the look of her rifle too. I hope it looks as cool in action. -

I always liked Millia's design-- maybe not X so much. Lol, characters with little fan-service that aren't underage-- Tsubaki? I'm curious to see some TGS gameplay. I keep forgetting about Sin after the latest character announcement. I'm looking forward to gameplay more than anything. As a Robo-Ky user, I'm looking for someone to main. -
Someone told me she doesn't have as much stun so her her 236236C/D is harder to land after long combos. Maybe they meant J.214A/B super?
-
Dang i have been worse the last few days. I completely stop approaching Tsubaki pressure strings aggressively. I can't focus on bad habits (for some reason I like to 7, 77, or 7 66 and I'm struggling to purge the latter from muscle memory) and play normally without freezing. GGs to Selyaria (I already know), Tempest Void, that bullet player BrittleBulletDBC (which is funny), X401996 and his Carl, AAAAKUTAREEE (very nice Tager), and whomever else I missed.
-
Same as above: It's all in the timing. If you're doing it too early, it won't come out and if too late you'll probably not get whatever you're trying. Some dashes are harder than others, like the micro dash which is like moving a few pixels forward.
-
Rushing, I read the wrong discussion topic. >_> My bad. I guess there won't be much more loketests.
-
Thanks to xAzureFlameGod for the matches. i had to let you go with mercy to find some better players and away from the mirror matches. 24 matches was a good set. Azure is legit with Tsubaki. Those confirms, pressure, combos, damage etc.
-
if you mean dashing and hitting a button without doing forward something/random overhead, you could try holding back when you hit the button. So dash back+normal. Personally, it's not a quick fix and i haven't tried it much myself. I find it has its own execution synch. Personally, I still struggle at times with it regarding Tsubaki and Robo-Ky which is a stable of their pressure, reset game.
-
Interesting Tetsuwo says no one wants to play Tager in tournament. I guess sometimes I don't want to play Tager either. Mitsurugi and Galileo are at least candid. Carl is up there.
-
I started to after my air game got figured out. Sometimes I just have to accept that I have to sit there and block that stuff.
-
Yeah, I played her in P4A. Besides the tremendous range and potential damage output, in hindsight, she actually doesn't feel that much different from Tsubaki. Both need momentum and struggle for rushdown but kinda struggle keeping it.
-
I'm not sure. Hazama I've been using air orbs at full screen, just out of chain reach, to make him not want to approach by air as a launch will send him flying into it. But it's along okay if you aren't predictable. Ragna you gotta space it perfectly. The worst you can do is do it too high and let him run under you. I try to get them to expect it and mix in IAD j.C, neutral jumps or something else. I'm sure the higher level Tsubaki players (regarding me) will have some ideas.
-
Yeah, she is a bit reliant on them. You'll get pushed out of range in pressure pretty easily and people will try to disrespect you by jabbing or even trying to DP all of your strings and resets. You can frametrap by putting slight delays in her followup moves or knowing your frame data. I'm pretty bad at frametrapping with followups mid match. I get most of my counter-hits/hits by confusing people where my resets are or baiting there punishes (very straightforward vanilla). I think even 5A>5B is a frametrap according to Kiba's guide, 6B>5B etc. Speaking of things, I think in general, I am not masking my intent in gameplay enough. I think I'm overall straightforward and I'm not concealing myself in neutral/footsie game. Also, I think so much recent ranked matches due to low numbers in lobbies allowed me to start overextending myself more than norming. I got too frustrated in the Tsubaki/Ragna matchup yesterday. I bodied the Ragna player and then lost the next 5 matches after he solved my orbs.
-
i think Litchi has always had that iirc--I should be confident since I played fraud Litchi since CT. She already loses DP without staff and a ton of other options. It's other stuff that can break characters. In CS1, Litchi's 6D could stuff Ragna's Carnage Scissors, which is mad scary.
