  1. Even if the gameplay sucks, it'll be interesting to see all of this stuff happen.
  2. If anybody went to NEC, I was the guy playing Mai/Shiki. Blake/T. Beast had Robert/Kim.
  3. I didn't even know that worked, then again I've never played Kaede.
  4. Hit confirming what? Kaede's meter all goes toward level 2 during qcb C or after command throw. I don't even remember what OROCHI's supers are. There's that throw one right? I seem to remember it being pretty decent, but Kaede's light saber one is sooo strong and versatile.

I'm not going to argue that, as I know next to nothing about the character, but I'd think that certain summons are much better in certain matchups than others, and the probability of getting Raou is never really known either. I realize the player takes advantage of what's given him when the summon is out, but Ky and other characters have their best tools at their disposal without having to wait or any other random factors. So yeah, that's why I said that. Didn't I play you on Xbox Live like four years ago? lol
  7. Main thing I recall about these matches: "what the fuck? I did a Sacred Edge?" lol :D I agree with Phrek. Good matches Austin. edit: Man, I think it's just that. Ky is as consistent as Zappa is random.
  8. It would seem that all upcoming tournaments are sticky, all finished tournaments are unstickied. It's a fair way to do it as any, I guess.

  10. I like this game. It has a solid system with an old school feel. North Carolina is really well-known for this game, we have the largest scene and the best players. NGBC was often overlooked because of people seeing Big/Kim shenanigans and the idea that it was "SVC2", but the further you get into it, it becomres more apparent how these concerns are exaggerated. The universal roll can get you out of many nasty situations, throw is great, more characters than you would think can compete. My only real concern with the game is how meter is gained. Try it. It's a fun game. Big/Kim is easy top tier, but easy top tier doesn't always win tournaments, does it? (Slash Ky.)
  11. Running SVT is always a free VT loop on all characters. I find that I rarely need to FRC for loops and it's not worth it usually anyway. Take the knockdown. You don't always have to use 2P to continue the combo. You can use 5K often, sometimes c.S if they're lights. the combos are pretty easy and eventually you'll just know whether or not they're be at the correct height to do a loop.
  12. 5K is your good meaty normal, but yes, it's throwable. Just don't get so close to them. It'd be nice if 6K was throw invincible...and an overhead...and combo into c.S...and wallbounce on air hit...

  16. Sure, you've seen Ky's 6P beat lots of jump-ins. That's what 6P's do, they're universal anti airs (in most cases). Chances are, also, that whatever you're beating with it could actually hit you if they were in more deep with the move. I said Slayer's not only for its invincibility and anti air uses, but because of the combo damage available off of it. And it has an FRC point.
  17. Ky's 6P? What's so great about it? It has less invincibility than a lot of them and its properties otherwise aren't very impressive imo. I would give best 6P to Slayer. anyway check this out son: KY Pro'S: hard to put in your COMBO's Con'S: bad dmg

  21. short version: the AI will block everything unless it's already doing a move. It rarely guards on wakeup. It does very stupid things. You basically have to just alternate between punishing its stupid shit and hitting it when it's getting off the ground, since it will mostly either try to do something stupid or backdash instead of just sitting there to block. It will most likely -not- do an invincible move on wakeup. Overhead/low mixups are basically useless, at maniac level anyway. For I-no, just play conservatively while she has meter and otherwise fight her like anybody else. CPU doesn't do good combos with her.
