  1. Yeah, I like Goryus's Lambda. Probably my second favourite Lambda. First would be Pulsr.
  2. Start-up is 18-27 frames (distance-dependant), but most people just wait for Lambda's block-string to end. It gives neither you or your opponent frame-advantage. So unless they IB, it is safe. If your opponent is fond of IB punishes I wouldn't risk it. Other than that, I wouldn't use 3C in block-strings all that much. 2B is also a low that can gatling into 6B and give you a j.cancel option.
  3. TK's are obviously very important for a Lambda player. For combo's, you will be wanting to do them as soon as possible, as low to the ground as possible. During block-strings, pressure, and mix-up, you can do low TK's or higher TK's by delaying the D-button. For now, just get used to doing TK's as low as possible. If you're comfortable at close range, try doing TK feints into 2B > 3C > 236B, or any other variation.
  4. My biggest problem with every character I know is combo's. I didn't have to worry about that with Nu, Noel, or Tager. But progress is good. My melee with Lambda has transferred very well. It may even be better because of the new Primer system and Lambda's Parsers. I haven't been able to touch Tsubaki yet, as I've been playing offline casuals for quite some time. I can do almost all of Lambda's challenges (except 10), but I don't get all the 5C hits in. So I've done 1-6 so far, and I do 3 TK's off a throw, and then do a finisher. I'll get used to the timing soon hopefully. 5. Got CS, played casually for some hours. Things I did / thought that I still do / still think Things I was not expecting Random notes Finally: I guess what happened is that you all made Lambda sound super hard. She's hard but not super hard. Reminds me of when I couldn't do Noel's Haida, except a bit harder. Most of the problems I've having were expected, and are going to be fixed with time. I've prepared as much as I could have for them, and I think that it definitely is helping ^.^ Keep in mind that this is my personal opinion, so it's subjective.
  6. Sounds great. Who's your actual main now? I'm definitely going to try and add Tsubaki to my large list of subs. I might as well learn Mu since a lot of her normals are the same as Lambda's. If you decide to main Tsubaki and sub Lambda, that'd be pretty cool since our mains/subs would be reversed. I'm hoping to get the game in about 8 hours ^.^

  7. I think he meant AA > 6C. For example, 6A > 6C. And 6C > Dash > 2DD is more damaging, simply put.
  8. All I have to say is to be wary of IB 720's if you decide to rush him down while he's blocking 236D. With that being said, I'm sure you could bait it as well. lol, Here's another thing I'm seeing. If Tager decides to jump and you make him block 2D/6D, cancel it into 236D or 236D~C and he'll land right in range. He'll be forced to lose more primers since his only option is to block.
  9. I always lean towards meterless, but if you have the heat, why not? Thanks guys.
  10. Try jump cancelling other normals besides 2C. Maybe it's just me, but 2C is the most obvious jump cancellable move. The opponent just has to block low until they see you in the air (min. 21 frames). If you jump cancel 6A/6B, your opponent won't expect it. And I have a question. Say you are doing random corner pressure / mix-up, and you connect a random TK. I'm assuming you can hit-confirm the TK into Lambda's standard loop?
  11. We're both getting it on Friday then ^.^ See ya on CS! I won't be jumping online for the first few days though. I'm going to finish Story Mode and maybe Legion Mode as well.

  12. Do you have CS yet?

  13. Frame data says that it has invincibility from the 1st-3rd frame after the super flash. It doesn't say anything about invincibility before the super flash though. It probably just has a very good hit-box before the super flash.
  14. Calamity Sword is a good move for super flash buffering (depends on which DD your opponent does).
  15. I think that's 360B. But maybe you're not doing the 5B fast enough? Quite a few 360 combos are character specific.
  16. Wrong person =/

  17. My melee block-strings/combos do work in CS. That's all I'm saying. Obviously I need to learn some new stuff. And TK's can be done high or low or a medium height off the ground, and I switch heights depending on the situation. How about I send you two a video of my CT style and then show the same tricks in CS? I was planning on making a trailer of my Nu/Lambda anyways, so I'll show you guys around a month from now. And IB DP's are the best. I can't wait to do them. I use to do IB Calamity Sword, but even that seemed too risky. As much as I've tried to prepare, I'm definitely not going to be 100% prepared. That's what we're saying right? Anyways, we'll see when I get CS. Which is hopefully in just half a day. We'll see if what I've done has made the transition smoother than others.
  18. Well, I meant basically that the way I'm going to play Lambda smoothes the transition. And yeah, I'm thinking about melee Lambda. Lambda's should know how to play at least a bit of rush-down with Lambda, especially with TK feints and all her jump cancellable normals. Basically, I think zoning Nu's will have more trouble transitioning, but melee Nu's will have a much easier time. And it wasn't offensive at all. I'm not going to be 100% prepared for Lambda, but besides the combos and new moves and timing, my play-style won't change that much. So I'd say I'm 1/3 of the way on to my Lambda. As long as the melee Nu doesn't use 2C, or jump cancel 5D/4D, the transition will be much easier than a zoning Nu.
  19. Sorry, but I think Nu practice can help you with Lambda. Lambda's normals aren't that different from Nu's. The only changes are 5C doesn't change directions if your opponent crosses you up, 2C isn't insanely good, and her normals in general are more punishable. I've switched my Nu to a melee Nu, and almost everything I do with melee Nu does work with Lambda. I've seen videos of Lambda doing the things I do with my Nu. So I basically picked a style of Lambda that I like, and applied it to Nu. Obviously the combos will be different, but I'll fix those problems with time. Basically, I'm arguing that the way I play my Nu will work for CS. And what I do isn't too risky and is something most Lambda's/Nu's should do anyways. So how about a friendly bet? I think that the way I play my Nu will work for CS, and I think that it will be just as effective, if not more effective because of Lambda's new Parcers. What you're saying is that playing Nu doesn't help prepare you for Lambda...
  20. Another spambot: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9408-Squat-shaped-men-NFL-Jerseys-is-your-best-friend Username is wuyanhua. He's created multiple advertising threads.
  21. =/ I thought CH 2C makes the opponent OTG which means no 3C? You probably meant 6C. And those Nu combos have a lot more potential, but I'm guessing you do them to be flashy or they are your favourite combos, etc. Severin probably meant that those exact combos could not be done. Some Nu combos do work with Lambda, and a lot of Nu's combo enders are the same as Lambda's.
  22. Lambda has really good potential for mix-up. I'll teach you some tricks if you do decide to learn Lambda. Yaya and Safety will do fine. Mix-up with Lambda is actually my favourite thing about Nu/Lambda, and it's also my strongest area of Lambda. Just give a call if you ever need help with Lambda

  23. Have you tried Lambda yet? You may not enjoy her unless you play a melee-oriented Lambda. The way I play Lambda will be zoning to get away, and once they start blocking, I'll close in to melee mix-up and mind games.

  24. *cough*Online is free*cough* I don't have CS yet, but I'll hit you up in about a month for some matches.

  25. How many matches have you fought? I bet you're beasting with Ragna's 5B. By the way, I considered creating a Nu2C account to troll, but it's not that good anymore.
