  1. Some of her Challenge combos I can only do 60% of the time correctly, so I just alter it to do 200-300 less damage, but I can get those consistently. It's better to learn them, but I personally don't like risking a dropped combo.
  2. Very good work. Lambda actually has quite a few character specific combos on Litchi, Arakune, and some fun and damaging combos on Tager. As for the DP mid combo... Not really mid combo, but whenever I get a clean 3C, I sometimes follow up with 214A and I believe you can get around 3K... Personal preference if you want to waste that DP, but it does do some decent meterless damage.
  3. I'll add you on later tonight. I'm not sure how not playing the game for 2 weeks will affect me, but I'll need to see how this break has affected me. I played with cookiehour 3 weeks ago, and the lag didn't affect the game too much, so to speak. I'm ac1791 on PSN

  4. You're having trouble with block-strings? That's my expertise as a Lambda. Looks like we'll have to play more, and hopefully you can pick up some things you like.

  5. Well, I think that j.DD dj.DD feels not in rhythm, I suppose... Like, 5DD 6DD 2DD j.DD dj.2DD feels like there's the same gap in timing for all those hits, but j.DD dj.2DD feels somewhat faster.
  6. Just a bit more damage. Nothing to worry about. My video quality is really bad. I could use my mom's camera, which would make it look very good, but I just use my laptop computer, and save myself the hassle. Unless it's a special fight or request ^.~ I might actually re-record some special fights against some famous players I've fought. Example of bad quality (since I almost always upload wins): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCpJzhMrm6c This is a day-3 Lambda versus a day-2 Litchi, and we're using CT basics to carry us, so... We're both much better now. I'm going to record some offline play of me today, since I'm leaving home for 11 days or so.
  7. Personal choice. It just feels awkward to me. It's a little too fast. Plus, most of the people I see who use it, always do j.DD > dj.D > dj.214D. They miss a hit XD I almost always do j.DD > j.214D~C > j.DD > dj.2DD > dj.214D. But enough talk of a feint mid combo. But whatever, it's not a lot of missed damage anyways. I have to get more Litchi matches recorded. The only one I have is my 3-day Lambda vs. a 2-day Litchi. I thought I had recorded more than that...
  8. Your best thing to do with Lambda (for now) is to flowchart 5DD. What does your opponent do after 5DD? Do they stay blocking? Do they attempt to jump out of pressure? Your best bet is usually going to be 5DD > 214D. You can throw in 214D~C if they're far enough, but some characters can punish you if they have 50 Heat. 236D is deceptively slow (44 frames), while 214D is 35 frames. Stuff jump ins with 2DD or 6DD. If blocked, cancel into 214D, and zone. If it hits, continue into a combo. A really good combo you can do to lead into 236C is a Counter Hit 5D (1 hit only) > 236C. Or 214A > 5C(8) > 6C > 236C. You could also do 236D > 236C, if they're getting hit by the pinwheel. Try to not randomly spam Parser, and be cautious with D spamming, as they're a lot more punishable now.
  9. Haha, well, I guess we'll see. If I see you in a Player room, I'll definitely try to get a match in with you. I fought against someone from New York, and we had 1 bar. So we would probably have 1 or 2 bars.

  10. Hmm... Nice to know. I once did GF > 423B > 720C, when a Litchi tried to DP out of pressure.
  11. 360A if your opponent is fond of 5A/2A mashing.
  12. Wow, I didn't think there was an arcade in Vancouver. No wonder we have a great connection. I'll definitely check it out if I have some time to. I wouldn't mind playing CT now and again either. Thanks!

  13. But you live in Canada? We have a 3-bar connection. Which arcade do you speak of? I wouldn't be able to go, but I'm just curious...

  14. Do you live in USA or Canada? West coast or East coast? It's rare for me to fight any Lambda, but I certainly wouldn't mind fighting you if our connection is good ^.~

  15. Depends on the Litchi. Some Litchi's are just aggressive, and others are very patient. The aggressive ones will always try to keep you blocking, and given Litchi's mix-up, your defence might falter O.O IB and IAD away is always a good and safe idea. IB > Punish is if you want that risk vs. reward. Take advantage of aggressive Litchi's and their IAD's with 214D, 2DD, 6DD, etc. Easy combo: 2DD > 6C > etc. I get to fight a very good Litchi online, and my brother subs Litchi, so I have some offline experience as well. I'll post some videos later.
  16. Definitely a frustrating match-up. One use for Lambda's DP in this match is to reverse being trapped in the corner, if you find yourself in one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReJZXx64l14 Maybe it's just me, but Litchi is one of those characters who is very easy to IB. You can IB > punish, or play it safe and IB > IAD away and zone. This has saved me a couple of times: both have low health, and the Litchi does her Great Wheel DD close to you. Super flash buffer Lambda's 632146D, and it'll hit Litchi for 2800 before you get hit.
  17. Noel's block-strings are very easy to Instant Block > DP. If you can't IB, then I guess you would 5A mash in between her gaps of pressure. Punish whiffed drive moves with Counter Hit 5D (one hit) > 236C > etc. Watch out for typical Noel mix-up (3C, 6B, etc.). If she lands a 3C or 6B, it's a very easy 3K-3.7K Other than that, you'd just stick to zoning her like a typical Lambda match.
  18. Lambda: 236A (30-38 frames, can cancel into throw or Astral after 31st frame) 236B (18-27 frames, distant dependant) 236C (30 frames) Her Parsers suck if you know the Lambda's going to use it. You can 5A/2A her out of it on reaction, if you have enough experience. If you block it, don't try to punish unless it's a 2A. 2A beats out Lambda's 3C. If you try to punish, be wary of Lambda's (terribad) DP.
  19. Alright. You did well with the DP baiting, taking advantage of my impatience and aggressive style, and I was impressed with your combo knowledge. Not many people know CH j.C > Land > 5C(8) > 6C > etc. The only thing advice I have (for now) is to use Lambda's DP more. Sure, it's one of the worst DP's in the game, but it's a DP. So practice IB > DP. Or you could try IB > Calamity Sword. Ever fought BlooD_Gemini? In CT, I only beat him 2/20 times. I might've lost and gotten perfected a lot, but in the end, I got much better. You're much better than you give yourself credit for! Don't be too hard on yourself ^.~

  20. I like how she can Astral from her 22D. All I do is 5BB > 2BB > 22D, on hit or block, and it works 99% of the time (online that is...). Maybe it's because I sub her, but I don't fall for her tricks nearly as much as others who don't main/sub her.
  21. What's up? ac1791 here (the red Lambda). You gave me my first loss on Ranked, but I tied it up. I saw your replay against Bang. You're my favourite Noel player ^.^ I hope my Noel learns the Haida loop someday.

  22. My favourite posts: Recovery (frames): 5D = 48 2D = 45 6D = 47 4D = 57 j.D = 47 j.2D = 47 On to Tsubaki:
  23. I'm guessing it's similar to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReJZXx64l14
  24. Steins not set up: Mu < Lambda Steins set up: Mu > Lambda Both have punishable drives. Mu has a much better DP. Lambda has very little options defensively, so take advantage of that.
  25. Be patient. The worst thing to do against Lambda is to senselessly rush in.
